The Hello Ladybug bundle was one of the first products on my wish list for the Stampin' Up! mini catalog. You know me and my punches, I was beyond excited when this bundle included a punch. Isn't the ladybug so stinkin' cute?!

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! I love being a part of this wonderful blog hop with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world.  Each month we share different crafting ideas with all of you! This month we are sharing projects that are anything but cards. I love this one!

I am so excited about this month's blog hop! I love to make cards, but I love to do 3D projects, scrapbooking and home decor more! When I heard that we were doing anything but a card and it was Christmas time, I knew I wanted to make a Christmas ornament. The question was, which one?

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, New At SU Blog Hop, Christmas Ornament, 2021 Holiday catalog, Blackberry Beauty, created by Stampin Scrapper. For more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman
Look how beautiful the Blackberry Beauty designer series paper from the Stampin' Up! holiday catalog is! I will have to say, this is the first time I have used this paper. Why, in the world, did I wait until now! Of course, it is retiring and already sold out.  I apologize for sharing a product that is no longer available. I had made this ornament a while ago when it was still current and didn't have time to remake it.

You can make this ornament from any designer series paper you have on hand. You could get so many different looks, just by changing the paper.

Here is a side view of the ornament, so you can see the design easier. I made a rosette for on top of the ornament and then added a Gilded Gem.

I did not design this ornament, I got the directions from Jo Blackman, a fellow demonstrator. Thank you Jo for sharing your beautiful project with everyone.

I needed them in a hurry as I had to get them out in the mail the next day.  I knew I wanted to use designer series paper as it is a great focal point for any card. I used the In Good Taste designer series paper, from the annual catalog, which is perfect for masculine cards.

For the Happy Birthday sentiment, I wanted one that was on the bigger size. I found the perfect one in the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set. The Happiest of Birthday is one of the stamp sets that is on sale today, Wednesday, October 20th, during the 24 Hour Stamp Sale.

When I started thinking about what project I wanted to make this month, I remembered I had this strip of paper left from the Beauty of the Earth designer series pack. I looked through the holiday catalog to see what stamp set/dies could I use to make a card with it. I turn the page to the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set and knew that I wanted to use that set.

Have you seen the Penguin Playmate designer series paper in the Sale-A-Bration brochure?  Oh, my goodness it is so stinkin' cute and it coordinates with the Penguin Place bundle in the Stampin' Up! holiday catalog. Yay!

When I sat down to begin creating my project, I challenged myself to see how many different designs of the paper I could use on my card. I ended up making this creative fold card with 5 different papers from the pack! I couldn't believe it. I have to say, it was so much fun challenging myself.

I don't know if you are like me, where I have my favorite designs in the paper pack and don't even look at the rest of them. This way I was able to use a lot of them. I am going to have to do challenges like this more often.

It is hard to show sometimes how cards fold on pictures, so I took this one looking down at it.  I think it is easier to see how it folds together.

To make this project you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock:

Fresh Freesia

  • cut at 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" score at 3"

Basic White

  • cut 2 at 2 7/8" x 4 1/8"
  • cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
  • cut at 3" x 8" score at 4"

Just Jade

  • scraps for 3 trees

Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper

  • cut 2 at 2 3/4" x 4"
  • cut at 2 7/8" x 3 7/8"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

On the front of the card all the animals came from one sheet of the designer series paper.  I fussy cut the bear and fox and used the Penguin Builder punch to punch out the penguin. The trees were punched out of Just Jade card stock using the Pine Tree Punch.

Here are more pictures where you can see the paper better on each section.  The little tree on the white cardstock with the sentiment I fussy cut from the same paper as I cut the animals out of.

I think you are going to love this paper as much as I do. The best part about this paper is... IT'S FREE!!! Please be advised that all of the products in the Sale-A-Bration brochure are while supplies last.  So, if there is something that you really want, don't wait too long or it could be sold out.

New at SU - Tidings of Christmas Suite Card and Gift Card Holder

New At SU Blog Banner

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! I love being a part of this wonderful blog hop with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world.  Each month we share different crafting ideas with all of you! This month our theme is our favorite suite in the new Stampin' Up! annual catalog.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!. New At SU Blog Hop, Tidings of Christmas Suite, Christmas Card, Christmas Gift Card Holder, Gift Card Holder, Tidings & Trimmings stamp set, Christmas Tidings dies, Stitched So Sweetly dies, Tidings of Christmas designer series paper, handmade card, created by Stampin Scrapper. For more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I was wondering, or should I say hoping, if Stampin' Up! was going to have any new Christmas stamp sets and/or suites in the new annual catalog.  When I saw the Tidings of Christmas suite on page 88 & 89, I was so excited.  I start my Christmas card classes in August, so I am very happy that I will have new products to create with for my first class.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!. New At SU Blog Hop, Tidings of Christmas Suite, Christmas Card, Christmas Gift Card Holder, Gift Card Holder, Tidings & Trimmings stamp set, Christmas Tidings dies, Stitched So Sweetly dies, Tidings of Christmas designer series paper, handmade card, created by Stampin Scrapper. For my project this month, I wanted to make a Christmas card and gift card holder. I originally thought I would be making two different projects, but when I saw a corner fold card that was also a gift card holder onlline, I knew this was what I wanted to make. I don't know about you, but I give a lot of gift cards for birthdays, Christmas and other occasions, so this card design will be perfect.

