I had so much fun creating this card for my niece's husband, who had neck surgery. I thought this giraffe was perfect for his get well card. I used the Back On Your Feet and Very Versailles stamp sets from the Stampin' Up! annual catalog.

I stamped the giraffe with Memento ink and colored using the Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede and Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends. I stamped the leaves from the Very Versailles stamp set with Old Olive ink. The sentiment was stamped with Early Espresso ink. I did use the Hand Lettered Prose dies that are retired for the Ouch!

I stamped the giraffe on the envelope and colored him to match the front of the card.

This was the first time I had used that stamp set. Not sure why I waited to create with it.

Have a great Monday and week! Sending love and hugs to everyone!

When I make cards for my family, especially the kids, I try to make them to reflect what they like. When I saw the Hey Sports Fan suite in the Stampin' Up! mini catalog I knew I was going to use it for my nephew's daughter, Raigen.

StampinScrapper,JoyceWhitman

Raigen is an awesome softball player! We are so proud of her and her hard work she puts into everything she does. This picture is of her playing her favorite position, catcher. So of course, I had to include the sheet in the Hey Sports Fan designer series paper that had the catcher designs on it.

I actually used 2 different pieces of designer series paper on this card. I used the piece mentioned above for the background and then I cut out two tickets from another sheet of designer series paper using the Sports Event dies.

I try to decorate the inside of my cards along with the envelope. You should never send out a naked envelope. LOL

StampinScrapper,JoyceWhitman

Look how cute she is! Just like her aunt Joyce. LOL Raigen made my day when she sent me a text telling me she put my card up in her bedroom. That is when I know they really liked my card, it goes in their room.

I finished off her card by adding the red and white Fan Baker's Twine and the Resin Stars.

Thank you Raigen for letting me use your pictures to show you off on my blog. You're the best! Thank you to everyone for stopping by today. I hope you have a great Monday and week.

I needed them in a hurry as I had to get them out in the mail the next day.  I knew I wanted to use designer series paper as it is a great focal point for any card. I used the In Good Taste designer series paper, from the annual catalog, which is perfect for masculine cards.

For the Happy Birthday sentiment, I wanted one that was on the bigger size. I found the perfect one in the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set. The Happiest of Birthday is one of the stamp sets that is on sale today, Wednesday, October 20th, during the 24 Hour Stamp Sale.

Last weekend I had my first online bingo night and it was so much fun! It was so wonderful being able to craft with old and new friends.  I am very thankful for Zoom.

Between playing bingo games, we made 4 cards using the Well Suited Suite from the 2021 Stampin' Up! January - June catalog.  This suite is perfect for masculine cards.  I know I always need masculine cards and I am pretty sure so does everyone else.

I also used the Balloon Bouquet punch, which has sold out,  that was on the Last Chance list.

When I was on Facebook, I saw this card on the Stampin' Up! page.  It was created by a talented member of the Stampin' Up! Artisan team.  I fell in love with it and knew I wanted to make it.   I used one of the dies in the Suit and Tie dies and the Well Suited designer series paper.

This was such a fun card to make!  I used the Tailored Tag punch and the Well Suited designer series paper.

I saw this layout a while ago and have been wanting to make it.  I thought it was such a great masculine card.  You could also make it a feminine card just by changing the designer series paper.

I also made some alternative cards to show everyone different ways you can use this wonderful suite.  Above are three of the cards that I shared with my class.  Of course, I had to make a Minnie Mouse card.  LOL

StampinUpHandsomelySuitedBingoClassStampinUpStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman16

When I saw this pattern in the designer series paper pack, I immediately thought it would be great on a baby card.  The card is a little wider than a normal size envelope.  How was I going to make it so you could send it.  Then I remembered that we had made a gift bag with a card on it at my Holiday Extravaganza.  This is perfect when you want to give a gift and card for a new little angel.

I had so much fun creating the projects and sharing them in my class. Which one is your favorite?

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a great Friday!

Saturday was so fun!  I want to thank everyone who joined me and placed orders with me.  It was a great time, even with some technical difficulties, having my catalog kickoff online.  It was definitely different than having it in person, but still a lot of fun. I learned a lot about technology, I think I might actually be getting the hang of it.  LOL

In my fourth session I spotlighted the World of Good suite from the new Stampin' Up! annual catalog.  The above card is the one I demonstrated on how to make.  You could use this card for anyone with the sentiment I used.  You could also use this as a masculine card by changing the sentiment to Happy Birthday.

Mr. Wonderful's Birthday Card - Country Club Suite

StampinUpCountryClubSuiteStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman2

When Robin and I went to a Stampin' Up! event in November, we got to see the 2020 mini catalog.  As soon as we both saw the Country Club suite we knew we had to get it.  Especially, since both of our husbands love to golf.  At the events, they have demonstrators present their creations using a new product from the new catalog.   I can't remember the name of the person who presented at our event, but she made this card.  We both fell in love with it immediately!

I adhered the diagonal piece of Soft Suede cardstock on top of the Night of Navy piece and then embossed it with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.  I cut out the Crumb Cake circle using the Layering Circle dies and then stamped it.  It is totally different than what I usually say to do.  The reason is, that it is easier to see where you need to stamp the images.

On Monday night on my Facebook live, I showed how to do the Retiform Technique.  I made one of these cards a couple years ago when I was on the Stampin' Up! Creative Crew Design Team on Splitcoaststampers.  If you haven't seen that post, check it out at SCS Creative Crew September 2017.

Would you like to try out this technique?  I have the video I made on Monday night for you to see how it is done.

To make this project, you will need the following products:

Cardstock:

Whisper White

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"

I used the following inks for this project:

  • Cajun Craze
  • Cherry Cobbler
  • Crumb Cake
  • Crushed Curry
  • Early Espresso
  • Mossy Meadow

The card on the left is the one I made during my Facebook live and the one on the right is the one I made before taping.

One thing that you want to make sure if you are going to try this technique, you need to have post it notes or post it note tape.  You want something you can take off and move that won't rip your paper.
