I love babies and kids! That is probably why I have had a daycare for over 32 years. LOL When I saw this stamp set in the Stampin' Up! annual catalog I knew it had to be on my first order. I have a little angel that when she comes in every morning, she is a different animal.  Her two favorite animals to be are the lion and bear.  So, this stamp set was perfect for when her little sister was born.

This card may look a little familiar to you, it is on page 55 in the annual catalog.  When I made the card, I was actually making it for a dual purpose.  I made it for my new little angel, but I also made one for my catalog kick off.  I wanted to share the Wildly Adorable stamp set with everyone, but I also wanted to share that you can get a lot of inspiration, ideas, tips or to case (create and share everything) a card from the catalog.

I am not sure who the creator of this card is, but I love it and so did my daycare family.

It's the weekend! I hope all of you have a great Friday and a fun and relaxing weekend.  Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by.

Sending lots of love and hugs to everyone!

Happy Stampin!

I haven't made a baby card in a while, so when I needed one I was so excited!  I made this card using the Animal Outing stamp set and coordinating Animal Friends Thinlits.  You can get both of these as a bundle and save 10%!

I had a really crazy day the day I made this card and coloring relaxes me.  So, I grabbed my blends and started coloring.  These two, or should I say three, little guys are so cute!  It was fun to bring them to life with color.  On the koala bear and giraffe I used the light and dark Smoky Slate blends.  Also on the giraffe I used the the light and dark Daffodil Delight and dark Soft Suede.  For the kangaroo I used the light and dark of the Crumb Cake and Soft Suede.

Cardstock:

Call Me Clover

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Crumb Cake

  • cut at 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"

Whisper White

  • cut at 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • scraps for the animals

Wood Textures 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

I fussy cut these out because I totally forgot I had the thinlits for them.  Grrrr.  I used the sentiment from the same stamp set, Animal Outing.  I added the leaf ribbon, which is out of this world!  I do have a tip for you on how to adhere it to your projects.  Put a glue dot on each of the leaves and it will hold it perfectly and you won't see the adhesive.

I must first apologize for the delay in blogging this last week.  I typed up my post for Thursday, everything was set to go and I went to save it and my post disappeared.  I totally lost it!  I couldn't believe it.  I didn't have time to redo the whole thing again as Robin and I were trying to get things done for my Catalog Launch party on Saturday.

I had ever intention on Saturday evening sitting down and writing a post about my party, but I was so tired that I couldn't even think straight.  Life has taken over my last two days and so, here I am a week later getting to a post.  I think when you look at my card for CASEing Tuesday this week, you will agree it was worth the wait.

Have you ever made a card and have fallen in love with it? I am that way with this card.  I love, love, love the Leaf Ribbon that goes with the Animal Expedition Suite.  It is so pretty and different from any ribbon we have had since I became a demonstrator.

Here is our inspiration card this week:

I had so much fun coloring him with the Smoky Slate Stampin Blends markers.  I used the Old Olive for the grass and a combination of Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral for the bird.

Here are the measurements of the paper I used on this card:

Cardstock:

Smoky Slate

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Basic Gray

  • cut at 3 1/4" x 4"

Whisper White

  • 3 1/8" x 3 7/8"
  • 4" x 5 1/4"
  • scrap for 1 1//4" circle

Call Me Clover

  • scrap for 1 3/8" scalloped circle

When I first laid my ribbon on this card I was trying to figure out what was the best way to adhere this to the card. I tried different types of glue, but came to the realization that Glue Dots worked perfect!  I adhered them to the leaves and then laid it right where I wanted it on the card.  This ribbon is so awesome!  I hope Stampin' Up! makes more ribbon like this in the future!

This time I stamped the image on the back of my envelope.  I think I am going to have to do that more often.  I also stamped the same image on the inside of my card.  I wasn't sure about not coloring the images on the envelope and inside the card.  What do you think?  Would you color or leave it as is?

I sure hopes my friend likes her thank you note, I sure do!

A Little Bit Of Old And A Little Bit Of New (CT #148)

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! A Little Wild #144344, Happy Celebrations #143012. Swirly Frames #146519, Stampin Blends, Color Theory DSP, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Today's card is one I made for my niece's sons first birthday.  I used a little bit of old, A Little Wild and Happy Celebrations stamp sets and Color Theory designer series paper with a little bit of new, Swirly Frames stamp set.  When I saw the Swirly Frames stamp set at Stampin' Up! OnStage I really liked it. I kept thinking about all the possibilities with this set.  Then during prize patrol I won this set!  I was so excited!

The Happy Celebrations stamp set is one that is retiring and it is now while supplies last.  This stamp set, along with all the retiring products, are while supplies last and will no longer be available after May 31st.

I got my inspiration for this card from my CASEing Tuesday group.  Here is the picture that is our inspiration this week.

