Flowering Fields Triple Fold Card

IMG_1389

This is another card that I have been wanting to do for a long time.  I received a card like this from a swap I did last year.  I thought it was going to take me forever to figure out how to do it, but I was wrong.  The only thing that took time is figuring out the angles of the paper.  Once I did that it was pretty simple.

This is what it looks like open

To make this card you are going to need the following cardstock cut at these measurements:

Whisper White  Thick Cardstock #140272

  • 6" x 10" score at 4", 6" and 8"  - you will need 2 of these
  • 3 1/2" x 4"
  • 2 1/2" x 4" - this is for the label on the band
  • 1 1/2" x 10" -  this is for the band

To make it easier on myself I numbered the panels from left to right #1, #2, and #3 (#3 will be the largest of the panels),

Panel #1  -  1 3/4" x 2 3/4" you will need 4 of these. 2 in Blackberry Bliss and 2 in Wildflower Fields DSP

Panel #2 - 1 3/4" xx 4 1/8" you will need 2 of these in the Wildflower Fields DSP

Panel #3 - 1 3/4" x 5 1/2" you will need 4 of these. 2 in Blackberry Bliss and 2 in Wildflower Fields DSP

Blackberry Bliss Cardstock #133675

  • 3 3/4" x 4 1/4"
  • 2 1/2" x 4" - this is to cut out the label on the band

Wildflower  Fields DSP (Sale-A-Bration)

  • 3/4" x 4 1/4"
  • 1 1/2" x 4 1/4"

I stamped the Blackberry Bliss paper with Petite Petals stamp set #133155 with Blackberry Bliss ink.  I used markers lost lagoon, calypso coral and old olive to color in the flowers.

Here is a picture trying to show you what the blackberry bliss paper looked like stamped.

I hope you can see it.  The card needed a little something when I was making it and now it looks so pretty.

I had a lot of fun designing this card and hope you enjoy it.  If you have any questions, please let me know.

Happy Stampin!

Thinking of You Sympathy Card

IMG_1370

I am in love with the colors Night of Navy and Calypso Coral together.  I love it so much that I used them to make a card for my Creative Fold Class I had last week.  I will share that card with you soon!  There is just something that catches my eye when they are together.  I am even drawn to them in stores.  I wonder why I don't have those colors in my home?  Hmmm I may just have to change that.  LOL

I used the stamp set Grateful Bunch #140691 and it has a matching punch Blossom Bunch Punch #140612.  You can also buy this set as a bundle and save 15%.  I love it when I can save money.  I also used the stamp set Thoughts and Prayers #127805.

This is my go to stamp set for Sympathy and Get Well Cards.  You can make this card for any occasion which I like.  A lot of times I will make up cards and wait to put the saying on it until I need it.  That what I can customize them for any occasion.

The products and measurements for this card are:

Calypso Coral Cardstock #122925 for the base

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • a scrap to cut out the salutation

Whisper White #100730

  • 2 pieces at 4" x 5 1/4" one for inside the card and one for the front
  • scrap piece for the salutation and to stamp the calypso coral flowers

Night of Navy 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon #134571

IMG_1371

The inside of the card I added a little butterfly on the bottom to dress it up a little bit.  I like to put butterflies on sympathy cards as they are a symbol for new life.  Just a little something for the person you are sending the card to that the person they lost has a new life with Jesus.

I hope everyone has a fabulous day!  Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Stampin!

Simple Rose Wonder Card

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Rose Wonder stamp set #140697, Rose Garden Thinlits #140619, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more ideas, cards, gifts, 3 D projects and scrapbooking go to stampinscrapper.com

Sometimes you need a fast card for someone special and this is the card just for that occasion!  One thing I like about this card is that it is easy to mass produce.  I was able to make 10 of these in no time at all.  I now have a supply of cards ready to go.

I used the Rose Wonder Stamp Set #140697 with the matching Rose Garden thinlits.  You can also get them both as a bundle #140804 for a 15% discount.  This stamp set is wonderful because of all the sentiments you get in it.  It comes with a sentiment for wedding, sympathy, birthday and thank you.  It also has stamps with sentiments for the inside of your card.  I love that because sometimes I have a hard time with finding the right words to say.

To make this card I used the following measurements:

So Saffron Cardstock #105118

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Whisper White #100730

  • 3 pieces cut at 4" x 5 1/4" - one for the outside and one for the inside of the card and one to cut out the rose with the thinlet.
  • you will also need a scrap to do the salutation

Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack #138437

  • cut at 3 3/4" x 5"

I used the fine tip glue pen #138309 to adhere the rose to the cardstock.  I also used dimensionals to pop up the Happy Birthday and added rhinestones for a little bit of bling.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a fantastic day!

Happy Stampin!

A Nice Cuppa - Teapot

IMG_1372

You can tell I love this stamp set by how many cards I have made with it.  To me there is so many different ways you can use this set.  I also love when the stamp set comes in a bundle and the extra bonus is you get 15% discount!

This one of the cards from my March Stamp Camp.  I haven't used this color combination in a long time.  I used Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo together.  I really like this combination.

