I was so excited when I saw the Inside the lines Designer Series Paper in the Sale-A-Bration mini catalog.  I love to color and this paper is so pretty.  Then in the Occasions catalog there is the new watercolor pencils.  (The watercolor pencils have been such a great seller that they are on backorder.  When they become available I will let you know).  It doesn't get much better than that.

Tonight I have my What To Do With your Scraps class.  I am excited to share the cards I have with my customers.  I will be sharing them with all of you next week.

I have some exciting news to share with all of you!  I am going to a Stampin' Up! event called OnStage in April in Minneapolis, MN. In January I applied to be a display stamper at this event.  A display stamper is a person who is given products from the new catalog, which will be debuted at OnStage, and we have to create different projects with them.   I found out on Tuesday that I was selected to be one of the display stampers.  I am so excited, honored and blessed to have the opportunity.

I had to sign a confidentiality agreement, so I won't be able to show you or talk about anything I receive until after the event.  Once I am allowed I will be sharing it all with you.

Thank you for stopping by today. Have a great Friday and weekend!

Dragonfly Dreams Make and Take

stampin up, Stampin Up! Dragonfly Dreams #142924, Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies #142749, Falling In Love Designer Series Paper #142788, Sparkle Embossing Folder #141468, 3/8" Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack #143601, designed by Stampin Scrapper, for more ideas, cards, gifts, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com

Can you see the beautiful designer series paper, Falling in Love, behind the dragonfly cutout?  This paper pack is so beautiful that I ended up buying 3 of them and have already used 2 of the packs. This is the other card that we made at my open house as one of my make and takes.

On this card I used a products from all three of our catalogs, Annual, Occasions and Sale-A-Bration.  From the Annual Catalog I used the Sparkle embossing folder and the card stock, the Occasions catalog the Ballin in Love designer series paper and the Metallic Ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration mini catalog.  Did you know that the Dragonfly Dreams and Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits are available as a bundle? You will save 10% if they are purchased as a bundle.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Soft Sky Card stock #131203

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

So Saffron Card Stock #105118

  • cut at 3 5/8" x 4 3/8"

Very Vanilla Card Stock #101650

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4" for the inside of the card
  • cut at 3 1/2" x 4 1/4"

Falling in Love Designer Series Paper #142788

  • cut at 3 3/8" x 4 1/8"

I have a couple of tips for you if you make this card.

  • you can emboss the front flap of your card or you can cut a piece of paper (size above) and emboss that.
  • cut out your dragonfly and DO NOT throw away the piece you cut it out of.  You will need it.
  • adhere the designer series paper to the So Saffron paper first.
  • adhere the Very Vanilla paper after you cut out the dragonflies
  • to adhere your dragonflies back into the cutout see below for the details

To adhere the dragonflies:

You will need the silicon craft pad to do this technique.  On the silicone craft sheet put some Multipurpose Glue in a circle.  Take a piece of sponge and dip it into the glue.  Then use the sponge to put glue on the back of the dragonflies.  It is an easy way to get glue on pieces that are detailed.  You know what else this is great for, Vellum. You won't see any of the glue through it.

Avant Garden Make and Take

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Avant Garden #143272, Cool Treats #142982, designed by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com

Can you believe tomorrow is the last day of January already?  Where is the time going?  It seems like I turn around and another month is gone.  Time needs to slow down.

I am using my favorite stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration mini catalog again!  Isn't it so cute?  This is one of the make and takes from my open house.  This is an easy card that is great to make multiples of.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Pear Pizzazz Card Stock #131201

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1.2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 2" x 3 "

Sweet Sugarplum Card Stock #141418

  • cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 2" x 3"

The first thing I stamped was the Smoky Slate dots in each of the corners, then the flowers in Sweet Sugarplum.  I used the leaves in the Pear Pizzazz ink and the center of the flowers in Rich Razzleberry.

On the inside of the card and on the envelope I stamped the flowers too.  Below is a picture of the inside of the card.

On Friday night Mark and I started watching the TV series This Is Us. We had heard so much about it and thought we would check it out. Can I say we have been binge watching it all weekend.  I am in love with the show and now know what everyone has been talking about. Have you seen it?  If not, I highly recommend it.

Have a great week!

Watercolor Dragonfly Dreams

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams #142924, Avant Garden #143272, Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies #1142749, Stitched Shapes Framelits #145372, Layering Oval Framelits #141706, Wink of Stella #141897, Aqua Painters #103954, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more ideas, cards, gifts, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com

Last Saturday I had my watercolor class and oh my goodness we had so much fun!!  The above card is the first card that we made.  I wanted to teach them how to do the background as this is the easiest thing to learn.  We used Blushing Bride, Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder inks to make the background.

We then used the Dragonfly Detail Framelits, Layering Oval Framelits and the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  The stamp set, Avant Garden, was used to make the flowers and sentiment.

I wanted to add a little bit of sparkle on the dragonfly with the clear Wink of Stella.  In the picture below you can see how it just add the right touch.

Fullsizeoutput_bc0

You can earn the stamp set FREE during Sale-A-Bration. For every $50 you spend, before shipping and taxes, you can pick a FREE item from the mini-catalog.

To make this card you are going to need the following products:

Wisteria Wonder Card Stock #122922

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 2 3/4" x 3 1/2"

Pool Party Card Stock #131203

  • cut at 2 3/4" x 3 1/2"
  • cut at 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"

Whisper White Card Stock  #100730

  • cut at 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Watercolor Paper #122959

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

On the dragonfly I only adhered the middle of it so the wings would be loose with the Multi Purpose Glue.  I then popped it up with the Stampin' Dimensionals.

For the flowers and sentiments I found that it was easier if you first cut out the oval and then stamped it.  The Avant Garden stamp set is photopolymer so it is easy to line everything up.

Thank you for stopping by today and have a terrific Tuesday!

Open House was a huge success

IMG_7853

Yesterday I had my open house for the Sale-A-Bration and Occasions catalog.  It was so much fun and a huge success!!!  I had my friend Theresa sign up to be a demonstrator with me as her upline!  I am so excited to have her on my team, the Joyful Butterflies.

I didn't get any pictures when everyone was here, because I totally forgot and really didn't have the time.  I was so blessed to have a lot of people attend and drool over the new products.   It was wonderful to see all my wonderful friends who are also my customers.  I have the best people in my life.  They have been so supportive of me and my journey with Stampin' Up!

Here are more pictures of my craft studio and displays.  In this picture I am standing at the bottom of the stairs looking to my left.
