During my annual catalog kickoff, I shared this Mini Jam Jar and Scalloped Craft Treat Box that I decorated using the You're A Peach suite.  I love how they turned out!

For the box I used the You're A Peach designer series paper and stamped the flowers, leaves and sentiment from the Sweet As A Peach stamp set.  I cut the tag with the die from the Stitched So Sweetly set.  To finish it off I used the beautiful Gold Shimmer Ribbon and the 2021-2022 In Color Jewels.

On the Mini Jam Jar I used the same designer series paper, just a different pattern and the same ribbon as on the box.

For the designer series paper around the jar you will use a piece cut at 1 3/4" x 8".  For the top you will need a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece and cut it using the largest scalloped circle in the Layering Circle Dies.

HOW DID THEY DO THAT?

Did you notice the lid on the jar?  I saw it decorated like that in the annual catalog and was trying to figure out how they did it.  I finally did and wanted to share it with all of you.  It is actually easier than you think.  I did a quick Facebook live showing you how to decorate the lid with the paper and also how to shade the peach using two different colors.  Here is the video.

Wasn't that easy?!  When I first was looking at it, I thought it was going to be so hard to figure it out, but it wasn't!  I can't wait to try it with other designer series papers.  What would you do with these jars?

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a great Thursday and have a nice and relaxing weekend.

I am sending all of you lots of love and hugs.

Happy Stampin!

On Monday I shared with you my explosion box for the little Lindt snowman.  Today, I have a box for the really big snowman from Lindt.  I wanted to stay with the same designer series paper as I used on the first project, so I used the Let It Snow designer series paper.  I had already created this project before the paper went on the Close Out list from Stampin' Up!  This paper has sold out, but you can definitely use any designer series paper you have.

Cardstock:

Box

  • start with 8 1/2" x 11"
  • on 8 1/2" side score at 2 1/2"
  • on 11" side score at 2 3/4", 5", 7 3/4" and 10"

Lid

  • cut at 4 3/8" x 4 7/8"

You will cut on the score line from the side to the score line at 2 1/2".  Two of the sections (see above picture) are too long to fold together, so you need to trim them 1/4".  Then your box will fold nicely together.

Welcome to Merry Christmas Monday!  Today I am sharing with you the gifts I made for my roommates at the Stampin' Up! OnStage over the weekend.  I was with 1330 other fun and excited demonstrators in Lansing, Michigan.  We had such a great time.  I miss my friends, old and new, already.

I always make a gift for my roommate, Robin, and my friends Beth, Carla and Cathy.  We are the Stampin Babes!  I am so thankful for Stampin' Up!  If I was not a part of this wonderful company I would have never met my best friends!  You won't believe though what I forgot to do!  Take pictures.  On our way home yesterday, we realized we didn't take any pictures of us together.  I don't know what we were thinking.  Grr.  I think we were too busy enjoying being together.

I have made the gift bag before on a Facebook live.  Here is the link if you missed it.

I have been meaning to create a holder for my friend, Anna Maria, that sells Avon, for the small hand lotions.  I thought this was the perfect time, since I wanted to create a Winter Survival Kit.  The measurements for this holder are:

  • Cut a piece of designer series paper to 5 1/2" x 6 1/2"
  • On 6 1/2" side score at 1 1/4"
  • On 5 1/2" side score at 1 1/4" up to score line you made above, 2 1/2", 3 3/4" up to score line you made above and 5"

I found these adorable snowman car coaster at Hobby Lobby.  It had a snowman on it, so of course, I had to buy them.  The measurements for this holder are:

Gift Bags Made With Designer Series Paper

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, Magnolia Lane designer series paper, Stampin' Up! Blends, Magnolia Memory Dies, Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman, paper crafting, hand made, stamping, rubber stamping

I love to give gifts especially when I make the gift bags and cards for them to go in.  On Monday night I showed how to make these two bags using designer series paper.  I did not come up with these on my own.  Ronda Wade was so kind to share how she made them on YouTube.

These gift bags are fast and easy and a great way to use your designer series paper.  Stampin' Up! has some of the most beautiful designer series paper that I have seen.  Are you a designer paper hoarder like me?  I have been trying to use it more and more lately.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, Magnolia Lane designer series paper, Stampin' Up! Blends, Magnolia Memory Dies, Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman, paper crafting, hand made, stamping, rubber stamping

To make this gift bag, you are going to start out with two pieces of any 12" x 12" designer series paper.  On the above bag I used Stampin' Up! Magnolia Lane designer series paper.

The measurements are below:

1st 12" x 12" designer series paper

  • score at 3" and 9"
  • on other side score at 1" (this will be the top of your bag) and 9" (this will be the bottom of your bag)

2nd 12" x 12" designer series paper

  • cut 4" off one of the sides (make sure it is on the side of your bag, not top or bottom)
  • on 8" side score at 1" and 7"
  • on 12" side score at 1" (top of bag) and 9" (bottom of bag)

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, Magnolia Lane designer series paper, Stampin' Up! Blends, Magnolia Memory Dies, Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman, paper crafting, hand made, stamping, rubber stamping

To make this gift bag you are going to start with two pieces of 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock.  On the above bag I used Mossy Meadow with Magnolia Lane designer series paper.

