Timeless Tropical With Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, Timeless Tropical stamp set, Bird Ballad designer series paper, created by Stampin Scrappper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects, go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

A group of my friends and fellow demonstrators have a Facebook group together.  Recently we started doing Mystery Stamping.  One person each month designs a card and then we are all given clues on how to make it.  I was able to participate last month in  it and this is the card I made.  I had so much fun!

A day or two before the mystery stamping day, we are given a list of supplies.  For this card these were the supplies we had to get together and ready.

  • Pick a small print Designer Series Paper (DSP) or three coordinating DSP. Cut 3 strips of Designer Series Paper measuring 1-1/4" x 3".
  • Choose 2 coordinating cardstock (CS) colors.
Color #1 cut 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" card base scored at 4-1/4" and cut another 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" from the same color.
    Color #2 cut 4" x 5 1/4" from the second color CS.
  • Choose a coordinating ribbon.
  • Choose a small sentiment stamp.
  • Choose a circle or other shape the sentiment will fit on
  • Choose a slightly larger shape for layering.
  • Choose an ink color.
  • Adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Choose pearls, rhinestones or other bling if desired.

We then given clues throughout the day and how to put it together.  It was so neat to see how everyone interrupted the directions and how different our cards were.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, Timeless Tropical stamp set, Bird Ballad designer series paper, created by Stampin Scrappper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects, go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce WhitmanThe Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon is so pretty.   I am really sad that it will be retiring.  Remember, retired products, including stamp sets, are now while supplies last.

I added the three pearls, which I colored with the Pool Party Blends, to finish off the card.   I love that about our Stampin Blends.  You can color our Rhinestones, Pearls and Ribbons with any of the Stampin' Blends and get just the right color that you need for your project.

Timeless Tulips With Best Dressed Designer Series Paper

Stampin' Up!, Stampin Up, Timeless Tulips, Best Dressed designer series paper, created by Stampin Scrapper. For more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking or 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Over the holidays I went through my craft room and cleaned out every drawer, bin, pile and/or basket in my craft room.  I changed some of the decor and tried to update other things.  I took down some cards that I had hanging up and put up new ones.  One of the cards I found was the same layout as the card above.  It looks so different with the new colors and designer series paper.

I love the bright colors in the Best Dressed designer series paper.  This paper so pretty and was perfect to pair it with the Timeless Tulips stamp set.  Do you remember the lily stamp set from last year?  This set reminds me a lot of that stamp set.  Both of them are the disINKtive style of stamps, which gives you so much dimensions in the color.  There is a punch that coordinates with the Timeless Tulips stamp set.  You can both the stamp set and punch as a bundle and save 10%.  I am all about saving money.  How about you?

Incredible Like You with Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper Card

Do you have a lot of scraps laying around your craft room?  I have a great card for you to use some of those small pieces of paper.  It has been pretty gray here in Ohio and I wanted some bright colors to use on my card today.  In the Happiness Blooms designer series paper, there are a lot of cheerful and bright patterns and colors.  I love them!  I saw this card online, created by Bonnie O'Neill, and knew I wanted to make it.  Thank you Bonnie for sharing your wonderful card with everyone!

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Incredible Like You stamp set #148708, Happiness Blooms designer series paper #148795, Starburst Punch #143717, 2" Circle Punch #133782, Calypso Coral 3/8" Satin Ribbon #148804, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Two of my favorite colors together are Calypso Coral and Night of Navy.  I could use them on every project, but I think you would get sick of only seeing those colors.  LOL  I even have those colors in my kitchen!

I used the Incredible Like You stamp set in the occasions catalog for the sentiment and little flowers.  Did you know this stamp set also has a project kit that coordinates?  You can make 16 cards and it comes with a printed polypropylene storage envelope.  Check it out HERE.  This kit is currently on backorder, you can order it, you just won't get it right now.  It is suppose to be in the warehouse on April 1st.

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4" for the inside of the card

  • cut 5 at 1" x 3 3/4"

I glued the 1" strips of designer series paper to the 3 3/4" x 5" whisper white cardstock.   Then I adhered them to the Calypso Coral layer and wrapped the Calypso Coral 3/8" Satin Ribbon around it.  I then put Stampin Dimensionals between the Calypso Coral and Night of Navy Layer.

I stamped the sentiment with Night of Navy ink and stamped the flowers with Calypso Coral and Call Me Clover ink.  The sentiment is popped with Stampin Dimensionals and to finish the card off I added a bow.  For the inside of the card and on the envelope I stamped the stem for the little flowers and three small flowers to the stem (I forgot to take a picture of it).

Open House Make and Takes

Happy Hump Day!  Where has this week gone?  Somewhere in this week I have lost a day already and it is only Wednesday.  My mom always told me the older you get the faster time goes.  Boy, was she right!  I hate to see how fast time goes in 20 years.

For my make and takes at my open house, I wanted super simple cards but they needed to highlight some of our new products.  These are the two cards that I created.

The card on the left in the picture above is featuring the Delightful Daisy stamp set and punch.  This is the punch that has been so popular that we haven't been able to order it, because they ran out.  I knew this set would be a hit, but I didn't think it would be this big of one and neither did Stampin' Up!  They had 10,000 of them in stock when preorder started for the demonstrators.  Well, we loved it so much that we ordered 7,200 of them in just the first two weeks!!! That is amazing.  Although, this is a good problem to have - people want your product so much you sell out.  This doesn't surprise me at all with this catalog.  I think it is the best one yet. Hopefully, it will be in stock next week!

The card on the right is highlighting the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and I paired it with the Pretty Label Punch (this also has a coordinating stamp set), the Stitched Shaped Framelits and the 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon in the Berry Burst color.

