Fall Friday 2020 Week #2 - Mini Paper Pumpkin Box

Fall Friday

Thank you so much for all you kind comments last week about my Impossible Box project.  I have added a video on how to create the project to the Fall Friday 2020 - Week #1.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, Fall Friday 2020 Week #2, Mini Paper Pumpkin Box, Banner Year, Celebrate Tidings, Little Treat Boxes dies, Snow Time dies, Metallic Mesh Ribbon, Treat Box Holder, created by Stampin Scrapper. For more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce WhitmanThis week's project is a style that is very different for me.  I love Fall and all the cute things that go with it.  The fall colors, pumpkins, scarecrows (cute ones), bon fires, sweater/sweatshirts, etc.  I am not into the scary stuff, especially for Halloween.  So this project, is not something I would usually make, but I thought I would give it a try.  Hey, you have to mix things up every once in a while.

For more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce WhitmanI haven't used the Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes in a long time and I had the Magic In This Night designer series paper left over from my holiday paper share, so I thought I would combine the two.  I really don't like spiders, so this paper wasn't my favorite in the pack, but I love the color Blackberry Bliss.

I used a few different products on this project.  I used the Banner Year and Celebration Tidings stamp sets along with the Little Treat Boxes (for the spiders) and Snow Time (for the sentiment) dies.  This project is one that is made with a little bit of this and a little bit of that from different products.

To make this project you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Mini Pizza Boxes

Cardstock:

Basic Black:

  • cut at 3 5/8" x 5 3/8"
  • cut 2 at 7/8" x 5 5/8"
  • cut 2 at 7/8" x 3 5/8"

Blackberry Bliss:

  • cut 2 at 3/4" x 5 1/2"
  • cut 2 at 3/4" x 3 1/2"

Magic In The Night Designer Series Paper

  • cut at 3 1/2" x 5 1/4"

For the sentiment I stamped it in Blackberry Bliss and the spider webs in Memento Black ink.   To finish off the project I cut 3 spiders from the Black Glitter Paper.

I have to say, I am not the original designer of this project. I saw this on Pinterest and fell in love with it immediately.  I went to Lorri Heiling's website and purchased the template for it right away.  Thank you Lorri so much for creating this project.  I will definitely make a lot more of these.

To make this project you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock:

Early Espresso

  • cut at 4 1/4" x 6 1/4"

  • cut 2 at 4 1/4" x 12"
  • scraps for the stem of the pumpkins

Pretty Peacock

  • cut at 4 1/4" x 6 1/4"
  • cut 2 at 4 1/4" x 4 1/4"

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, Gather Together, To Every Season, Colorful Seasons, Retiform Technique, Facebook Live, Paper Crafting, Cards, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

On Monday night on my Facebook live, I showed how to do the Retiform Technique.  I made one of these cards a couple years ago when I was on the Stampin' Up! Creative Crew Design Team on Splitcoaststampers.  If you haven't seen that post, check it out at SCS Creative Crew September 2017.

Would you like to try out this technique?  I have the video I made on Monday night for you to see how it is done.

To make this project, you will need the following products:

The card on the left is the one I made during my Facebook live and the one on the right is the one I made before taping.

One thing that you want to make sure if you are going to try this technique, you need to have post it notes or post it note tape.  You want something you can take off and move that won't rip your paper.

Holiday Extravaganza - Come To Gather Suite

The second kit we did at our Holiday Extravaganza retreat was the Come To Gather suite from the Stampin' Up! 2019 Holiday catalog.  I really like how this kit came out.  I have made extras of these cards to use for my personal use, especially the gift card holder.

In this kit there were 4 cards and 1 gift card holder.   The first card they made was a simple but pretty card.  I think using the Pinewood Plank on the Terracotta Tile cardstock really made this card.

One of the colors that coordinate with the Come To Gather suite is Pretty Peacock.  It is such a pretty rich color and is perfect for Fall or with some of our Christmas designer series paper.  We used another piece of paper from the Come To Gather designer series paper pack.  One this that I really like about the dies from this suite is that the small leaves cut and emboss at the same time.

The final project for this kit was a gift card holder.  This holder is very easy to make and can be used for any occasion.  All you would have to do is change the colors and designer series paper.  You could make one for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Valentines Day or birthday.  So many possibilities.

Please note:  Some of the projects from Holiday Extravaganza were from Pinterest and/or YouTube.  We used them for inspiration or we might have case'd  (create and share everything) them.  Then there were some that we designed exclusively for our Holiday Extravaganza.  Since they were created special for the attendees, I will not be sharing the measurements or instructions.

For each of our kits, we picked a suite and used that for all of our projects, with the exception of sometimes using an additional stamp set.

Here are all the products we used for this kit.  If you would like to purchase any of the supplies I used for any of the projects, just click on the picture below.

