Have you reserved your Stamparatus yet?  I have to say, as I have been playing with mine, I absolutely love it!!!  You can do so many wonderful things with it.  You have until December 30th to register to get your own.  They will be shipped out based on when you reserve yours.  This fabulous product will also be in the new annual catalog that goes live in June.

Some of you have been asking how I already have one when they were not suppose to be shipped until sometime in February.  A couple of years ago I was asked to be part of a group called L2L (leader 2 leader).  The L2L group is a group of demonstrators who work with people from Stampin' Up! on designing and marketing new products.  We have been involved with this product for over 2 years, which as gone by so fast.  One of the most important things we had to do to be on this team was to sign a confidentiality clause.  I have not been able to talk about the Stamparatus, which was killing me, until I was told it was okay. As a thank you for our work and to help with marketing we were able to order one this month and get it right away.  We had to pay for it just like you will when you order yours.  This gives us time to play, make projects and videos and send our feedback to the company.

If you would like to reserve one for yourself, click on the link below.

How to Reserve Your Stamparatus Tutorial for Customers (US l CA)

Snowflake Sentiments and Thankful Thoughts (CT #127)

Today is CASE-ing Tuesday!  I needed thank you notes for the gifts that I got for Christmas, so this was a perfect time to make mine with the Thankful Thoughts stamp set.  As I was looking outside at the beautiful snow, I got the idea to use snowflakes on my card.  For the snowflakes I used the Snowflake Sentiments from the holiday catalog.  I love the font in this set along with the snowflakes.  I am really excited it will be carried over.  That means that you will be able to order it until the end of May!!!  Yay!

Here is the picture that was our inspiration this week.

24174366_10212144588584345_2843954249599842654_n

To make this project you will need the following products:

Marina Mist Cardstock #119682

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Soft Sky Cardstock #131203

  • cut at 1 1/4" x 2 1/4"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 2" x 5 1/2"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

I used the Basics Pack 3 Washi Tape above and below the white paper to frame it.  The snowflakes and sentiment in the inside were stamped with Marina Mist ink and the sentiment was stamped with Dapper Denim ink.  To decorate my envelope I stamped the snowflake on the bottom left corner.

How was your Christmas?  Ours was wonderful!  We had both of our girls home and we had a snow!  We didn't get a lot, but enough to cover the ground.  I couldn't have asked for anything more.

However, our Christmas Eve was very stressful.  Erica had to drive home from Traverse City, MI, which in good driving conditions, is 7 1/2-8 hours away.  She got out of work at 3:30pm and then headed out.  I was a nervous wreck all day long as there were snow advisories out all day for the whole area she was traveling.  I get a phone call around 8:00pm that she had hit black ice and was in the ditch.  A mother's worst nightmare!  I got her calmed down, she called a tow truck and was waiting for it to arrive.

As soon as I got off the phone with her, I got on Facebook and starting asking this wonderful group I am in, Creating for Christ, to start praying for her.  Emily contacted her friends in Texas and I sent out text messages to my family.  We had people all of the country praying for her and her safety.  God answers prayers!!!  A tow truck showed up about 10 minutes later, he was driving by and saw her.  He told her she would have waited 3 hours for the other tow truck to get there.  Thank goodness God answered our prayers!  He pulled her out and she was on her way again.  It cost her a fortune, but she was back on the road.  In the meantime, the roads had iced up and had more snow on them.

Erica finally got home safely a little after 1:00am.  I am not sure who cried more, her or me.  I was never so happy to have her in my arms.  To me she was the little, or I should say big, baby I brought home from the hospital.  She was 10 pounds at birth.  We had her for a very short time, she had to go back today as she has to work tomorrow.  I already miss her!

Needless, to say I really didn't think about what I needed to do for my blog until later this afternoon and realized I forgot to write this post.  So, here it is, just a little late.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Merry Christmas Monday Week #7

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! The Little Things stamp set #144954, Merry Christmas Monday, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects, please go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I hope you have enjoyed my Merry Christmas Monday series.  Today, I have a real cute box that looks like Santa's pants.  You can put little treats inside of it or a small gift.  I made these for our small group from church yesterday, for our Christmas party and they were a big hit!  I saw a box like this created by Twila and tweaked it a little for what I wanted.