29595125_10213132084831134_3353432007716270686_n

For the animals I stamped them first with Memento Black ink, then I colored them with our Stampin Blends markers.  I used the Crumb Cake, Bronze and Smoky Slate.  These will be available for purchase on June 1st.  Since I only wanted the front of the animals I only inked up that part of my stamp and then cut them out with the Little Loves Framelits.  You will have to do a little trimming to cut off the part that connects to the other side.  These stamps are made to make gift tags, so there is the front and back of the animals.

To do the frame I stamped the frame image onto Crumb Cake cardstock using Soft Suede ink and then fussy cut it out.  I stamped the Happy sentiments with Soft Suede ink and the Birthday To You with Crushed Curry ink on Whisper White cardstock.  To adhere the frame to the Whisper White cardstock I used our Foam Adhesive Strips.  They were the perfect size for this project.  I then used the adhesive strips to attach the animals so they were all at the same height.

I stamped a lion in the inside of my card and an elephant on the outside of the envelope.

I hope these CASEing Tuesday projects and my other projects give you inspiration to create a card, scrapbook page, 3D project or any other type of project.  I would love it if shared it with me in the comments.  I love hearing from all of you.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a terrific week!

A Good Day with Tutti Frutti

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! A Good Day stamp set #145873, Tutti Frutti Cards and Envelopes #147242, 1 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch #146139, Classic Label Punch #141491 created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Do you need a fast and simple card?  I have a perfect one for you today.  If you have been reading my blog, you know I love the Tutti Frutti cards and envelopes.  Well, today I used them in a little bit of a different way than the normal card base.

Today, I cut up the Calypso Coral and Pool Party card bases and added them to a base from Calypso Coral cardstock.  This way, I will get more cards out of this awesome set.

The sentiment and little bird came from the A Good Day stamp set in the Occasions catalog.  Did you see the scalloped circle behind the bird?  That is made from the new 1 3/8" Scalloped Circle punch that is on the same page as the stamp set.  There is also a 1 1/8" scalloped circle punch available.

To make this project you will need the following products:

Cardstock:

Calypso Coral

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Pool Party

  • piece of scrap for the 1 3/8" scallop circle

Whisper White

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • scrap for the sentiment and 1 1/4" circle punch

Tutti Frutti Cards and Envelopes

  • cut the Calypso Coral at 4" x 5 1/4
  • cut the Pool Party at 1" x 5 1/4"

I used the Blends markers to color the little bird.  These have been so popular that Stampin' Up! hasn't been able to get them in fast enough to keep up with the demand.  To help with backorders and to make sure everyone who wants them gets them, they are not going to be available to purchase until the new Annual Catalog in June.  If you have used them, you understand why they are so popular.  If you haven't, you will have to try them when they are available again.  I absolutely love them!  I am really hoping that when they are in the new catalog, there will be more colors.

StampinUpAGoodDaystampsetTuttiFrutticardsandenvelopes2018SaleABrationStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman4

The first thing I did to make this card was adhere the Pool Party strip to the Calypso Coral printed paper.  I went up about 3/4 of an inch from the bottom.  I then wrapped the 3/8" Classic Weave Ribbon around the above pieces and had it lay half way on the Pool Party strip and half on the Calypso Coral and tied it in a knot.  Adhere all of that to the Calypso Coral Base.

I stamped the little bird and the sentiment from the A Good Day stamp set, using the Memento ink, and punched them out with the Classic Label Punch and the 1 1/4" Circle Punch.  The bird and sentiment are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I added one medium Rhinestone at the end of the sentiment for some bling.

The little bird is also stamped on the inside of the card and on the envelope.  You never send out a naked envelope (per Shelli, the co founder of Stampin' Up!).

I do want to give credit to Ronda Wade for her design of this card.  We made this card along with a couple of other ones when I was at Ronda's Leadership Conference in February.

Thank you for stopping in today.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Waterfront Masculine Card (CT #133)

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Waterfront Stamp Set #146386, Occasions Catalog 2018, True Gentleman Designer Series Paper #145593, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

It is CASEing Tuesday!!! I had fun creating this card for this weeks post.  I have used the Waterfront stamp set from the occasions catalog and the Sweet Cupcake stamp set from the annual catalog.  Here is the picture of the card that we used for our inspiration for this weeks projects.

27072319_10212608460060842_3867039514148694102_n

To make this card you will need the following products:

Crumb Cake Cardstock #120953

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Very Vanilla Cardstock#101650

  • cut at 1/2" x 2 1/4"
  • cut at 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

True Gentleman Designer Series Paper #145593

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

To make the card I first started with stamping the mountains with Chocolate Chip ink.  I stamped the mountains on the sides full strength ink and the middle mountain stamping off first.  I then stamped the water with Dapper Denim ink.  I stamped the first image right under the mountains full strength and then kept stamping without reinking my stamp.  The trees are stamped with the Dapper Denim ink and again I did some full strength and some stamped off.

