Updated to include video

Yes, you have read that correct.  My Holiday Extravaganza will now be all online.  I have been in contact with the golf course where I was going to have my Holiday Extravaganza and have been told that they are not allowed to serve food.  I can't have an all day event and not have food for everyone.  Also, with everything still going on, I have made the decision to do this years event online.

You are probably wondering how is this going to work.  Robin and I have been talking and trying to figure it out and we think we have come up with a plan.

The event will still be on Saturday, September 26th starting at 9:00am.  I will be doing 4 Facebook lives throughout the day.  At each of the Facebook lives, I will be making the projects from that session.  Don't worry if you can't watch all of the sessions.  I will be creating a Facebook group for this event, so you will be able to watch them whenever you would like.

Everyone will be receiving a FREE stamp set in place of the money we were going to spend on food.  You will also get all of the goodies that you got last year.  Including your bag of supplies and gifts, gifts that we had at your seat for you and all the prizes throughout the day.  There will be door prizes and ordering specials the day of the event.  I will be drawing one door prize at each of the sessions.  We are going to try our best to keep it the same as last year as much as possible and still have a lot of fun!

I will be doing a Facebook live at 10:30am on Saturday, July 18th on my Stampin Scrapper Facebook page to explain how we are going to be doing this event.  There will be a lot more details on my Facebook live than in this email.  There is a lot of information and it is easier to say everything than to type it all out.

Stampin Scrapper Holiday Extravaganza 2020

Holiday Extravaganza -2

It is time for my 2nd annual Holiday Extravaganza!  I am so excited that we are going to be able to have it.  I can’t wait to tell you the best part.  I was able to negotiate a less expensive location, so I am able to reduce the price this year!

Registration will begin on Monday, June 22nd at 7:00am.  Space is limited, so don’t wait to register.  The registration on June 22nd is for my customers and Stampin’ Up! demonstrators in my full downline only.

If you are wondering if you are one of my customers, ask yourself, have I placed an order in person or online in the past year with Joyce?  If the answer is yes, then you are a customer and can register June 22nd.  If the answer is no, hurry and get an order placed with me before June 22nd so you can register on the first day!  If you’d rather not do that, we’d still love for you to attend if there are still spots available after July 6th.

To register, you MUST email or text me starting Monday, June 22nd at 7:00am.  You can text me at 937-546-0341 or email me at [email protected]   I will then email you back letting you know that you got one of the coveted spots.  Keep in mind that I am going to be working with my daycare, so I may not be able to respond right away, but you will be notified by the end of the day if you got in.  You will then need to send me a check for $30 in the mail right away (I need to have it by July 1st) If I don’t receive your deposit by the July 1st, your spot will be forfeited and given to someone on the waiting list.

If all spots are not reserved by July 6th, we will then open registration to all others interested in attending, so feel free to share the news with your friends.

I will start a waiting list after all the spots have been reserved.  Your spot on the list will be in order of who responded first.  If I have a cancellation the first person on the list will be contacted and will have 3 days to decide if they want to attend.  If I receive no response, then the next person on the list will be notified.

Spread the word to your family and friends and email on Monday, June 22nd to get registered.  You snooze – you lose!

Holiday Extravaganza - Pictures

Stampin' Up! Holiday Extravaganza, Stampin Scrapper, Joyce Whitman

I hope you have enjoyed seeing the pictures from my Holiday Extravaganza event.  I know I have shown you a lot and have spread it out over the last few weeks.  There has been so much that I have wanted to share with you, I knew I couldn't do it all at one time or in one week.

The above picture is of the room where the attendees at lunch.  While they were there, Robin, Erica (my daughter) and I changed the room over from Fall to Christmas.

Holiday Extravaganza 2019, Stampin Scrapper, Joyce WhitmanWhen the attendees came back into the room they had the notebook and pen, Santa sleigh filled with a treat in the Santa bag, candy canes and chocolate and the snowman created with the Mini Curvy Keepsake Box.  We got the idea for the little snowman box from the Stampin' Up! 2019 holiday catalog on page 18.

Fullsizeoutput_1b1cI was so excited when I heard that my sister (on the left), Jan, and Patty (on the right) my niece, were going to be able to come to my event.  They haven't been down to Ohio in 5 years.  So, this was such a special treat.  We had such a great time, I can't wait to see them again.

We had such a great time at my Holiday Extravaganza.  I can't wait to do it again next year.  I am in negotiations with a couple of places, so as soon as everything is finalized I will let you know.

You all know how I love snowmen, so of course, we were going to do the Let It Snow suite!  Aren't they cute?!  With this kit they made 6 projects, 4 cards, a gift card holder and a note holder.