To make this project you will need the following products:

Real Red Cardstock #102482

  • cut at 4" x 4 1/2" score all sides at 3/4"  this is the box base
  • cut at 2 1/4" x 11 3/4"
  • cut at 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"

Crushed Curry Cardstock #131199

  • cut at 1 1/4" x 1 1/2"

Basic Black Cardstock #121045

  • cut at 3/4" x 11 3/4"
  • cut at 3/4" x 1"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 1 1/4" x 2"
  • cut at 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

To make the base of the box you will score at 3/4" on all sides.  On the two shorter sides you will cut up to the score lines.  See the picture below.

TemplateforSantaPantsStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman.jpg

Put adhesive on the back of these flaps and fold in.  This is going to create the little box for the base.

On the long piece of red cardstock put Tear and Tape on the bottom edge and up one side.  Peel off the paper on the tape and adhere to the box, making sure you start with the side that doesn't have adhesive going up the side and the adhesive is on the bottom. Line up the edge of the paper with the bottom of the box and the adhesive towards the bottom.  This will create the side to your box.  When you have it all adhered, take your bone folder and rub it on the inside of the box where the adhesive is from the paper you just attached.   This will make it adhere and stick better.

Add the little white strip to the center of the front of your box.  The put Tear and Tape on the bottom edge of the long strip of black paper.  Adhere it just like you did the red strip making sure the adhesive is at the bottom.  You are going to want to make sure the top of the black strip is even with the top of the box.  This is now Santa's belt.

To make the belt buckle, adhere the small piece of black paper to the center of the Crushed Curry piece of paper, then adhere it to black strip.  On Twila's project she added two black strips (1/2" x 5 1/2") to make suspenders.  I didn't add it to my project because of the size of my goodies in the bag.

For the tag I used the stamp set The Little Things in the Holiday catalog and punched it out with the 2 1/4" circle punch.  The red piece is cut out with a retired 2 1/2" circle punch.  You could use a framelit from the Layering Circle Framelits for your red circle.

I have been trying to use up some of my retired ribbon and got this ribbon out of my stash.

Hearts Come Home

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Hearts Come Home Stamp Set #145416, Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies #144671, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I have t say this is probably one of my favorites of all the Christmas cards I have made this season.  It is really hard to show in the picture of how pretty the glitter is for the snow and how elegant it looks.

To make this card you will need  the following products:

Cherry Cobbler Cardstock #119685

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 4 1/4" x 4 1/2"
  • cut at 2" x 4 1/4"

I cut out the two white pieces of cardstock using the Hometown Greetings Edgelits.  The wonderful thing about these edgelits is that the bottom of them don't cut.  So you can place them where ever you want to on your paper and the bottom will be left alone.  So I put both of the pieces as close to the top of my paper so I would have blank space on the bottom.  That way I can layer them and give the card dimension.

Once you have them cut, I laid the biggest piece (the one with the church) on my card base, but did not adhere it.  I wanted to see where it was going to go so I knew where to emboss my sentiment.  Once I knew exactly where I wanted it, I embossed it using the white embossing powder.  I also added little stars all around it, again using the white embossing powder.

For the snow I put Multipurpose Glue on the bottom sections of the white paper and added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  It sparkles and looks like snow with the sun or moon shining on it.  Here is a closer look at the area with snow.

StampinUpHeartsComeHomestampsetHoemtownGreetingsEdgelits2017HolidayCatalogChristmascardStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman3

I used sentiments for the front and inside of my card from the Hearts Come Home stamp set.  This set is going to be carried over after the first of the year.  You will be able to get the stamp set and edgelits, but not as a bundle.  So, if you would like to get this stamp set and framelits you can order it until January 2nd as a bundle and save 10%.

When I put the top layer of white paper on I adhered it with Stampin Dimensionals, so it was lifted up a little off the paper.

Do you have any plans for this weekend?  I am so excited for this weekend because this is my baking weekend!  I spend all weekend and bake, and bake and bake some more.  Each year I give my daycare parents goodie bags with 10-15 different baked goods.  They look forward to it each year.  I have had husbands hide different treats from their wives, so they get all of it.  LOL

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend!

