For this blog hop I made a card using quite a few products from the Occasions catalog.  I started out with knowing that I wanted to use the Rectangle Stitched Framelits that are part of the Amazing Life bundle.  I then wanted to use my favorite designer series paper in the Occasions catalog, All My Love. Another product that I have been using a lot in my Valentine's Day projects is the Be Mine Stitched Edgelits.  The edgelits have a coordinating stamp set, Meant To Be, which I also used on this card for the sentiment.   What I love about these two products, is you can get them in a bundle and save 10%!

To make this card you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

I love it!!! I have been using it a lot in my projects lately, so of course, I had to add it to this project too.  Do you see the little heart by the sentiment?  I was using one of the pieces in the Be Mine edgelits (the one with all the hearts connected together) and all these little hearts came falling out when I picked it up.  I had an ah ha moment and knew I wanted to add one of them to this project somewhere.

This was a fun and easy card to make that anyone would love to get on Valentine's Day!

I always make the host of my workshops a thank you gift for allowing me to share Stampin' Up! products with them and their friends.  My last hostess Stacy, had a Valentine's workshop, which was so much fun.   As my thank you gift, I made her a Tea Tin decorated with the beautiful All My Love designer series paper.

I wanted to make a gift that she could use again.  She could put tea bags, little 3 x 3 note cards, candy (which I did) or what ever else she wanted to use.  I wanted to put a little bit of shine on this, so I used the Lovely Lipstick foil sheets that are in the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  You can earn them FREE when you purchase $50 or $100 from now until March 31st.

To make this project you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

To adhere the designer series paper I used Tear and Tape as I wanted to make sure that it stayed in place.

Yes, I have sampled these.  I don't want to give my hostess bad candy.  LOL

Can you believe it is Monday already?  I am not sure where the weekend went.  Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by.  I hope you have a terrific day!

Today I have an easy and elegant Valentine's Day card to share with you.  The color combination of Lovely Lipstick, black and white colors are so striking.  A while ago I saw a layout like this on Pinterest and fell in love with the clean look of it.  The Lovely Lipstick foil sheets in the Sale-A-Bration brochure is so pretty!  It is hard to get a good picture of the foil sheets, but trust me, it is gorgeous!

For the banner and circles behind the hearts, I used the Botanical Butterfly designer series paper, which is also in the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  You can earn both of these products for FREE when you purchase  $50 or $100 in product during Sale-A-Bration.  I love butterflies, so of course, I love this paper.  What else I love is the different patterned paper in this paper pack.  I have used the checked and polka dot paper a lot on different projects.  Here is a picture of the different patterns in the paper pack.

You are not going to believe how I came up with this card!  I had been working on Valentine's Day projects and my craft table was a mess.  I went to clean it up and saw all of these odds and ends pieces.  I have the habit of saving them, for some day I will use them, and never touch them again.  I challenged myself to come up with a card with only using the cut outs I had on my table and I had to use the designer series paper that was already on my craft table.  Boy, am I glad my stuff coordinated.  Another reason I love Stampin' Up!

You can use this card for Valentine's Day, a wedding or an anniversary.  There are so many possibilities with this card.  All you have to do is change the designer series paper and the color of your cardstock.

I am so excited for this week!  I had openings in my daycare and you won't believe who I got a phone call from.  One of Emily and Erica's cheerleading coaches!  I can't wait to meet her sweet little boy.  Yes, another boy!  LOL  In the fall I will have all boys in my daycare.  Life will definitely be very active in my home during the day.

I am starting a new bible study on Tuesday, small group on Wednesday, class on Friday and my Joyful Butterflies team meeting on Saturday morning.  It is going to be a busy week, but a fun week!  Do you have any fun things planned this week?

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope everyone has a fabulous week!  In Ohio it is going to be warmer, which I am very happy about.

Happy Stampin!

Gift Card Holder & Treat Holder Using Meant To Be

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Meant To Be stamp set #148626, Be Mine Stitched Framelits #148527m Meant to be Bundle #150587, All My Love designer series paper #148576, Pretty Label punch #143715, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Last night I did my second Facebook Live and I loved it!  I am having so much fun doing them.  I hope you are enjoying them too.  If you missed it, it is further down on this post.

The first project I made was the large gift card or embellishment holder.  I made these for my bingo attendees as part of their goodies for attending.  Inside each one there was a pack of the Heart Epoxy Droplets that are in the 2019 Occasions catalog.  I used the All My Love designer series paper along with the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets in the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  Both of the papers are so beautiful!  I tried my best to get good pictures of them to show you, but you will see them better in the video and even more in person.

This holder would work for a lot of the embellishments in the Stampin' Up! catalogs and also for a big gift card.  What I mean about a big gift card is the ones that come with packaging all around the gift card.  I didn't get a picture of the gift card with the holder as I thought of it as I was prepping for my Facebook live.  You will see the type of gift card I am talking about in the video.

To make this project you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

To finish off this project I added three Rhinestones to the sentiment.