On both pieces of cardstock:

  • on 8 1/2" side score at 1 1/2" and 7"
  • on 11" side score at 2 3/4" (this will be the bottom)

Designer Series Paper

  • cut 2 at 2 1/2" x 8"
  • cut 2 at 5 1/4" x 8"

You can use the 4" piece that you cut off to make a card with it.  I will have directions and measurements for the card on Friday along with information about my Holiday catalog paper share.

On Monday night I did my Facebook live on how to make these two gift bags.  Check out the video below.

There are so many possibilities with all the beautiful designer series paper in the 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! annual catalog.  I just got my preorder from the new 2019 holiday catalog and oh my goodness, the designer series paper is so beautiful.  I keep thinking about all the different gift bags I could make with it.

Thank you for stopping in today.  I hope you have a fantastic Wednesday.

Happy Stampin and

I had the sweet cups from theHow Sweet It Is suite in the occasions catalog since the catalog came out.  I totally forgot about them.  Oops!  I was looking for something different to make my ladies who were attending my Tropical Escape One Sheet Wonder Class as their thank you gift.  At every class I make a little something for the attendees as my thank you for joining me.

At first I was going to wrap the cup with cardstock, but didn't really have the time to do that.  I need something that was easy, fast and looked great.  This is what I came up with.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Tropical Escape Suite, One Sheet Wonder, Tropical Chic stamp set #146753, Tropical Escape 6 X 6 designer series paper #146916, 1/2" Textured weave ribbon #146920, Tropical Thinlits Dies #146831, Sweet Cups #148573, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I was at the Stampin Sisters Retreat over the weekend and had a fabulous time!  I got back late last night, so I am a little tired today.  I am going to be doing something very exciting today though.  I am going to go and check out a place to have a Holiday Extravaganza event.  It is going to be an all day event where we will be making projects from the new holiday catalog.  I can't wait!  I have been talking about doing this for some time and I decided I am just going to do it.  No more talking about it.

I will keep you up to date on what is going on with all of it.  I have so many ideas going through my head right now.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a great day!  It is very cold here in Ohio, at least the sun is out, so stay warm!

I was looking through a bin that I have under my craft table with things to use for 3D projects and came across these small cups.  I totally forgot I had them, so I grab them and started creating a project for my Fall Friday series.

I wanted to do a fall theme, not a Halloween and wanted to use something I haven't used in a while.  I have been concentrating on mostly products from the holiday catalog, but it is fun to use things in our annual catalog too.  So, for this project I used the Nature's Poem designer series paper along with the Leaves Trinkets.  The sentiment is from the Takeout Treats stamp set in the holiday catalog.  I guess I used a little bit out of each catalog.

For step by step directions to make this project please go to my post Merry Christmas Monday Week #3 from last year.

You can fill the little cup with what ever little treats you want to. You can also put a gift card behind the band that wraps around the top.  This would be a cute secret Santa gift, or a thank you gift for someone.  Do you know someone that loves coffee?  How cute would this be with a coffee gift card?  Hmm, that gives me an idea!

Next week will be my last Fall Friday and then on November 5th  I will be starting my Merry Christmas Monday series.  I hope you have enjoyed my series so far.

CoffeeandChatStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman2

I am so excited for tomorrow.  Mark and I had our 30 year wedding anniversary on Monday and we are going to celebrate it.  We are headed to Columbus for the day and then to a Blue Jackets hockey game.  We both enjoy watching hockey, so we are really looking forward to it.  We were going to go out to dinner on Monday to celebrate too, but he had to work all night, or should I say early morning and I ended up getting a stomach virus.  What a great way to spend our anniversary.  LOL  We weren't even in the same bedroom.  I didn't want him to get sick, so I slept on the couch.  I know the romance was just blooming that night.  LOL

Thank you for taking the time to stop in today.  I hope you are have a great weekend!

Happy Stampin!

This week I went to Target to see if I could find some fun candy to put in the new Baker's Boxes from the holiday catalog.  Do you remember last year when I did two cute packages with fun apple shaped candy?  If you missed it, click on Fall Friday 2017 Week #5     I didn't find that candy but I did find the delicious Werther's Pumpkin Spice soft caramels.  They are so good!  I am glad I needed them for this project or I might have eaten the whole bag!

I used one of the Baker's Boxes on page 49 in the holiday catalog.  These boxes are the perfect size to put candy or a baked goodie in them (they are food safe).  I wanted a designer series paper that had a fall color and found this one in the Festive Farmhouse designer series paper.  Yes, I found it in a Christmas pack!  It is amazing to me at times how versatile Stampin' Up! products are.  I am so happy they are!