On both of the cards I wanted to also use some of our beautiful, and I mean beautiful designer series paper.  Wow, is all I can say about the papers in this catalog.  I didn't know which one to create with first! On the daisy card I used the paper, Delightful Daisy DSP, that coordinates with the Daisy Delight stamp set and Daisy Punch.  Don't you love how everything goes together!

The Happy Birthday card has the new Fresh Florals DSP Stack.  Does this paper look familiar?  This same design of paper was in our last annual catalog and was such a big hit that Stampin' Up! brought it back in our 2017-2019 In Colors.

Here are the cards individually so you can see them better.  I have the directions under each of the cards.

What To Do With Scraps card #5

Stampin up, Stampin' Up! Rose Wonder #140697, Timeless Textures #140517, Moroccan DSP #141465, bitty Butterfly Punch #129406, Boho Chic Embossing Folder #138286, Rhinestones #119246, designed by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com

As I was typing up my blog post for yesterday I realized that I never did a post for the last card from my What To Do With Scraps class.  If you could see my desk right now you would know why.  I am trying to get a lot done before I have to tear apart my craft room this weekend, so there is stuff every where.  I am sure I am going to lose something in this whole process.

If you look real close to the picture above, you might be able to see that I have embossed the front of this card with the Boho Chic embossing folder.  It gives it such a great texture and takes this card to the next level.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Dapper Denim Cardstock #141414

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Emerald Envy Cardstock #14145

  • cut at 2" x 4"
  • cut at 2 1/2" x 4"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Very Vanilla Cardstock #101650

  • cut at 1 3/4" x 4"
  • cut at 2 1/4" x 4"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4" for inside the card

Moroccan Designer Series Paper #141645

  • cut 3 at 1 1/4" x 5 1/8"
  • scrap for the butterfly

The first thing I did was adhere the Moroccan Designer Series Paper onto the Emerald Envy.  I then put the paper through the big shot with the Boho Chic embossing folder.  You then adhere it to your Dapper Denim card base.  You can finish assembling your card and then punch out the butterfly using the Bitty Butterfly punch.  I added Rhinestones (I used the ones that are in a strip and cut off 3 of them) to put a little bit of bling on the card.

Have a fabulous Friday and a weekend!

What To Do With Scraps Card #4

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Cottage Greetings #139962, Succulent Garden DSP #142778, Petal Burst Embossing Folder #141493, Flourish Thinlits #141478, designed by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com

You may have seen this on my Facebook page already, but not on here.  I am not sure what happened last night, but I thought I saved this and scheduled it to be posted this morning.  I must not have hit the save button.

I saw the layout for this card on Pinterest and wanted to try it.  I love looking at a layout and then at my supplies and seeing what I can come up with.  This was a fun card to make with the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper.  Flourish Thinlits and Cottage Greeting stamp set.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Tip Top Taupe Cardstock #138336

  • cut 4 1/4" x 11" score at 5 1/2"

Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock #141418

  • cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
  • cut at 2 5/8" x 3 7/8"
  • cut at 2 1/8" x 4 1/8"

Mint Macaron Cardstock #138337

  • cut at 2" x 2"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 2" x 4"
  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"

Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper #142778

  • cut at 2 1/2" x 3 3/4"
  • cut at 2 1/2" x 2 3/4"

One of the pieces of Whisper White paper was embossed with the Petal Burst embossing folder and added to the front of the card.  I put the other piece of white paper on the inside of the card.

To add a little bit of bling I used the largest of the Rhinestones and added one to the center of the flower.  I only put glue on the center of the green flowering lifted up the outer edges so that it gave it some dimension.  I added 3 of the middle sized Rhinestones to the upper right hand corner.

I used the Mint Macaron ink to stamp the sentiment from the Cottage Greetings stamp set.

I hope everyone is having a blessed Sunday and enjoying the sunshine.

I have a tip for you as you adhere your designer series paper.  Lightly lay your small pieces on the Pink Pirouette square and make sure they are where you want them.  Then press them into place.  This is a lot easier than having to try and remove and reposition them.

On the inside of the card, sorry I forgot to take a picture, I used the long stamp from the stamp set Floral Phrases and stamped it on the bottom of the white piece of cardstock.  I also used it on the envelope, but I did it on the side as it was not long enough to go all the way across the bottom.

Last night I had my stamp camp, I love spending time with my friends.  I am so blessed to have customers who have become my good friends.

Have a fabulous day!

Do you have thin strips of paper left and don't know what to do with them?  They are too pretty to throw away and if your like me, you don't want to waste paper.  Do you need a fast thank you or birthday card?  I have the perfect card for you!  When I saw this card on Pinterest I knew it would be great to use all those thin strips of paper I had.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Sahara Sand Card Stock #121043

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Rich Razzleberry Card Stock #115316

  • 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Blooms and Bliss Card stock #141654

  • cut 3 of 1/2" x 5 1/2"

I stamped the background with a stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Sahara Sand ink.  I also used the ink to sponge around the edges and around the white circle.  This gives the card a softer look.

I made this card a thank you card, but you can use any of the sentiments from the Tin of Cards stamp set.

To put my strips on starting with the right one at one inch from the right side of the card.  Then I adhered the other two strips right next to the first one.  Linen thread was used to wrap around the card twice (I used 23 inches).  I then made a double bow and adhered with a glue dot (I used 10 inches).

The Layering Circle Framelits and the Stitched Shapes Framelits were used to cut out the circle.  I popped up the circles using the Stampin Dimensionals.

Wasn't that an easy card to make? and a perfect way to use your scraps?

This is a short post today as I am busy working on projects for Stamp Camp tomorrow night and I have a workshop on Saturday.  Today my box of goodies come for the display I am doing at OnStage.  I can't wait!!  I wonder what is going to be in there?

Have a fabulous Wednesday!