The second project I made was for the Ghirardelli Caramel Duet Hearts candy.  I thought when I bought these that they were the normal size of Ghirardelli's, but they were a rectangle instead of a square.  I love to create my own boxes for things, so I was kinda happy that I needed to figure out one for this delicious candy!  I gave these to my ladies as their thank you gift for attending my Stamp A Stack class last weekend.

One of my customers, Stacy, loves Valentine's Day.  When I saw this stamp set, Forever Lovely, I immediately thought of her and how she would love this set.  There are coordinating edgelits, Lovely Flowers, that you can get as a bundle and save 10%.  For this card I only used the stamp set.

In the Sale-A-Bration brochure there is foil paper in the colors of Grapefruit Grove and Lovely Lipstick.  This paper is so pretty!  It is really hard to get the total effect of foil paper in pictures.  It is so much better in person!  I wish I could pull all of you through the computer so you could see it.

Tranquil Tulips with Brick Wall Embossing Folder

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Tranquil Tulips #143767, Brick Wall Embossing Folder #138288, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits #141489, Powder Pink Finely Woven Ribbon #144134, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I think I have already told you how much I am going to miss this stamp set when it retires at the end of the month, but I am also going to miss the Brick Wall Embossing Folder.  This is one folder that I won't be getting rid of, it will go in my keep pile.

I love cards that have dimension to them and this card is one of them.  The Tranquil Tulip stamp set is a two step stamp set, which means you create the images in two steps.  The first step is to stamp the solid image, the bottom layer, in a lighter color or stamp off your ink first.  When I say stamp off your ink I mean to first stamp your image on a scrap piece of paper and then stamp it onto your project.  This will give you a lighter hue of the color you are using.  Then you stamp your second step right on top of the first image in the same color or a darker color.  On this card I used the same color, Lovely Lipstick.  Lovely Lipstick is one of the 2018-2020 In Colors which will be available June 1st.

Since I wanted to pop the top layer I did not stamp mine on top of each other, I stamped them next to each other on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I then fussy cut, cut them out with scissors, and attached the two layers together with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Tranquil Tulips #143767, Brick Wall Embossing Folder #138288, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits #141489, Powder Pink Finely Woven Ribbon #144134, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

For the Love sentiment I cut 2 of them using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  I cut one out of  Powder Pink and one out of  Lovely Lipstick cardstock.  I then adhered them together using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue and offset them just a little.  The finished circle is also popped up using Stampin Dimensionals.

To make this project you will need the following products:

Stamp 'N Hop Blog Hop - Occasions

Stampin' Up! Heart Happiness stamp set #145769, Banners For You stamp set #141710, Petal Passion Designer Series Paper #145589, Sweet and Sassy Framelits #141707, Classic Label Punch #141491, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Welcome to the Stamp 'N Hop blog hop!!!  I am Joyce Whitman, from Ohio,  and this is my first blog hop!  I am so excited to be joining other very talented stampers. We will be doing the blog hops on the second Saturday of each month.  This month we are highlighting projects made from the occasions catalog (which will be available until May 31, 2018).   Don't forget to check out the other projects we have to share with you.    All the links to the other bloggers are at the bottom of this post.

As I was working on designing this card, I saw a card that we made at the conference last weekend.  I loved the layout and decided to use it for this card.  You can use this layout for so many different cards and even scrapbook pages.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Whisper White Thick Cardstock #140272

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Basic Black Cardstock #121045

  • cut at 2 1/4" x 5 1/2"
  • cut at 2 1/4" x 3 3/4"

Melon Mambo Cardstock #115320

  • cut at 2" x 4"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 2" x 2"
  • cut at 2" x 3 1/2"
  • scrap for the sentiment

Petal Passion Designer Series Paper #145589

  • cut at 2" x 5 1/2"

This is an easy card that takes no time at all to put together.  You will stamp the heart from the Heart Happiness stamp set and cut it out with a coordinating framelit from the Sweet and Sassy framelits.  I also cut out 2 hearts, the same size, in Melon Mambo.  For the background on the white paper, I used another stamp from the same set that has 6 little hearts on it.  I turned the stamp a little to the left so the hearts were at an angle.  The stamped heart is popped up using a Stampin Dimensional.

For the sentiment I used the Banners For You stamp set.  I made one of the as a Valentine's card and the other one as a thank you card.  You can use hearts for any occasion, it doesn't have to be just for Valentine's Day.  Of course, I had to add a little bit of bling with the Rhinestones.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper #145564, Bloomin Heart Thinlits #140621, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits #141489, Sweet and Sassy Framelits, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3 D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Have you seen the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper in the Occasions catalog?  Oh my goodness!  I have already gone through 3 packs and have 2 more on hand.  I love it!!!  Did I say I love it!  LOL  You will too when you see it in person.  It is so pretty, the catalog does not do it any justice.

On Saturday I had my quarterly Scrap Along class and this was one of the page layouts we made.  Our themes this quarter were Christmas, Winter and Valentine's Day.

