Hang Your Stocking Card

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Hang Your Stocking #142114, Embellished Ornament #139756, Holly Embossing Folder #141634, Christmas Stocking Thinlets Dies #141841, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, scrapbooking and gift ideas go to stampinscrapper.com

Do you ever put something somewhere special, so you know right where it is when you need it?  I did that with this card.  I have been waiting to put this card on my blog as I made it for a swap.  I then couldn't find it anywhere.  I finally found it in a different file that I hadn't had out in a while.  I have no idea how it got there.  LOL

I have been waiting for a Christmas stocking stamp set and then this one came out with matching framelits.  I knew I had to have it.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Real Red Card Stock #102482

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 2" x 3 1/2"
  • cut at 1 1/8" x 4"

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 1" x 4"
  • scraps for the white on the stocking

I used the Holly Embossing Folder on the Whisper White card stock to give this card some texture.  The sentiments came from the stamp set Embellished Ornaments.  I used the 1/8" Silver Ribbon to complete the look of the stocking.

Did you survive Thanksgiving?  did you eat a lot of yummy food and then take a nap?  We were blessed to have friends join us for the day. We all had a great time!

We are out hitting the Black Friday sales today.  I love going shopping on this day and I know a lot of you stay away as far as you can.  I love the buzz, the hustle, atmosphere and of course the sales.   I am not crazy about the ones that have bad or nasty attitudes.  It is suppose to be a happy time of year.

Today is also a special day as tomorrow we have to take Emily back to the airport to go back to Texas.  :(  The only good thing is she will be back at Christmas for two weeks!  YAY!!!  I have loved having her home and spending time with her.

Have a wonderful Friday!

Happy Stampin!

Christmas Lamp Post

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Christmas Magic #142116, Hang Your stocking #142144, Layering Oval Framelits #141706, Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #143537, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more card, scrapbooking and gift ideas go to stampinscrapper.com

I am so impressed with the new Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  It gives your cards yet another dimension.  This embossing folder creates a deep, dimensional embossed impression.  One thing you need to do with this embossing folder is, you have to spritz it with a little bit of water.   This softens up the fibers in the paper so you get the deep design you want.  It is so detailed, I love it!

We made this card at my November Christmas Card Class.  The stamp set Christmas Magic is one of my favorites.  I know I have used it every month of my Christmas Card classes.  I am sure glad my customers like it as much as I do!

To make this card you will need the following products:

Real Red Card Stock #102482

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 3" x 4"

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 3" x 4"

I used the Hang Your Stocking stamp set and Soft Sky ink for the snowflakes around the lamp post.  I also stamped the lamp post inside the card and on my envelope.  I put the stamp "Sending a little Christmas magic your way" inside the card.

To add a little bit of sparkle to the card I used Wink of Stella glitter pen on all the places I used the Soft Sky marker.   The red oval is popped with Stmapin Dimensionals.

I used the following markers to color this card.

  • Crumb Cake
  • Garden Green
  • Real Red
  • Soft Sky

Can you believe Thanksgiving is only 2 days away?!  I am looking so forward to all the yummy food and having friends helping us celebrate.  We are having so much fun with Emily being home.  I am truly enjoying her being home and having everyone here.  God is good!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Happy Stampin!

Welcome to Merry Christmas Monday Week#2!  This week I have made a lip balm holder.  My friend, Anna Maria, sells Avon and was going to be doing a craft fair.  She wanted something cute to put the lip balm in so they would make a great stocking stuffer.  I saw something like this on Pinterest and thought it was perfect.

This is very easy to make and if you need to make multiples of it, I would recommend you do all your scoring first and then cut your paper.  It took us no time to cut everything out for her to make 30 of them.