I have made these before and they were always a big hit.  We had a local copy shop make the note pads for us.  It was so much cheaper than trying to buy them already done, plus we supported a local small business.

This little guy makes me smile.  Have you seen the beautiful Let It Snow Specialty designer series paper?  It is beautiful!  Some of the pages have glitter on them, which makes them sparkle!  Snowmen and sparkles!  Yay!

I saw this card online and fell in love with it.  I don't know who created it, but thank you for sharing it.  I have really been drawn to red and white lately for snowmen.

Do you a cute holder for a coffee gift card?  This is a great one and they are easy to make.  The gift card goes in the band that has the sentiment on it.  You can fill the cup with anything.  We put Hershey kisses in ours.

When we were creating this card, I didn't want to do the classic fold.  I wanted to do something different.  I have done this layout before, but it has been a long time.

The second kit we did at our Holiday Extravaganza retreat was the Come To Gather suite from the Stampin' Up! 2019 Holiday catalog.  I really like how this kit came out.  I have made extras of these cards to use for my personal use, especially the gift card holder.

In this kit there were 4 cards and 1 gift card holder.   The first card they made was a simple but pretty card.  I think using the Pinewood Plank on the Terracotta Tile cardstock really made this card.

One of the colors that coordinate with the Come To Gather suite is Pretty Peacock.  It is such a pretty rich color and is perfect for Fall or with some of our Christmas designer series paper.  We used another piece of paper from the Come To Gather designer series paper pack.  One this that I really like about the dies from this suite is that the small leaves cut and emboss at the same time.

The final project for this kit was a gift card holder.  This holder is very easy to make and can be used for any occasion.  All you would have to do is change the colors and designer series paper.  You could make one for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Valentines Day or birthday.  So many possibilities.

Please note:  Some of the projects from Holiday Extravaganza were from Pinterest and/or YouTube.  We used them for inspiration or we might have case'd  (create and share everything) them.  Then there were some that we designed exclusively for our Holiday Extravaganza.  Since they were created special for the attendees, I will not be sharing the measurements or instructions.

For each of our kits, we picked a suite and used that for all of our projects, with the exception of sometimes using an additional stamp set.

Here are all the products we used for this kit.  If you would like to purchase any of the supplies I used for any of the projects, just click on the picture below.

Holiday Extravaganza 2019 - Halloween

StampinUpHolidayExtravaganza2019HalloweenKitStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman

Robin and I had 5 different kits for the attendees to create at our Holiday Extravaganza.  The first one was Halloween themed and we used the Wonderfully Wicked stamp set and Wicked dies.  We also used the Monster Bash designer series paper all from the Stampin' Up! 2019 holiday catalog.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, Wonderfully Wicked bundle, Wonderfully Wicked stamp set, Wicked dies, Monster Bash designer series paper, cat punch, leaf punch, Timeless Label punch, Tin Tile Embossing folder, clear boxes, test tubes, glittered organdy ribbon, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

The first project they made was the adorable pumpkin with the clear boxes.  We got inspiration from a lot of different places for our projects.  Some we created, some we took bits and pieces from projects we saw on line and came up with our own and some we made just like the original creator.   This is one of the projects that we made just like the creator, but changed the sentiment.

In this treat holder Mentos fit perfectly inside of it.  With all of our treat holders, we gave them the candy to put in them, so they didn't have to go get it themselves.  Also, with each kit, they got a surprise from us.  With this kit the got the beautiful Glittered Organdy Ribbon from the annual catalog.

I think it was a couple of years ago that Stampin' Up! had the test tubes in one of their catalogs.  Well, for some reason I thought I needed to buy boxes and boxes of them.  This was a perfect time to use them!  I still have a bunch left.  LOL

For each of our kits, we picked a suite and used that for all of our projects, with the exception of sometimes using an additional stamp set.

This picture makes me so happy!  When I look at it, I smile, I laugh and my heart is filled with joy.  On Saturday, I had my first ever retreat.  I called it Holiday Extravaganza since all the projects were created from the Stampin' Up! 2019 holiday catalog.  Robin and I along with 21 friends and family, created 23 different projects.

I couldn't have done this retreat without the help of my best friend Robin.

Come back on Wednesday to see the projects we made in the first kit - Halloween.  I will have more pictures of the room too.

I am going to be doing something totally different in my Facebook live tonight at 7:00pm EST on my Stampin Scrapper page.  I hope you can join me to see what it is.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Have a marvelous Monday!

Happy Stampin and