SCS Creative Crew December 2107 Project #3

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Seasonal Chums Stamp Set #144948, 3/8" Classic Weave Ribbon #144160, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking or 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Hello!  This is my third project for SCS Creative Crew.  We had to do a project that used a technique and the theme was winter wonderland.  I immediately thought of the dryer sheet technique because it looks just like snow, especially when you add the dazzling diamonds to it.

To do this technique you will first need to stamp your images and do any coloring, if there is any on your project.  On my project I stamped my images from the Seasonal Chums stamp set and also used the snowflakes from the Tags and Trimmings.  The snowflakes are really hard to see  in the picture as I stamped them with Soft Sky ink.  Next time I think I would use Marina Mist and if that was too dark, then stamp it off first.  In person you can see the snowflakes. I used markers to color in the snowmen.

You will then cover your paper with adhesive, you can use spray adhesive, liquid glue or a glue stick.  You will need a used dryer sheet to place on top of your glue.  Smooth out all of the wrinkles and trim off the excess.  This is the fun part now, sprinkle it with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and shake off the excess.  It sparkles like the snow!  I adhered this to a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock with the 3/8" Classic Weave Ribbon in Soft Sky around it.  When all of that is together than attach it to your card base.

To make this project you will need the following products:

Soft Sky Cardstock #131203

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Melon Mambo Cardstock #115320

  • cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"

Here is a close up of the snowmen and you can see the snowflakes better in this picture.

Aren't they so cute?  I just love snowmen!

I know this blog post is coming out late today, but I do have a very good reason why.  I have been in bed since Saturday afternoon with the most severe case of a stomach virus that I have ever had in my life.  I was physically sick for almost 30 hours. I didn't even know that was possible!  On Monday I was feeling better and was going to go back to work on Tuesday.  That didn't happen as my body had other plans for me.  Can you believe I ended up getting sick again.  I guess my body really liked the virus, or the virus was really mad at my body.

Today, 5 days later, I finally feel human, but am extremely weak.  Who knew that just going down a flight of stairs would wear you out to the point you have to sit down.  Needless to say, I am not working today as I wouldn't have the energy to take care of children and I know I couldn't pick up my baby.  So, I am sitting here in my recliner trying to get my energy back, so I can work tomorrow.

I always try to find the good in something and in this the only thing I can think of is the weight loss.  Through all of this I have lost 10 pounds, which I am happy about, but not the way I would like to do it though.

Thank you for stopping by today and being patient with me.  I hope everyone has a great day and stay healthy!

Merry Christmas Monday Week #5

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up Colorful Seasons stamp set #143276, Snowflake Sentiments stamp set #144820, Foil Snowflakes #144642, Year of Cheer DSP #144640, Trim Your Stocking Thinlits #144682, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects, go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

What do you think of the purple and gold colors?  I never really think of purple as a color for the holidays, but our theme was Winter Wonderland for the SCS Creative Crew this month.  We were given 4 pictures to get inspiration from and one of them had a purplish tint to it.  It caught my eye right away.  See it below

Winter wonderland 2

Isn't this picture so peaceful, bright, calming and elegant all at the same time.  I could picture myself sitting on a bench sipping coffee or hot chocolate and letting the worries of the day fall away.   This picture got me thinking about how could I make a card, that was a creative fold and with a winter wonderland theme.

The first thing I did was go to my designer series paper and see if anything jumped out at me.  It didn't take me long to find the Year of Cheer DSP with the snowflakes in gold and silver all over it.  I knew then I could really put any color with the paper, but I wanted to tie in the color from the picture.  I found the Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant to be a perfect combination.

I then remembered I had made a double front fold card before and loved it.  If you missed it, click HERE to see it.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper #144640

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 6 1/4 score at 2"

Elegant Eggplant Cardstock #105126

  • cut 2 at 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 4 3/4" x 7 1/2" score at 3 3/4"
  • cut 2 at 2 1/2" x 3 1/2"

I stamped a sentiment from the Colorful Seasons stamp set on the smallest piece of Whisper White cardstock using the Wisteria Wonder ink.   Then I stamped a snowflake from the Snowflake Sentiments for the inside of the card and my envelope with Elegant Eggplant ink.