To color the sky, I first punched out a 1" circle and light adhered it to the Very Vanilla paper where I wanted the moon to be.  I used the Soft Sky ink all over the area above the mountains.  I then used Dapper Denim, being careful to leave a small area right above the mountains untouched.  The I lightly sponged on Tranquil Tide and finished it off with Night of Navy ink, again very light.  I took off the circle and used the piece of paper that I punched the circle out of to cover up the area around the sun.  I used the Daffodil Delight ink and covered the circle.

I love when a card comes out the way you have it pictured in your mind.

The Cutest Little Hedgehog

Stampin Up, Stampin Up Painted Harvest #144783, A Little Wild #144344, Foxy Friends #141549, Butterfly Basics #137154, Stitched Shapes Framelits #145372, Leaf Punch #144667, Pinewood Planks embossing folder #143708, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Is he not the cutest little hedgehog?  Do you know what Stamp set he is made from?  The Painted Harvest!  I love how that stamp set is so versatile!  You can make sunflowers, sunsets, sunrises, Christmas wreaths and hedgehogs, just to name a few.

I will admit this card I used a lot of different products on.  I usually try not to use more than 2, sometimes 3 stamp sets on a project and this one I used four.  I used the Painted Harvest for his head, Foxy Friends for his face, Butterfly Basics for the sentiment and A Little Wild for the grass.  You can easily use other stamp sets that you have to make him.  The only one that I feel is the most important is the Painted Harvest.  That gives you a great foundation to work from.

To make this project you will need the following products:

Early Espresso Cardstock #119686

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 2 7/8" x 2 7/8"

Crumb Cake Cardstock #120953

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Pear Pizzazz Cardstock #131201

  • cut at 2" x 5 1/2"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 3" x 3"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Wood Textures Designer Series Paper #144177

  • cut at 1 3/4" x 4"

I made this card a little different than I usually do.  On the small white piece of paper I stamped my sentiment near the bottom of the paper.  You want to make sure you leave enough room for the Stitched Shapes (Square) Framelit to cut.  I then cut it out it with the framelit without doing any of the other stamping.  The reason is, I wanted to make sure I had enough room for both the sentiment and hedgehog.  With stamping the image first and then cutting it, I knew how much room I had to stamp the hedgehog.  The Painted Harvest stamp set is photopolymer so you can see exactly where you are stamping which makes it so nice!

Before you stamp your hedgehog you have to put a piece of post it note paper where you want the line to be for him to be peeking over.  Keep the paper there until you are totally done stamping him.  I first stamped the big flower stamp in Painted Harvest with Crumb Cake ink that I stamped off first.  Then the small flower stamp with Soft Suede ink.  To make sure I had enough room to stamp his face, I made sure that the center of the stamp (the circle) was a little above my post it note.  When you are done with these steps you can remove your post it note.

The face was stamped with a stamp from the Foxy Friends stamp set in Early Espresso ink.  The grass I used Pear Pizzazz and a stamp from the A Little Wild stamp set.  I punched out the leaves using the Pear Pizzazz cardstock with the Leaf Punch that was carried over from the Holiday catalog.

The background is made with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder and then I added a strip of paper from the Wood Textures designer series paper.  Another very versatile product.  So many things you can do with wood paper.

I popped up the Early Espresso square so the leaves could fit better underneath of it.

I know this was a lot of different steps for this card.  I hope I explained all of them to you that you can now make this card for yourself.   If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

A Little Wild (CT #130)

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! A Little Wild stamp st #144344, Sheltering Tree #137163, CASEing Tuesday #130, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas and scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I thought I was doing so good over the weekend.  I finished things for my team meeting on Wednesday night, finished my projects and everything else for my 3D class on Friday and worked on things for my open house, which is on Saturday.  Last night I went to write my blog for CASEing Tuesday today and realized I made the wrong card.  I made the one for next week!  At least I have next week's card done.

Here is the picture we used for inspiration this week.

26166825_10212422173843803_5702939114840474404_n

This is a card that I quickly made last night for the correct CASing Tuesday!  Needless to say, this is going to be a short post.

To make this card you will need the following products:

Tutti Frutti Cards & Envelopes #147242

  • I used the Daffodil Delight one - these are from Sale-A-Bration

Soft Sky Cardstock #131203

  • scrap for 1 3/8" circle

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 3 1/4" x 3 3/4"
  • cut at 2" x 6"
  • scrap for the 1 1/4" circle

Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper #144143

  • 3 1/2" x 4"

Did you notice the Tutti Frutti Card base?  You can get these for FREE!!!  How, you ask?  For every $50 you order in product, before tax and shipping, you get a FREE product from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  This great sale is going on from now until March 31, 2018.