To make this you will need the following items:

Garden Green Card Stock #102584

  • cut at  2" x 2 1/2"  score at 3/4" from each end on the 2 1/2" side
  • cut at 2" x 10" score at 3/4", 1 3/4", 3 3/4", 4 3/4", 7 1/2" and 8 1/2"

Cherry Cobbler Card stock #119685

  • cut at 2 3/4' x 5"

Warmth and Cheer Designer Series Paper Stack #141991

  • cut at 2" x 2 1/2" score at 1" from the top of the paper (this is especially important if you have a design on your paper)

Here is a picture of the template I made for this project:

IMG_7331

You will notice that there are two red 3/4" circles on both of the pieces.  These are to mark where you need to punch out a circle for the lip balm to slide into.  Here is an awesome tip for you so they will line up perfectly.  You need to put the small piece (2" x 2 1/2") on top of the long piece.  Make sure that the score lines on both pieces line up.  You will want it on the end of the long piece that has the shorter section before a score line.  I then punched out a 3/4" circle from a scrap piece of paper and added just a little, I mean little bit of snail adhesive to it.  Put it on the small piece, middle section, centered.  You will then take your punch and punch through both pieces at the same time.  Now they are perfectly lined up.  Easy Peasy!!

Fold your papers on the score lines and burnish with your bone folder.  You are going to want to make sure you have crisp lines. You will then put adhesive (I found that the Multipurpose Glue worked the best) on the section below the circle in the picture above.  You will then adhere that to the longest section making sure everything is square.  The small piece will fit right in underneath so you can adhere that now too.

If you look at the picture above and  below you will see how it fits together.  I then adhered the Designer Series Paper and the velcro dots for the closure.

IMG_7350

I then added a bow made with our bow maker punch.  These turned out so cute!  I know I will be making them for little stocking stuffers this year!

Have a fabulous Monday!

Happy Stampin!

Merry Christmas Monday Week #1

Pexels-photo-214238-large

It's time for my new series Merry Christmas Monday!!!!  I am so excited!  Every Monday from now until Christmas I will be making a 3D project, gift boxes and bags, tags, stocking stuffers and more! You are not going to want to miss it!  Make sure you check back every Monday and more!

This is my first project - A Notebook Holder

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Candy Cane Christmas, Stampin' Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas, Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper, Candy Cane Lane Washi Tape, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more project and card ideas go to stampinscrapper.com

When I was thinking about what project to make my first thought was what do you need first for the holiday season?  You need a list of all the presents you need to make or buy, who to send cards to, what baking you want to make and what decorating you need to do.  Well, you need something pretty to put all those list in and I have the perfect thing for you!  I have a notebook holder with a pocket to keep your receipts in and a matching pen all in one place.

Here is a picture of the inside of the holder.

IMG_7280

The pocket on the left is perfect for receipts, recipes or whatever you would like to put in there.  I put the Candy Cane Lane Washi Tape on the top of the notebook and a santa from the Cookie Cutter Christmas on the pocket to decorate the inside.

To make this card you are going to need the following items:

Real Red Card Stock #102482

  • one 8 1/2" x 11" scored at 5 1/4" and 5 3/4" on the 11" side
  • cut one at  6 1/2" x 4 3/4"  - score the 6 1/2" at 1/2", 3/4", 5 3/4" and 6"  score the 4 3/4" side at 1/2" and 3/4"
  • cut at 2 1/4" x 5 1/8"  score at 1" from each side
  • scraps for Santa hats
  • See below for pictures of the above papers

Early Espresso Card Stock #119686

  • cut at 2" x 5 1/4"

Crumb Cake Card stock #120953

  • cut at 1 3/4" x 5 1/4"

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • scraps for the gingerbread man, Santa hats, mitten, star and candy cane

Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper # 141981

  • cut at 5 1/4" x 6"

Here are the pictures to explain how to score and put on the Tape and Tear adhesive.  You are going to want to use a strong adhesive to keep the pockets secure.

You will need to cut the corners and miter the sides so they make sharp corners.  Put your adhesive near the edge of the paper.

IMG_7269-2

You will want to cut out the corners on this piece also.  You need to put the adhesive along the first score line from the edge of the paper.

IMG_7270-2

IMG_7271-2

You will want to put adhesive one each side of the score lines and on one side put to pieces.  The side with the two pieces of adhesive go in the back of the notepad.