I attached the Wisteria Wonder cardstock to the Year of Cheer DSP , making sure I was close to the fold line, but not too close.  If you put the Wisteria Wonder paper right on the line, the flap of them DSP will not lay nice.  I would try it first before you put your adhesive on it so you know exactly where you want to put it.

You will then attach one of the Elegant Eggplant  pieces on top of the large Wisteria Wonder piece of paper, making sure it is centered.  Attach the white piece of paper with the sentiment on it to this piece.  See the pictures below for a visual of what I am talking about.

You will then put the other piece of Elegant Eggplant paper on the top attaching it to the DSP paper.  REMINDER, only put adhesive on the left hand side of this paper.  Line up your two pieces and then press down.  You want to make sure they are even, they are suppose to look like they are connected.

Snowflake Gift Card Holder/Card

stampin up, Stampin Up Snowflake Sentiments stamp set #144820, Foil Snowflakes #144642, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper #135315, Christmas Around The World dSP #144629, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects, go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

This is another card that I made where you can have the gift card holder right inside the card.  How awesome is that?!  You only have to do one card for both things you need.  Who doesn't like that time saver, especially at this time of year.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Christmas Around The World Designer Series Paper #144629

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 12" score at 4" and 8"

Pool Party Cardstock #122924

  • cut 2 at 3 7/8" x 5 3/8"
  • cut at 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"
  • cut at 1" x 4"

Basic Gray Cardstock #121044

  • cut at 3 3/4" x 5 1/4"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 3 1/2" x 5"
  • cut at 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"

To make the pocket for the gift card you are going to start with having your designer series paper laying in front of you with the 12" side on the top and bottom.  You will want the pattern that you want on the outside facing down onto your desk/table.

Fold down the upper right hand corner to the first score line (this is the dotted line on the picture).  The pink diagonal line is where you will fold down the corner.   Trim off a sliver of the edge that is right a long the score line.  This will help it fold nicer and not be too thick.  I used a little bit of Snail Adhesive under this flap to help hold down the section that you folded.  It lays flatter if you do this step.

You will need to put your piece of cardstock in the middle section before you adhere the right side flap to the middle section.  I put a piece of paper here because I didn't want the other side of the paper showing and to make it a little stronger since we are using a designer series paper.  If you were using a piece of plain cardstock you would not have to do this step.

If you are going to use this for a gift card you will want to put the adhesive up to the blue line in the picture.  If you want to use it to put tags or maybe some tickets you will only put adhesive on the edges.

TemplateforgiftcardholdercardStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman 2

You can then go ahead and adhere all your other pieces and your sentiment.  I used Snail adhesive on the sentiment because I wanted it to be flat.

stampin up, Stampin Up Snowflake Sentiments stamp set #144820, Foil Snowflakes #144642, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper #135315, Christmas Around The World dSP #144629, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects, go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

The picture really doesn't show you how pretty the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter paper is on top of the Foil Snowflakes.  The snowflake was cut out using the framelit from the the Trim Your Stocking Framelits.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a terrific day!

Smitten Mittens (CT #123)

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Smitten Mittens stamp set #144931, Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper #144640, 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon #144213, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I was so excited when I was asked to be a part of a FaceBook group called CASE-ing Tuesday Bloggers.  I will get a picture, along with the other participating bloggers, and we have to CASE (Copy) the project.  We can use the same products, or we can also do something totally different.  However, the basic design of the card needs to be the same.  All of the projects will be from one of the current catalogs.

Then on every Tuesday we will blog about our projects and post them to the CASE-ing Tuesday Bloggers Facebook page.   I will also be posting it on my Stampin Scrapper Facebook Page,  Pinterest  and Instragram.

The project we used for this weeks challenge is pictured below.  I have kept the basic design with my top layer is on the left hand side of the card and I have the same size of paper.  However, I added another layer between the red and white layer on the catalog picture and used my ribbon in a different way.  I used the stamp set Smitten Mittens with the Many Mittens Framelits.  These two are offered as a bundle in the Holiday catalog for a 10% discount!  Yay!