To make this card I used the following measurements:

Basic Gray Cardstock #121044

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Bermuda Bay Cardstock #131197

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 1 3/4" x 3" this is for the cup

Melon Mambo Cardstock #115320

  • cut at 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

I used Have A Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack for the tea pot and decoration on the cup.  You will need scraps of Whisper White #100730 to make the rest of the decorations except the spoon which I used the silver foil paper.  To make it easy I just cut out the handle of the spoon as that is all you are going to see.

I used dimensionals on the tea pot and the "you are tea-riffic" circle in the upper right hand corner.  The Large Polka Dot embossing folder add just the right amount of texture to the card.

To finish the card off I used Wink of Stella Glitter Pen to add a little of glitter to the heart (steam from cup), decoration on cup and the white scallops on the kettle.  It is hard to tell in the picture that I put a little bit of glitter on the card.

IMG_1373

For the inside of the card and on the envelope I used the stamp set Perfect Pairing from Sale-A-Bration. The heart is from A Nice Cuppa stamp set and I used that also on the envelope.  Shelli ( the CEO of Stampin' Up!) always says do not send out a naked envelope, make sure you dress it up.  I never use to do that until I heard her say those words.  Now I try my hardest to make sure they are all decorated.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Happy Stampin!

Friends and Flowers Easter Card

IMG_1376

Can you believe we spring forward for Daylight Savings Time today!!!  I love the fact that it means spring is almost here, but I don't like that we lose an hour of sleep.  I am a person who doesn't require a lot of sleep, so it doesn't really affect me, but it will affect my daycare kids.   My daycare kids will be off schedule for about a week, until they get use to the time change.  One thing that makes is even worse, is that it will be daylight longer in the evening.  What kid wants to go to sleep when it is still light out?  I know I didn't and still don't!

How cute is this bunny?!  I made him from the Friends and Flowers stamp set #140508(W) #140511(C) and the coordinating punch, Festive Flower Builder Punch #139682.  We made this card at Stamp Camp on Tuesday and last night.  He is just so stinkin' cute!!!

I used the following card stock and measurements to make this card:

Crumb Cake Cardstock #120953

  • 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"" score at 4 1/4"
  • 4" x 5 1/4"
  • 3/4" x 4"

Cucumber Crush Cardstock #138335

  • 7/8" x 4"
  • 1 1/4" x 4"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • 4" x 5 1/4" - for the inside the card
  • scrap pieces to stamp the bunny pieces and flowers on

I have a couple of tips for you when you make this card.

  • I stamped with the hardwood stamp using crumb cake ink on the crumb cake paper first and then the small piece of crumb cake paper.   Make sure you change the direction of the wood grain on your little piece of paper.  You want it to go horizontal.  Once you have them both stamped then adhere the little piece to the big piece of stamp paper.
  • Using your 2" circle punch #133782 line up the left hand side of the punch even with the bottom of the little piece you just attached.  Push the paper in all the way and punch.  It will not be in the center of your paper, but that is ok.
  • When you adhere make sure you are only putting adhesive around the edges and not around the circle you just punched.  You will need to put the bunny inside the 2" hole a little.
  • Color the inside of the bunny's ear before you attach them to the face.  I used pink pirouette #120969
  • When you cut the grass with the fringe scissors #133325 make sure you don't cut too far.  You need to leave a little section, so you can glue them down on the card.  I used the multipurpose liquid glue #110755.

IMG_1377

One the inside of the card I used the Easter Lamb stamp, but I only used the words Happy Easter.  You can use a post it note to cover the lamb, ink your stamp, take off the post it note (this is important) and stamp it on the white paper.  I don't know how many times I left it on and had a big blob of color where I didn't want it.   I added 3 flowers at the left hand corner for a little decoration.

If you are like me, you decorate your envelopes too.  I used the little flowers to put on the outside of the envelope and the Happy Easter on the back flap.

I hope everyone has a blessed Sunday!

Happy Stampin!

Welcome Baby Card

I totally forgot to add the picture on this post!  I was waiting until I put it in the mail and forgot to add it.  I think this would count as a big oops!!  Here is the card and I hope you enjoy it!

IMG_1361

One of my friends, Angie, had a baby boy this week and I made her this card to help celebrate this special event. We are all so happy for their family.  She will be very busy now that she has 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl.  I know Angie will do great, she is a wonderful mom!

To make this card I used the following products:

Crumb Cake Card Stock cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4" and enough to stamp the lamb and punch it out

Whisper White Card Stock cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper cut at 2 x 5 1/4"

Early Espresso cut at  1' x 5 1/4" and enough to punch out the scalloped circle, oval and heart

Mint Macaron just scraps to cut out 3 hearts

To make this card you first need to use the hexagon embossing folder on the whisper white piece.  Then stamp the little lamb from the Easter Lamb #140740 using basic black archival ink on the crumb cake paper.  Punch it out using the 2 inch circle punch.  I colored the lamb using the mint macaron, pink pirouette, basic black and the white chalk markers.

