When Emily's friend text me and asked if it was alright to have a couple's bridal shower for Jeff and Emily while I was in Texas I said "Sure!"  She did such a beautiful job with everything.  Her theme was Let's Taco 'bout Love.  How cute is that!  The decorations, games and food were so cute and delicious.  

I saw this card online and knew that this was the card I wanted to make for the shower.  I used some retired products on this card, but I wanted to stay with the theme of the wedding.  Their colors are Powder Pink and Seaside Spray (both retired).  I have so much paper and ribbon in both of the colors.  LOL  

I don't know how many times I tried to take the pictures of this card.  For some reason the vellum is showing up gray and there is this bright light behind the flowers.  It didn't matter which way I turned the card or adjusted my lights, it still had the glow behind the flowers.  I really like the pictures, it was so different, so I kept them.  I probably couldn't do this again if I tried.  LOL

Here is a close up of the flowers.  I used a sponge to put Powder Pink ink on a piece of white cardstock and then I punched out the flowers using the Small Bloom punch (which is retired).  I also used the Forever Flourishing dies to cut out all the sprigs and leaves.  I added pearls to the flowers and some around them bouquet.  They look gray in the picture too, but they are white.  

This card was made with lots of love and prayers.  As I was making the card, which I had so much fun doing, I was praying for Emily and Jeff and their marriage.  I can't wait to see Emily in her beautiful wedding gown in July.  She is going to be absolutely beautiful.

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are showcasing love and hearts.  I knew right away that I wanted to use the beautiful Forever & Always bundle from the new 2021 Stampin' Up! mini catalog.

I can't begin to tell you how beautiful the Love You Always specialty designer series paper is.  Then you add the gorgeous Love You Always Foil Sheets!  Out Of This World!!! I couldn't just make one project with this paper, I had to make two.  

The first project I made was the Love You Always Treat Box.  I stamped the flowers from the Forever & Always stamp set in the new Stampin' Up! mini catalog using Black Memento ink.  I colored the flowers with the Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Rococo Rose blends.  I cut them out using the Always dies that coordinate with the stamp set.  If you order both, the stamp set and dies, as a bundle, you will save 10%.  Yay! 

I then designed the card to coordinate with the treat box.  I wanted to use the same designer series paper and flowers, but this time I added the Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon.   This ribbon is beautiful!  What I really like about it, is that it has two totally different sides to it.  The first side is a little rough to the touch, but has a more distinct gold color with the Rococo Rose.  On the other side of the ribbon, it is softer and has a subtle gold hue to it.  I liked the smooth side better for this project. 

I added one of the Heart Charms and three of the Matte Black Dots to both of the projects.  Of course, we need a little more sparkle, so I added Wink of Stella to the flowers.  

This project is perfect for Valentine's Day, a wedding, anniversary, birthday or just because.

I have a new son-in-law!!!  I still can't believe my baby is married.  We had a great time at her mini wedding and she was absolutely beautiful.  

Due to all of the things going on with COVID-19, we had to postpone her big wedding until next year.  We were, however, able to have a mini one this year.   There was just immediate family there, so it was small and intimate.  

This is the card that I made for them.  Emily's favorite flower is the peony, so of course, I had to use the Peony Garden designer series paper, Peony dies, Gray Granite Shimmer ribbon and Elegant Faceted Gems.  I used the sentiment from the Last A Lifetime stamp set.  

I colored the flowers with the Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam and Daffodil Delight Blends markers.  

To give the Gray Granite background some texture I used the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder.

It was such a special day for Emily and Jeff.  Not the wedding they had planned, that will be next year, but it was still special.  The love between them and for God was so evident.  What a blessed day!  I am so thankful that we were able to be there with them.

Mr. Wonderful loves penguins, so when I saw the Playful Penguins stamp set in the Stampin' Up! holiday catalog, I knew I had to order it.  I have to admit, when I saw them in the catalog I thought they were cute.  However, when I saw them in person, I was so wrong.  They are so stinkin' cute! 

I knew I was going to make a card with this stamp set for Mr. Wonderful for our anniversary; I just wasn't sure which one.  He loved his card, so I must have made the right one!