To make this layout you will need the following products:

Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper #145564

  • you will need 2  12 x 12 pages
  • cut 4" x 4 1/4" for the heart

Calyspo Coral Cardstock #122925

  • cut at 4" x 6 "
  • cut at 4 1/8" 6 1/8"
  • cut at 4 1/4" x 6 1/4"
  • scraps for the flowers

Powder Pink Cardstock # 144244

  • cut at 4" x 4" for the heart
  • cut 2 at 4 1/8" x 6 1/8"
  • cut at 4 1/4" x 6 1/4"

Rich Razzleberry Cardstock #115316

  • cut at 4" x 4 1/4" for the heart
  • cut at 4 1/8" x 6 1/8"
  • cut 2 at 4 1/4" x 6 1/4"
  • scraps for the flowers

Silver Foil Sheets #132178

  • cut 4 at 2 1/2" x 3"
  • cut at 1 1/4" x 2 1/2"

I used the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets for the silver hearts, love, and the pink flower heart.  I have been using them a lot lately, especially for the delicate pieces.  It makes it so much easier to attach them to your projects.

I added rhinestones, the smallest ones, to the flowers on the pink heart.

On Friday night I had my first Customer Appreciation event.  It was so much fun!!!  I wanted to show my customers how much I appreciate all of their support and encouragement in my Stampin' Up! business.  I had a lot planned for them, which I think they really enjoyed.  They made two make and takes, I will have them on my blog this week, played two games, had lots of door prizes and delicious food.

It has been very cold here in Ohio, so I had a hot chocolate bar.  That was a huge hit.  I had never made homemade hot chocolate in the crock pot before and it was so easy.  Here is the recipe if you would like to try it.

Crock Pot Hot Chocolate:

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 can of Eagle brand condensed milk
  • 6 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups of chocolate chips

Put the first 4 ingredients and mix with a whisk.  Add your chocolate chips and cook on low for about 2 - 2 1/2 hours stirring occasionally.

Now, this recipe is NOT lo cal, but it is delicious!

Here are some pictures from the evening of fun!

The top left picture is what they saw as they came down the stairs to my Stampin Studio.  I had samples of my classes for this month and an area that they could play with the stamparatus.

The top two pictures are of the boxes I made, or I should say my friend Robin made, for everyone to put their cards in from their make and takes.  On the top  right hand corner are the door prizes and the bottom two are the food and hot chocolate bar.

I had a full house!  These are pictures of them making the cards, playing the scavenger hunt game and eating.  What a great night!  I sure hope all of them felt loved and spoiled.  They warmed my heart with their kind comments and text messages the next day.  I love my customers.  No, they are my dear friends.

Thank you for stopping in today.  I know this post is long, I had so much to share with you today!  I hope you have a fabulous week!

Quilted Bloomin' Heart Card

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Bloomin Heart Thinlits #140621, Silver Foil Sheets #135314, Rhinestones #119246, designed by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects, go to stampinscrapper.com

At my workshops (parties) we make 2 cards and I demonstrate a technique.  Sometimes the hostess decide on a theme for their workshop and Stacy's was Valentine's Day.  That got me thinking of what technique I could do that would relate to that theme.  I saw the quilting technique on another demonstrators blog and I knew it would be perfect.

At first when you look at this card you will think that it is difficult to make, but it really isn't.  On the top Real Red piece of paper, you are going to score it from one corner to the opposite corner (I did the top right corner to the bottom left corner first).  You can make your diamond shapes any size you would like, mine are 3/4".

Once you determine the size you want you will move your paper over that far and score it.  Keep doing this until you have all the lines across you paper.  Then turn your paper 90 degrees and do the same thing to get the diamond shape that you want.

Fold the paper on all of the score lines but DO NOT use your bone folder.  With all the sponging you are going to be doing you will be folding your paper a lot.  If you use your bone folder to crease the lines, your paper may end up ripping.

Using a sponge dauber and Real Red ink, sponge the edges of all the lines on both sides.  Fold your paper on one of the score lines and sponge the edge, then flip over your paper and do the other side. This will give the shading that makes it look quilted.

I added the littlest rhinestones on all of the points.

To make this project you are going to need the following products:

Real Red Cardstock #102482

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
  • cut at 3 3/4" x 5"
  • scraps for the little flowers

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Silver Foil Sheets #132178

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 4" x 4"

I did not pop anything on this card because of all the layers and the rhinestones.

Isn't this card just stunning?  I am so happy with the way it turned out.

We have the basement almost finished!  I just have to have Mr. Wonderful hang my new curtains, then I will take pictures of the finished project.  This is how it looked during all the plumbing work.

PicMonkey Collage

The two top pictures are from when the plumbers were working.  If you notice we now have 3 holes in the ceiling, but the put caps on them and they look great.  That way if we ever need to get to the pipes again, it will be easier.  The bottom two pictures are us working on putting things back and rearranging the furniture.  I love how it has turned out so far.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a fabulous Friday and weekend.