I then punched out early espresso paper out with the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch.  I attached the lamb to the early espresso scallop circle and put dimensionals on the back.  I put the early espresso stripe on the back of the designer series paper so you can see about 1/8" of the early espresso about the dsp.  This is then attached to the whisper white paper.  I used snail adhesive for my adhesive to put all of this on the crumb cake base.

I stamped the Welcome Baby with the And Many More stamp set #134276 on whisper white with mint macaron ink and punched out with the large oval circle.  I also punched out the scalloped oval in the early espresso and put dimensionals on the back of it to give it some height.  I used the heart from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and used mint macaron and early espresso paper.

I sponged around the Welcome Baby with the Mint Macaron ink to soften the look a little.  I also put three hearts, the same colors as the front of the card, on the inside of the card.

Hope you have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Happy Stampin!

Bloomin' Love Congratulations Card

IMG_1346

On Sunday I was working on my cards for my class and knew I wanted a card that said Congratulations and it needed to be a wedding card.  So, I got on Pinterest to get some ideas and I saw how people were using the Bloomin' Love framelit, which was very different from how I had used it.   I fell in love with this technique.  To me it look so elegant and you could do it with any color.  This would be a great way to color coordinate with the wedding colors.

To make the card I cut the heart out with the Bloomin' Love framelit (this comes as a bundle too) towards the top on the whisper white paper.  I then used the big shot die brush (this is one of my favorite tools right now) to get all the little pieces out of the heart.  I used the fine-tip glue pen #138309 to adhere the heart to the cardstock.  It is perfect for getting all the little areas so that it lays flat.

Then I stamped the congratulations from the stamp set Sassy Salutations with Versa Mark ink and embossed it using the silver embossing powder and heat tool.   I cut the flowers out with the flower framelits that come in the set with the heart (Bloomin' Love) in elegant eggplant.  The bow is made from the wisteria wonder 1/2" seam binding ribbon.

IMG_1347

The inside of the card I used wisteria wonder ink.  I added pearls to the flowers to finish off the card.  They added just a little bit of softness to the card.

Baby Lamb Card

IMG_1248

I made this card for my Open House in January and knew I wanted to use it for my Baby/Wedding/Anniversary class.  This lamb from the Easter Lamb #140740 in the Occasions Catalog.  You can make the color of cardstock you use for the base and the piece where I stamped "congrats" (cottage greetings #139962) to make it a girl or boy card.

I used blushing bride cardstock for the base cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4".  You will need the following paper to make this card.

Mint Macaron 4 x 5 1/4"

Birthday Bouquet DSP 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" and 1 1/4" x 2 7/8"

Basic Gray 3 x 4 1/4" and 7/8" x 3

Crumb Cake 2 7/8 x 3

Blushing Bride 1" x 3 3/4"

I colored the lamb with pink pirouette, mint macaron, black and white stampin chalk markers.

Number of Years Anniversary Card

Do you ever have those weekends when you have a list of what you want to get done and it just doesn't happen?  That was my weekend.  I had such grand plans, but somehow that list didn't get many things crossed off.   We did have fun this weekend at our daughter's, Erica, parent weekend at college.  We went to the book store on Saturday afternoon, and of course, we had to buy spirit wear.  We all got new sweatshirts and I love mine!  We also went to a basketball game on Saturday night, which was a lot of fun!  The best part is Wright State University won the game!  It was also senior night and they revealed who the mascot, Rowdy, was.  It turned out it was a young man that Erica went to high school with!  He did such a wonderful job.

I got the idea for this card from Pinterest.  I saw one a lot like this, I just changed it up a little bit and changed the colors.  I loved the design of it, so crisp and clean.  We will be making this card in my Baby/Wedding/Anniversary Class on Wednesday night.  This is a fun card that you can use any color with.  Oh, the possibilities!

This is the inside of the card.  If you are like me, you like to decorate your envelopes.  This stamp would be really cute on your envelope.

The base of the card is made with Pacific Point cardstock cut at 5 1/5" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4".  The other measurements are:

Pacific Point:

1 - 4 x 5 1/4"

2 - 1 1/8" x 5 1/4"

2 1/2" circle

Whisper White:

1 -3 5/8" x 5 1/8"

2 - 1" X 5 1/4"

a piece of scrap paper to stamp the flower image and cut it out with one of the circle framelits.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!!

IMG_1339

Happy Valentine's Day!!  I don't get to spend the day with my Mr. Wonderful, aka my husband Mark, as I am in Texas with my daughter Emily.   We will get to make Valentine's Day last longer when we celebrate it when I get back home.

This card just puts a smile on my face every time I look at it.  It just warms my little ol' heart!  I knew I wanted to use the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack #140548 as the background and the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper #140550.  This is what I came up with those two things in mind.

To make this card I used the stamp set Bloomin' Love #140643 from the Occasions 2016 Catalog.  The base is made with Blushing Bride cardstock #131198 cut at 5 1/5" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4".

The Designer Series Paper and a piece of whisper white #100730 (for the inside of the card)  is cut at 4" x 5 1/4".