Fall Friday Week #6 - Harvest Hellos & Tags, Tags, Tags

Welcome to Fall Friday 2019!  This week I have a treat holder that I made using the Stampin' Up! Kraft Pillow Boxes.  I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do for my Fall Friday series when I saw one of the pillow boxes sitting on my craft table.  I was looking at it, trying to figure out what I could do with it.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, Tags, Tags, Tags stamp set, Harvest Hellos stamp set, Kraft Pillow Boxes, Layering Ovals Dies, Blends, Paper crafting, Halloween, Fall, Pumpkin, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman
I knew I wanted to do a Halloween one, so I started with the Harvest Hellos stamp set and the coordinating Apple Builder punch.  I stamped the Pumpkin and tag with Memento ink.  For the tag I used the Tags, Tags, Tags stamp set and cut out the tag and little pumpkins on the tag with the Trio of Tags dies.  If you buy them as a bundle (using the bundle item number) you will save 10% .

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, Tags, Tags, Tags stamp set, Harvest Hellos stamp set, Kraft Pillow Boxes, Layering Ovals Dies, Blends, Paper crafting, Halloween, Fall, Pumpkin, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I colored the Kraft Pillow Box with a Basic Black Stampin Write Marker.  I was looking for a ribbon to use on it, and I couldn't find one that was the color Pumpkin Pie.  So, what do you do?  You make your own.  I colored the Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon  with the Dark Pumpkin Pie Blend marker.  You are going to want to let it dry before you use it.  If not, the color will come off on your hands if the ink isn't dry.Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, Tags, Tags, Tags stamp set, Harvest Hellos stamp set, Kraft Pillow Boxes, Layering Ovals Dies, Blends, Paper crafting, Halloween, Fall, Pumpkin, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I decided to make another pillow box for Fall using the same stamp set, Harvest Hellos.  This time I used the apple stamp and punched it out with the same Apple Builder punch.

To color the apple I used Stampin' Up! Blends Cherry Cobbler - both light and dark, Old Olive  - both light and dark and the dark Soft Suede.  I used the Classic Label Punch to punch out the hole at the top of the pillow box and tied the bow with the Basic Black 3/8" Scalloped Edge Ribbon from the Stampin' Up! 2019 holiday catalog.

There are so many possibilities with these boxes.  What are you going to make with them?

It's Friday! It is going to be a busy weekend in my stamping studio.  I have Christmas card class tonight and on Sunday afternoon.  Tomorrow I am really excited because we are going to Ikea!!!  Yay!!! I wonder what we will come home with?

Thank you for stopping by and have fabulous weekend. If you are in an area that is getting the cold weather, stay warm.  I know we will be getting out our winter coats for tomorrow morning.

Holiday Extravaganza 2019 - Halloween

StampinUpHolidayExtravaganza2019HalloweenKitStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman

Robin and I had 5 different kits for the attendees to create at our Holiday Extravaganza.  The first one was Halloween themed and we used the Wonderfully Wicked stamp set and Wicked dies.  We also used the Monster Bash designer series paper all from the Stampin' Up! 2019 holiday catalog.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, Wonderfully Wicked bundle, Wonderfully Wicked stamp set, Wicked dies, Monster Bash designer series paper, cat punch, leaf punch, Timeless Label punch, Tin Tile Embossing folder, clear boxes, test tubes, glittered organdy ribbon, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

The first project they made was the adorable pumpkin with the clear boxes.  We got inspiration from a lot of different places for our projects.  Some we created, some we took bits and pieces from projects we saw on line and came up with our own and some we made just like the original creator.   This is one of the projects that we made just like the creator, but changed the sentiment.

In this treat holder Mentos fit perfectly inside of it.  With all of our treat holders, we gave them the candy to put in them, so they didn't have to go get it themselves.  Also, with each kit, they got a surprise from us.  With this kit the got the beautiful Glittered Organdy Ribbon from the annual catalog.

I think it was a couple of years ago that Stampin' Up! had the test tubes in one of their catalogs.  Well, for some reason I thought I needed to buy boxes and boxes of them.  This was a perfect time to use them!  I still have a bunch left.  LOL

For each of our kits, we picked a suite and used that for all of our projects, with the exception of sometimes using an additional stamp set.

Here are all the products we used for this kit.  If you would like to purchase any of the supplies I used for any of the projects, just click on the picture below.

This picture makes me so happy!  When I look at it, I smile, I laugh and my heart is filled with joy.  On Saturday, I had my first ever retreat.  I called it Holiday Extravaganza since all the projects were created from the Stampin' Up! 2019 holiday catalog.  Robin and I along with 21 friends and family, created 23 different projects.

Come back on Wednesday to see the projects we made in the first kit - Halloween.  I will have more pictures of the room too.

I am going to be doing something totally different in my Facebook live tonight at 7:00pm EST on my Stampin Scrapper page.  I hope you can join me to see what it is.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Have a marvelous Monday!

Happy Fall Friday!!!  It finally feels like Fall here in Ohio.  I can't wait to open up my windows and get fresh air in the house.

Today I have a fast and easy triangular treat box to share with you.  I used the Monster Bash designer series paper and To Every Season stamp set.  I saw this project on Pinterest, created by Julie DiMatteo, and it caught my eye right away.   It was a different shaped box and I wanted to know how she made it.  I love learning new 3D projects, especially treat holders.
