What do you do when you need a kids birthday card in a hurry?  You reach for the Dino Days stamp set, Dino dies (you can get both as a bundle and save 10%) and the adorable Dinoroar designer series paper.  Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! You know how I made this card in a hurry?  For the dinosaurs, I used the Dino dies to cut out the dinosaurs on the designer series paper.  How easy is that?!  I, then stamped the sentiment and yellow design on the base of the card.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Well Said stamp set with Memento ink on Pool Party cardstock.

If you purchase the Dino Days Bundle (Dino Days stamp set and Dino dies) you can get the Dinoroar designer series paper for FREE!!!  The designer series paper is on the third release of Sale-A-Bration.  You have until March 31st, or while supplies last, to get the paper FREE (with a $50 product purchase).  Get more details at the end of this post.

My little angel loved his card and so do I!

It is Friday!!!  Do you have any projects you are going to work on this weekend?   I am going to work on cleaning some closets and work in my craft room.  I figure since we can't go anywhere I might as well get some cleaning done that I have been wanting to do for a long time.

For more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects, go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman My nephew has two boys that are really into Pokemon.  So, for their birthdays I made them each this adorable Pokemon card.  I really like how it came out.

I looked online to see if I could find directions on how to make one and and I came across this one created by Caroline Bennie.  I love a challenge and figuring out what punches to use was a challenge.  All but one of the punches I used are retired.  I used the following punches:

  • 1 3/8" oval - retired
  • small oval - retired
  • 3/4" circle - retired
  • owl - retired
  • 1/2" circle
  • what's up (arrow) - retired

I used the Basic Black Stampin Marker to draw the lines by the mouth.  I did cut the Daffodil Delight base for the card at 4" x 6" and scored it at 3" so it would fit in a medium envelope.  I also used Basic Black, Real Red and Whisper White cardstock.

I haven't done punch art in a long time.  I didn't realize how much I enjoy doing it until I worked on this card.  I am going to have to make more projects using punch art.

Have a wonderful Wednesday and thank you for stopping in today!

Mr. Wonderful's Birthday Card - Country Club Suite

StampinUpCountryClubSuiteStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman2

When Robin and I went to a Stampin' Up! event in November, we got to see the 2020 mini catalog.  As soon as we both saw the Country Club suite we knew we had to get it.  Especially, since both of our husbands love to golf.  At the events, they have demonstrators present their creations using a new product from the new catalog.   I can't remember the name of the person who presented at our event, but she made this card.  We both fell in love with it immediately!

I always have extra cards, for different occasions, in my studio that I can grab when I need a card in a hurry.  At my Stamp A Stack class, we made 5 different cards so the attendees could also have cards ready to use at anytime.  We made multiples of birthday, feminine and masculine, sympathy, get well and congratulations cards.  On Friday I shared the masculine birthday card we made.  If you missed it, check it out HERE.  For the congratulations card, we made the above card, where  I used the Beautiful Friendships stamp set.

StampinUpBeautifulFriendshipStampinScrapperJoyceWhitmanThis is also the stamp set that I used on Emily's shower invites.  I am not sure why I waited so long to order this stamp set, because I love it!

I adhered the diagonal piece of Soft Suede cardstock on top of the Night of Navy piece and then embossed it with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.  I cut out the Crumb Cake circle using the Layering Circle dies and then stamped it.  It is totally different than what I usually say to do.  The reason is, that it is easier to see where you need to stamp the images.

Yesterday I had a workshop for one of my friends and it was so much fun!  At my workshops we create some projects, learn a new technique and have fun spending time together.  One thing I do is make a thank you gift for the host.  I am so appreciative of her having her friends over to craft.  The above picture is the Mini Magazine and cards that I made for Linda as my thank you gift.

When Linda told me her favorite color was red, I immediately thought of the Peaceful Poppies suite.  I started with making the Mini Magazine Holder first and then made the cards.  I wanted to use the other designs of paper from the Peaceful Poppies designer series paper pack on the cards.  All the designs are so pretty.  I wanted them to be simple and easy to make.

StampinUpPaintedPoppiesMiniMagazineHolderWithCardsStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman11I made one of the cards to match the paper I used on the holder.  I then used the Poppy Moments dies to create the flower and leaf for the outside of the holder.  There is another flower on the other side of the holder.

Here is the video I did during my Facebook Live on how to make the mini magazine holder.

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!  I saw this card, created by the talented Leanne Dunn, online and fell in love with it.  I loved how she put the layers all the way over to the left and the simplicity of it.  She only used ink, paper, stamps and a little bit of ribbon.  I loved it so much, I didn't change a single thing.  I made it just like she did.

On the inside of the card, I used a small piece of designer series paper on the bottom of the Whisper White piece.  I had a bunch of the 3/4" pieces sitting on my craft table and was trying to figure out what I was going to do with all of them.  I am going to have to remember to do that on other projects.  I really like it.