This is the inside of the card without the gift card inside the pocket.  Now you could see how I decorated the inside of the card, especially the backside of where the gift card goes.  I love the Tidings of Christmas designer series paper.  There are 12 different designs in the 6" x 6" pack, which gives you so many possibilities!

To decorate my card, I stamped the sentiment in Sahara Sand ink and cut it out using the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  I added a little bit of color with the cutouts from the Christmas Trimmings dies using Cherry Cobbler and Soft Succulent cardstock.  I finished off the card by adding a bow made with the beautiful Chevron Weave ribbon in Evening Evergreen.

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! I love being a part of this wonderful blog hop with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world.  Each month we share different crafting ideas with all of you! This month our theme is a creative fold featuring one of the new 2021-2023 annual catalog.

I wanted to make a creative fold card that I hadn't made before and I wanted to use the You're A Peach designer series paper. So, I went online and starting looking at different types of folds.  I found this one, triple accordion fold, a few different times on Pinterest.  This fold is very easy and really makes your card have the WOW factor.

On the inside of the card and on the envelope I stamped the oranges from the Sweet As A Peach stamp set.

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! I love being a part of this wonderful blog hop with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world.  Each month we share different crafting ideas with all of you!  Today we are showcasing retiring products from the 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! annual catalog, along with a technique!  I decided I was going to try a new technique that I just heard about.  Why I haven't seen or heard of it before, I do not know! Can you guess what technique I am talking about? Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, What's New at SU blog hop, Gorgeous Posies stamp set, Joseph's Coat technique, Timeless Label Punch, handmade cards, birthday cards, created by Stampin Scrapper. If you guessed the Joseph's Coat Technique, you are correct! One of my friends/downline asked if I had ever heard of the Joseph's Coat Technique.  I had not, but I sure wanted to find out about it.  So, off to YouTube I went.  Wow!!!  It is so cool and so fun to do.  There are endless possibilities with this technique.

Since we are showcasing retired products, I decided challenged myself.  I could only use retiring products on this card and I did!  I used the beautiful Gorgeous Posies stamp set, four of the  2019-2021 In Colors, Pretty Peacock, Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray and Terracotta Tile.  I also used the Timeless Label punch and the beautiful Seaside Spray Metallic ribbon, which I am going to miss.  I am sure glad I bought a bunch of the ribbon a long time ago.  The Seaside Spray is actually one of my daughter's colors for her wedding.

Aren't these flowers absolutely beautiful!  I will definitely do this technique more.  I think this is going to be an awesome technique for fall projects!  My creative juices are already flowing.

New At SU Blog Hop Banner

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are showcasing products from the mini catalog. I have been wanting to play with the Hydrangea Hill suite, but haven't had a chance.  So, today I did!

StampinUpNewAtSUBlogHopHydrangeaHillSuiteMiniPaperPumpkinClearTinyTreatBoxLoveYouAlwaysTreatBoxStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman

I was trying to decide what I wanted to make for my project this month.  I could make a card, a scrapbook page, a 3D project or maybe something else.  Then I remembered that Stampin' Up! has wonderful boxes in different sizes.  Which is perfect as I need a couple of boxes for some gifts.

StampinUpHydrangeaHavenMiniPaperPumpkinBoxNewatSUBlogHopStampinScrapperJoyceWhitmanThe first box I decorated was the Mini Paper Pumpkin box.  I love the size of this box.   You can make note cards and add it to the box and you have a perfect gift.  You can put candy, jewelry or gift tags just to name a few.  The possibilities are endless.

To decorate this Mini Paper Pumpkin box I used the following products:

  • Hydrangea Hill stamp set
  • Gorgeous Grape cardstock
  • Basic White cardstock
  • Hydrangea Hill designer series paper
  • Mossy Meadow ink
  • Gorgeous Grape sheer ribbon
  • Pastel Pearls
  • Story Label punch

This box, Love You Always Treat box, is fun to decorate.  You can find this box in the Stampin' Up! January - June mini catalog. This box is smaller but deeper than the above box.  What is fun about this box is that the inside slides out.  I like to use this box for when I am giving someone a gift card.  The gift card fits perfect and it makes it look special.  Who doesn't love to receive a pretty gift box!

To decorate this Love You Always Treat box I used the following products:

  • Hydrangea Hill stamp set
  • Gorgeous Grape cardstock
  • Hydrangea Hill designer series paper
  • Gorgeous Grape sheer ribbon
  • Label Me Lovely punch
  • Stitched Shapes dies

Want to give someone a little treat and make it look special?  I have the perfect box for you!  The Clear Tiny Treat Box from Stampin' Up!  This is one of the easiest boxes to decorate.  You can wrap a piece of ribbon around it and tie a bow and your done!  You can also wrap designer series paper around it.  To make nicer, you can add a bow too.  To go one step further, you can do the designer series paper, ribbon and put a sentiment on it, like I did in the above picture.   So many possibilities!

To decorate this Clear Tiny Treat box I used the following products:

  • Oval Occasions stamp set
  • Gorgeous Grape cardstock
  • Highland Heather cardstock
  • Hydrangea Hill designer series paper
  • Gorgeous Grape ink
  • Gorgeous Grape sheer ribbon
  • Pastel Pearls
  • Double Oval punch
  • Small Bloom punch

Three different boxes, but all easy to decorate for any occasion you may have.  Which one is your favorite?