To make this card you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock:

  • cut at 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"

  • cut at 4 at 2" x 4 1/8"

When you put the strips that go around the box you are going to need to do a little bit of trimming.  You can see in the pictures below where you need to trim your paper.

I used the 3/4" circle punch to cut the designer series paper on the front of the box that is overlapping the cut out already on the box.

I used the beautiful Detailed Leaves thinlits to cut out the leaves.  Did you notice on the green leaf there is embossing on it?  I used our Embossing Mats to make it.  You can take any framelit and make it an embossing framelit.  I used Linen Thread and made triple bows on each set of leaves.  On the leaves on the front I added one of the copper Leave Trinkets that are in the annual catalog.

Punch Art Fair Bags

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Punch Art Fair Gift Bags, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I have a fun project to share with you today!  Erica has been helping my family at the Northwestern Michigan Fair in Traverse City, MI for the last two years and has absolutely loved it!  My sister, Jan, and brother in law, Rudy, have a 4H group at the fair each year and Erica wanted to do something special for them this year.  She asked me if I could create a gift bag for each child, so she could put some little gifts in them to help keep the kids entertained while they were on the fairgrounds for 8 days.  Of course, I would make them!  I was so excited!

When I was talking to Erica about the bags we came up with the idea to design each bag to go with the animal they were showing at the fair.  It ended up that there were 10 kids, so I made 3 pigs, 3 sheep, 2 goats, one chicken and one rabbit.  Here is a picture of all of the animals before I put them on the bags.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Punch Art Fair Gift Bags, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I used a lot of different punches, current and retired, but I don't remember which ones I used as I didn't write them down.  I know I did go to Pinterest and look at a lot of different punch art.  I CASE'd (create and share everything) some of them, others I took a little from this one and a little from that one and created my version.   I also made these in May, so it makes it even harder to remember.  You can check the ones I pinned on Pinterest at Stampin Scrapper.

PicMonkey Image

You might be wondering why I haven't posted them until now, and the reason is I wanted to wait until Erica handed them out to the kids.  I know they are not following my blog, LOL, but I didn't want any of the parents seeing them either.  My sister didn't even know we were making these.  Everyone was so surprised.  The best thing is the kids loved them!

All of them were so sweet and posed for a picture with their bags so I could put them on here.

StampinUpPunchArtforFairBagsStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman8

The picture on the bottom left hand corner are my nephew's children.  They have grown so much since I saw them in April.  It is times like this that it is hard being away from family.  They are so stinkin cute!!!

I had a lot of fun making these for them and I have to say, I love creating 3D projects.  I think it is my favorite thing to design and create. I just don't do it as much as I want to.  I think I am going to have to change that for this upcoming holiday season.  In September I will be starting my Fall Friday projects, so I will have to make sure I made some 3D projects.  Make sure you check back for a new fall project every Friday from September 7th through October 26th.

Fall Friday 2017 Week #5

When I saw the projects that Stacey Krats made I feel in love with them for a couple of reasons.  The first reason is her projects are adorable!  Second, I have never heard of Hershey Carmel Apple filled milk chocolate and they are shaped like apples.  Oh, my goodness! They are out of this world!  If you haven't tried them, you must.  You won't be disappointed.  I immediately contacted Stacey and asked her if I could case (create and share everything) her projects for my Fall Friday series.  She was so gracious and said, "sure".  Wasn't that so sweet of her.  I have changed them up a little bit to put my touch on them.

The sentiment on the project on the right came from the Label Me Pretty stamp set.  On the project on the right I used the stamp set Painted Harvest and used the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper.  Do you see the leaves on the top of the right hand project?  I made those with the leaf punch that coordinates with the Painted Autumn Suite.  The banner was punched with the Triple Banner Punch.

For the paper on the project on the right you will need a piece 3 3/4" x 7 3/4" score at 5 1/2"

I thought these apples were perfect for this week as I am going to an apple festival tomorrow with a good friend of mine.  Do you like festivals?  I love them!

Have a great Friday and weekend!

I can finally share my display board with you!!!  I had so much creating with the  products from the new 2017-2018 catalog.  It has been hard keeping it quiet, but now I don't have to!!!!  You are going to love the new catalog.  I want everything in it!

I will be showing you all each product individually throughout the next month or so.

I had such a great time at OnStage.  I am not sure why I haven't gone before, but I know I will be going again.  Here are some pictures from my fun filled weekend.

This picture is with two of the wonderful people from the business retreat I went to last October.  It was so wonderful to see Tina and Beth.

On Friday while sitting up my display I got to meet Connie Stewart, one of my favorite demonstrators.  She is such a sweetheart!  I got to talk with her for about 20 minutes, which was the best part of my day. On Saturday I was able to get a picture with her.  I am not crazy about the look on my face, but I only got one picture with her, so I will take it.

The 3 MUSKETEERS!!!! Carla, Kim and I hung out together all weekend.  I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.  We had been talking with each other on Facebook and text for a while, so it was nice to finally meet in person.  I can say, I have found 2 very good friends over the week.  They are the best!