I used the die from the In The Woods die set to cut the snow bank.  The snowflakes on the Seaside Spray cardstock are stamped with silver metallic ink.  I also stamped the snowflakes on the bottom of the inside Whisper White panel and on the bottom of the envelope.  The penguins and the scarves I fussy cut them using our awesome Paper Snips.

Are you like me, if you don't have a product in view  you forget you have it.  That is what happened with the Bird Ballad Laser Cut Cards.  I am not sure why I forgot about them, they are beautiful!  

My sister and brother in law celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this month, so I used one of them for their card.  I love it!  When I went looking for a sentiment I found this one in the Verdant Garden stamp set.  You can use this sentiment for an anniversary card, a wedding card or an engagement card.

I had mine in the tin and had put it on a shelf, so I think I forgot all about them.  

You know how I mentioned about how you could use this card for an engagement card.  Well, our daughter got engaged over the weekend.  We are so excited!  

My asthma has been acting up this past week, so I have had to start doing breathing treatments and taking steroids.  Because of both of these I don't have a voice most of the time and I am coughing quite a bit.  The more I talk the worse both of them get.  I will be back on Monday, May 29th with my Paper Pumpkin hit and alternative projects.

I love doing my Facebook lives and am always looking for different ideas for projects to create during them.  The other day I saw a post on Facebook that was talking about different techniques using vellum.  I haven't really used vellum that much lately, so this would be perfect for my Facebook Live.   The first project I demonstrated was how to do the Stained Glass technique.  

This technique really does look like stained glass as you can see in the above picture.  The trick to making this card is, making sure when you do the embossing on the front with the Black Embossing Powder that you make sure it is totally set before working with it.  I have a tip in the video further down in this post on how to do this.

I stamped the images using the stamp set Falling Flowers, which is retiring at the end of the month.  The Stampin' Blends markers are perfect for coloring with this technique.  I colors I used were Bermuda Bay - dark, Daffodil Delight - dark, Flirty Flamingo - dark,  Highland Heather - dark, Night of Navy - light Old Olive - dark.  You could use so many different color combinations on this card.

Doesn't it look like stained glass?  I love this technique!

This is the second card I made using vellum.  I have no idea what this technique is called.  I have searched and searched looking for the name and I can't find it.  The most common name was Easy Embossed Vellum.  

To make this card you will need a stylus or something similar to it.  Stampin' Up! doesn't sell just the stylus anymore, but if you have the Stampin' Up! Score Tool  there is a stylus included with it. 

I used the Lovely Floral embossing folder for my image on the vellum and Lemon Zest stamp set for the sentiment.  Both of these products are on the retirement list.  So, if you want them, don't wait, everything is while supplies last.

Today I have an easy and elegant Valentine's Day card to share with you.  The color combination of Lovely Lipstick, black and white colors are so striking.  A while ago I saw a layout like this on Pinterest and fell in love with the clean look of it.  The Lovely Lipstick foil sheets in the Sale-A-Bration brochure is so pretty!  It is hard to get a good picture of the foil sheets, but trust me, it is gorgeous!   

For the banner and circles behind the hearts, I used the Botanical Butterfly designer series paper, which is also in the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  You can earn both of these products for FREE when you purchase  $50 or $100 in product during Sale-A-Bration.  I love butterflies, so of course, I love this paper.  What else I love is the different patterned paper in this paper pack.  I have used the checked and polka dot paper a lot on different projects.  Here is a picture of the different patterns in the paper pack.

You are not going to believe how I came up with this card!  I had been working on Valentine's Day projects and my craft table was a mess.  I went to clean it up and saw all of these odds and ends pieces.  I have the habit of saving them, for some day I will use them, and never touch them again.  I challenged myself to come up with a card with only using the cut outs I had on my table and I had to use the designer series paper that was already on my craft table.  Boy, am I glad my stuff coordinated.  Another reason I love Stampin' Up!

You can use this card for Valentine's Day, a wedding or an anniversary.  There are so many possibilities with this card.  All you have to do is change the designer series paper and the color of your cardstock.