IMG_7272

To put the Notebook Cover together you will want to assemble them in the following order.

  • decorate the front of the 8 1/2" x 11" piece before you adhere the pockets
  • adhere the pocket for the notebook on the right hand side of the cover
  • adhere the pocket for the receipts on the left hand side of the cover.
  • adhere the piece to cover the top of the notebook and decorate it
  • slide  the notebook into the pocket

I added Wink of Stella on Santa's hats and the star on the mitten.  I also added white baker's twine for the bow on the candy cane.

You are now finished!!!  I hope you like this project.  I am going to stop procrastinating and start making videos and I will be making one of these for one of my videos.  When I have it done, I will add it to this post.

Can you believe this is the last Friday for my Fall Friday Series?!  I will be posting my final project on Halloween, Monday, October 31st.  I have throughly enjoyed doing this series.  I hope you have too.

This weeks project is a bigger box than I usually make.  Every year I make up a little goodie box for my girls for Halloween.  This year, I kinda went a little crazy and needed a bigger box.  So, off to my craft room to create one.  It looks like a medium size milk carton, which it pretty darn cute if I say so myself.

To make this project you will need the following products:

Halloween Night 12" x 12" Card Stock Pack #142023

  • cut the Basic Gray at 9 7/8" x 12"

Pumpkin Pie Card Stock #105117

  • scraps for the tags

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • scraps for the vampire and tags

Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper #142022

  • cut 4 at 2 5/8" x 3 7/8"

On the Basic Gray piece of paper you will need to do the following:

  • on the 9 7/8" score at 2 7/8" from each side
  • on the 12" score at 2 7/8", 5 3/4", 8 5/8", 11 1/2"
  • cut the bottom 1/2" x 2 7/8" section off
  • cut on the score lines from the bottom of the paper up to the first score line
  • use a strong adhesive (such as Fast Fuse or Tear and Tape) on the 1/2" section
  • adhere the sides together
  • overlap the bottom pieces to for the bottom of the box
  • pinch the top together and clip with the Gold Binder Clips

You will then adhere the Designer Series Paper and decorate the box.  Below is a picture of how to cut and score the paper

FullSizeRender

The bottom is where you will cut up to the first score line.  This is the bottom of the box.

This is a pretty easy box to make and you can make it for any occasion.

Lovely As A Tree Christmas Card

stampin up, Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree item #127793, Stampin' Up! Stampin' Up! Time of Year time #141790, Stampin' Up! Santa's Sleigh Thinlits item #140278, designed by Stampin Scrapper. Please see more card and gift ideas at stampinscrapper.com

I always tell my customers if they see something they want to make to please let me know.  There is two reasons why I like to get their input on our projects.   One is I can give my customers exactly what they are looking for and two, I can learn new things too.  This is one of those cards.   It is such a striking card, which I am not sure has come across my picture very well.

The Silver Glimmer paper just adds enough sparkle to make it special.  The Real Red bow on the white reindeer is perfect for this card.

You will need the following products to make this card:

Real Red Card Stock #102482

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 3" x 4 1/4"

Whisper White Card Stock #100730

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 2  3/4" x 4"
  • cut at 2" x 3" for the reindeer
  • cut at 1" x 3 1/2"

Silver Glimmer Paper #135314

  • cut at 2" x 3"

I have a couple of tips for you when you make this card.

  • stamp the trees on the 4" x 5 1/4" piece of white paper first
  • lay the smaller white paper and center on the stamped white paper.  This way you can see where you need to stamp the trees so they are about the same level.
  • use the blender pen and the Always Artichoke ink to blend in the shadows under the trees
  • I popped up the two top layers (smaller red/white)
  • I popped the white reindeer and the banner
  • I stamped one tree on the inside of the card and the envelope

I think you will love this card as much as I do.

Don't forget to sign up for my newsletter.  I do not personally send out the newsletter, so you will need to sign up for it if you would like to receive it.

Have a great and blessed Sunday!