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Labels to Love #144967, CASE-ing Tuesday, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3d projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

To make this card you will need the following products:

Whisper White Thick Cardstock #140272

  • 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Night of Navy Cardstock #100867

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut 2 at 2 1/2" x 3"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 3" x 5"

Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper #144640

  • cut at 3 3/4" x 5"

For the mittens I cut out two white mittens to put behind the blue ones.  In the framelits, there is a framelit for each hand for the white mittens, however, there is only one for the decorative blue mitten.  You will need to cut out 2 of them and then flip one of the over.

I added Wink of Stella all over the blue mittens to add sparkle.  I finished off with the 3/8" Metallic-Edge ribbon.

I would like to thank everyone who ordered from me during the Online Extravangza and Cyber Monday.   I really appreciate all of you!

It was so wonderful having Emily home for Thanksgiving and spending time with her.  It was very hard though, not having Erica here.  Erica had to work so she wasn't able to come home this year.  When you work in retail, you are going to have to work on Thanksgiving.  We are really praying that she will be able to come home for Christmas.

You know how I said I was so excited to go Black Friday shopping, well, we didn't go.  We all realized that none of us were really into shopping this year, so we didn't go.  But, I will say, I sure did a lot of online shopping.  You know what, I really didn't miss it this year.  I think for me it was because Erica wasn't here.  I am hoping next year we are back to shopping, we always have so much fun.

Week #4 Merry Christmas Monday project was so much fun and turned out just the way I had pictured it in my mind.  A lot of times I have one idea in my head and when I go to put it on paper it turns out totally different.  This time it turned out just the way I imagined it.  I love it!

I have a little bit of everything on this project.  First of all I used the Seasonal Chums stamp set with coordinating Seasonal Tags Framelits, Winter Wonder embossing folder, At Home Framelits, our new Stampin' Blends markers and Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter.

To make this project you will need the following products:

Mini Pizza Boxes #144645

Pool Party Cardstock #122924

  • cut 2 at 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 1 3/4" x 3 1/4"
  • cut at 2 1/4" x 2 3/4"
  • scrap for the sign

I stamped the front portion of the snowman with the Memento Ink and colored it with the new Stampin' Blends markers.  I used the Smoky Slate, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Pool Party markers.  If you look real close you will see where I used the light Pool Party and went around the edges of the snowman.  This softened the look of the snowman and gave him some shading. This stamp set along with the Seasonal Tag Framelits are offered as a bundle, which is a 10% savings if ordered together.  You have to use the bundle item number when adding this product to your order to get the discount.

To make the little sign I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and cut it out with the little rectangle from the At Home Framelits.  Take your white piece of cardstock and rip it to make the snow.  I then used my Fine -Tip Glue Pen and covered it with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter for the snow to sparkle.  I cut a 1/8" piece from Early Espresso paper for the stick on the sign.

The embossing on the Pool Party cardstock was made using the new Winter Wonder embossing folder.

This is what the inside of the box looks like.  I can't let it go undecorated so,  I used the stamp from the The Little Things stamp set that was made to go with the Mini Pizza boxes.  For the candy inside, I went looking around Target to find something different.  I ended up purchasing the Hershey Bells and they fit perfectly!

Christmas Card Using Painted Harvest Stamp Set

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest Stamp Set #144783, Large Letters Framelits #141712, Garden Trellis Embossing Folder #143741, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I saw this card made by Jeanie Stark on Pinterest and thought it would be perfect for one of my Christmas card classes.  Thank you Jeanie for sharing it with everyone.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Real Red Cardstock #102482

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 3 1/8" x 4 3/8"
  • cut a t 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" this is for the "J" and "Y"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 3" x 4 1/4"

I found the easiest way to make everything line up is to stamp your wreath first and then attach you cut out letters.  The colors I used for my wreath are Pear Pizzazz, stamp this first, and Garden Green.  I used Real Red for the berries and for my sentiment inside.  I used the Nature Sings stamp set for the sentiment.

The embossing on one of the Whisper White pieces was done with the Garden Trellis embossing folder.  I finished off the card with the 1/8" Solid Ribbon in Real Red.

To decorate my envelope, I stamped the back flap with the wreath.

It is a short post today as I am out shopping and spending time with Emily and Mr. Wonderful.  Have a great Friday and holiday weekend!