I am so excited for this week!  I had openings in my daycare and you won't believe who I got a phone call from.  One of Emily and Erica's cheerleading coaches!  I can't wait to meet her sweet little boy.  Yes, another boy!  LOL  In the fall I will have all boys in my daycare.  Life will definitely be very active in my home during the day.

I am starting a new bible study on Tuesday, small group on Wednesday, class on Friday and my Joyful Butterflies team meeting on Saturday morning.  It is going to be a busy week, but a fun week!  Do you have any fun things planned this week?

When I made my card for Patti, my downline, I loved how the Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather colors looked with the color white.  So, when I began designing cards for Stamp Camp I knew I wanted to make a card with those colors.  I had a customer request anniversary cards for one of our cards this month and I thought this card was perfect for that.  

I used the Healing Hugs and Itty Bitty Greetings stamp sets and the Tufted embossing folder.  The Healing Hugs stamp set is one of the DistINKtive stamps.  These stamps are a little different than our normal stamps in that they are totally flat.  You stamp them the same way as all of our other stamps, but they give you all the different lays of color.  This stamped image is absolutely beautiful.  

I did learn a trick with these stamps to get a great image. This is one time I was glad I was interrupted.  I had been struggling with getting the perfect image and was ready to give up.   I had inked up my stamp one more time when Mark came down to my stampin studio to ask me a question.  It wasn't maybe 15-20 seconds later that I stamped the image and guess what?  It came out perfect!  So, when you ink up your stamp flip it over and you will see the little bubbles pop, wait maybe 15 seconds,  and then stamp your image.  It is so much prettier when you do this than when you stamp immediately after inking up your stamp.

Today is a sad day as we are heading back home from our week long vacation at Disney.  I can't wait to share with you some of the highlights.  I know we are going to be totally exhausted, but it is a good exhausted.  If you get a chance I would love it if you could say a prayer for all of us traveling.  Erica will be traveling again by herself.  It will be hard to say good bye, especially since her flight is earlier than ours.  She will have to go to the airport by herself, which is going to be so hard.  Thank you for your prayers!

One of my team members, Patti, celebrated her Stampin' Up! anniversary last month and I know she loves the color purple.  I wanted a beautiful card to let her know how blessed I am to have her on my Joyful Butterflies team and to wish her a Happy Anniversary.   

The Healing Hugs stamp set is one of the DistINKtive stamps in the annual catalog.  What's unique about the DistINKtive stamps is they are totally flat. You get this beautiful detail from them, just stamping the way you do with all of our other stamps.  The above picture shows the detail of the stamp.  I wish the picture would show how beautiful it looks in person.  I know you would love it even more if you saw it in person.

The CASEing Tuesday card this week was a perfect layout for this card.  Here is our inspiration card:

On the base of the card, Highland Heather cardstock, I used an image from the Touches of Texture stamp set and stamped it with the Gorgeous Grape ink.  For the border on the left hand side of the Whisper White paper I punched out a strip of the Gorgeous Grape paper with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch.  I then used the Tufted Embossing Folder on the Whisper White paper and added a thin strip of Gorgeous Grape cardstock.  

I stamped the flower with the Highland Heather ink and the leaves with Pear Pizzazz ink.  I added Wink of Stella to the flower and 3 large Rhinestones to give the card a little bit of bling.  Patty loves bling, so I wanted to make sure I got it on the card somewhere.  

To make this card you will need the following products:

Cardstock:

Highland Heather

• cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"  score at 4 1/4"

Gorgeous Grape

• cut at 1" x 5"
• cut at 1/2" x 3"

Whisper White 

• cut at 3" x 5" for front of card
• cut at 2 1/2 x 6" for the flower and leaves
• cut at 4" x 5 1/4" for the inside of the card

On the inside of the card and on the envelope I stamped a flower.  Remember, never send out a naked card.  LOL

Over the weekend I didn't get a chance to post the pictures of Countdown Minnie, so here are the ones we have as of yesterday.  Time is going so fast and I have so much to get down before we leave.  Why is it, you work twice as hard before you leave for vacation and twice as hard when you get back? 

The kids are having so much fun coming in each day to see where Minnie is and what her note says to them.  Emily has been such a blessing in all of this, as she has been doing all of the work,  I am just taking the pictures.