I used the grass stamp from the Sheltering Tree stamp set and the Pear Pizzazz ink on the bottom section of the white paper.  I stamped it a little higher in the middle, like a little hill, for the elephant.  Otherwise, he looked like he was flying in the air.  LOL  I also used the Memento Ink to stamp the cute little animals because I knew I wanted to color them with the Blends markers.  The Blends are alcohol based, so you have to use the Memento ink with them.  The more I use the markers, the more I love them!

I wanted to soften the white paper on the top section, so I took Soft Sky ink and lightly sponged the white area.  I then went around the edges of the paper, except where I stamped the grass.

Here are the colors I used for each animal:

1.  Lion - Crumb Cake - light and dark and Bronze

2.  Elephant - Smoky Slate - light and dark

3.  Bear - Crumb Cake - light and dark

I have the animals and the sentiment popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Moon Baby Cards

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Moon Baby stamp set #143085, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I wanted to share with today a stamp set I haven't used in a very long time, Moon Baby.  I found this card created by Julie DeGuia on Pinterest and loved how easy it is to make.  This is a great card you can make for a girl or boy just by changing the colors of the card stock and the color of the outfit on the baby.

To make this project you will need the following products:

Whisper White Cardstock #100730  for both cards

  • cut at 1 1/4" x 2 1/4"
  • cut at 2" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 1 1/2" x 7"  for the clouds

I started out with stamping all the images using the Memento ink as I was going to use our new Blends markers for the coloring.  The markers I used on both cards are the Daffodil dark and light markers.  For the boy card I used Bermuda Bay light and dark markers and for the girl I used the Pink Pirouette light and dark markers.

The clouds I punched out using the Tree Builder Punch.  I love how our products can be used for so many different things.  I then took Soft Sky ink and sponged it all around the edges of the clouds to give them a little distinction from the white on the card.

The sentiment was cut out using the Layering Oval Framelits.  The only thing I popped on these cards are the clouds.  Here is a picture of the inside of the card and I put the same thing on my envelope.

A Little Wild Baby Card

stampin up, Stampin Up! A Little Wild stamp set #144344, Little Loves Framelits #143743, Ruffled 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #143699, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I needed to make two baby cards, one for my niece and one for one of my customers, who is also a good friend of mine.  Patty, my niece had a little boy and Brittany had a little girl.  I was a little late getting these out, the babies were already a month old, because I was waiting for this stamp set to come.  The minute I saw this stamp set, I knew I wanted to get it.

I was on Pinterest and saw this lay out created by Nadine's Stampin Club and fell in love.  I loved it so much, I made 3 different cards using the same layout.  You can see all three at the bottom of this post.

One thing I like about this stamp set is you can use it for other things besides a baby card.  You could use it for an older child, someone who loved elephants (like my daughter, Emily), lions or bears.  You can also use them for other occasions.

At OnStage in April there was a presentation done using this stamp set and they wrote the following quotes on the inside of the card. Elephant - I am a little behind.  Happy Belated Birthday   Bear - please come back and stamp with me again  Lion - thanks for having my back.  Don't you just love them!

To make this card you will need the following products:

Chocolate Chip Cardstock #102128

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
  • cut at 1" x 3 1/8"

So Saffron Cardstock #105118

  • cut at 3 1/8" x 4 3/8"

Whisper White Cardstock #100730

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
  • cut at 3 1/4" x 4 1/2"
  • cut at 2" x 4"

I used the Ruffles 3D Embossing Folder on the So Saffron cardstock. One thing you need to do with the paper when you use the 3D embossing folders is spritz it with water.  You want to dampen the fibers of your paper, it will give it a better impression.

I stamped my image with Chocolate Chip ink and then used the Watercolor Pencils to color in my image. To get the blended in look I used the Blender Pens.  Below is a picture of the bear so you can see it better on how I did the coloring.

This is the inside of the card.  Did you notice the back of the bear on the left hand side.  In this stamp set your bears are connected, the front and back images, so you have to cut them apart.  There is matching framelits, Little Love, and you can get it as a bundle and save 10%.

I used the back on the inside of the card.  I stamped the bee hive and bees on the card and on the envelope.

We had a wonderful time in Texas.  We got her all moved into her new apartment.  Oh my goodness, it is so beautiful.  I love all the natural light she gets from all of the windows.  Her pool area looks like it is at a resort.

While we were there, we also got to do some fun things.  One day we went to the Houston Zoo, which was so nice.  Emily, Erica and myself got to feed the giraffes.  I loved it!  They are so graceful and gentle when they take the lettuce out of your hand.  Below is a picture of the tiger I took.  Look how beautiful his eyes are.

This is a picture of one of the giraffes that we were feeding.  Mark has a video of us feeding them, but I forgot to get it from him.
