I needed thank you cards for my customers and wanted to feature some of the retiring products from the Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 annual catalog. I wanted an easy card that I could use the beautiful Ornate Garden specialty designer series paper.

I used two stamp sets, Good Morning Magnolia for the thanks and the Ornate Style stamp set for the flower.  I used Mint Macaron ink on the Mint Macaron cardstock.

I stamped the Thanks using Mint Macaron ink and then used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch to punch out the left hand side.  I adhered it to the designer series paper and trimmed it even with the Early Espresso cardstock.

I have had this kit on my shelf for a long time and finally made it.  Why did I wait so long?  I love these kits so much, that I have already ordered two more of them.  This kit is absolutely gorgeous!  The colors are so rich and elegant.  This kit along with the coordinating stamp set, Gorgeous Posies, is on the retirement list.

You know me and how I can't make anything the way it is suppose to be made.  I had so much fun creating these alternative cards.

This kit has enough supplies to make 16 cards with envelopes.  I made 5 of them as get well cards.  I love the font on the sentiments from the Gorgeous Posies stamp set.  This stamp set is made to coordinate with the project kit, but you could definitely use a stamp set you already have.

The cards above are the 6 that I made as birthday cards.  My favorite is the bottom one where I cut the top layer in three sections.  I added some cardstock to some of the cards and embellishments to a lot of them.

These three cards are perfect to send to a friend.  My favorite out of these cards is the one on the top left hand side.  I love the diagonal cut.

I don't like to make these cards, but when I do, I want to make them beautiful.  These are so pretty, that I am going to make more sympathy cards from my other two kits.

153131

Look all the beautiful pieces in this kit. Did I mention that you get a beautiful box, bottom right hand corner, to keep all of your cards in.  This kit would be great to make for someone and give it to them as a gift.  All you have to do is use one of the cards as a card for them and then give the box to them.  You don't even have to wrap it, it is so pretty.

The cards above are the way the kit is designed to be made.

I can't wait to make my other two kits.  What are you going to do with your kits?

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have a terrific Thursday.

Sending lots of love and hugs to everyone.

Last weekend I had my first online bingo night and it was so much fun! It was so wonderful being able to craft with old and new friends.  I am very thankful for Zoom.

Between playing bingo games, we made 4 cards using the Well Suited Suite from the 2021 Stampin' Up! January - June catalog.  This suite is perfect for masculine cards.  I know I always need masculine cards and I am pretty sure so does everyone else.

When I was on Facebook, I saw this card on the Stampin' Up! page.  It was created by a talented member of the Stampin' Up! Artisan team.  I fell in love with it and knew I wanted to make it.   I used one of the dies in the Suit and Tie dies and the Well Suited designer series paper.

I saw this layout a while ago and have been wanting to make it.  I thought it was such a great masculine card.  You could also make it a feminine card just by changing the designer series paper.

I also made some alternative cards to show everyone different ways you can use this wonderful suite.  Above are three of the cards that I shared with my class.  Of course, I had to make a Minnie Mouse card.  LOL

StampinUpHandsomelySuitedBingoClassStampinUpStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman16

When I saw this pattern in the designer series paper pack, I immediately thought it would be great on a baby card.  The card is a little wider than a normal size envelope.  How was I going to make it so you could send it.  Then I remembered that we had made a gift bag with a card on it at my Holiday Extravaganza.  This is perfect when you want to give a gift and card for a new little angel.

I had so much fun creating the projects and sharing them in my class. Which one is your favorite?

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a great Friday!

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! I love being a part of this wonderful blog hop with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world.  Each month we share different crafting ideas with all of you!  Today we are showcasing retiring products from the 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! annual catalog, along with a technique!  I decided I was going to try a new technique that I just heard about.  Why I haven't seen or heard of it before, I do not know! One of my friends/downline asked if I had ever heard of the Joseph's Coat Technique.  I had not, but I sure wanted to find out about it.  So, off to YouTube I went.  Wow!!!  It is so cool and so fun to do.  There are endless possibilities with this technique.

Since we are showcasing retired products, I decided challenged myself.  I could only use retiring products on this card and I did!  I used the beautiful Gorgeous Posies stamp set, four of the  2019-2021 In Colors, Pretty Peacock, Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray and Terracotta Tile.  I also used the Timeless Label punch and the beautiful Seaside Spray Metallic ribbon, which I am going to miss.  I am sure glad I bought a bunch of the ribbon a long time ago.  The Seaside Spray is actually one of my daughter's colors for her wedding.

Tulips and Easter just go together!  When I think of tulips the thought of Spring and Easter comes to my mind.  This year for my Easter cards I used the Timeless Tulips stamp set from the Stampin' Up! annual catalog.  I was so excited when I saw that this stamp set was going to be in the new annual catalog.

Everywhere you look when you go in to stores, you will see the color purple.  Which is okay with me!  I also wanted to use the beautiful Hydrangea Hill designer series paper.  I did use a retired stamp set for the sentiment.

On this card I stamped the tulips with the Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green inks and added Wink of Stella to the flowers and leaves.

On my second card I stamped the tulips with the Gorgeous Grape ink and the leaves and stems with the Granny Apple Green ink.  I couldn't decide which ink to use, so I was using both of them. I then added Wink of Stella to the flowers.  Look how they have a pinkish tint to them.  It was so weird when I put it the Wink of Stella on them, how it changed the color.  It was also really neat watching how it changed the color.

Here is a picture with both cards together, so you can see them next to each other.  Look how the top one (stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink) has pink in it.  The bottom card was the one stamped with the Highland Heather ink and there was no change to it. Crazy! I tell ya, just crazy!  But cool at the same time.

I added the beautiful Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon around the card and tied a bow.  I used the ribbon to hold the card closed.

I hope you enjoyed my projects today. Which one you like best?  Comment below and let me know.  I would love to hear your thoughts on both of them.

Flowering Blooms Using Stampin' Blends

Fullsizeoutput_206d

When I was out shopping this past weekend, I couldn't believe how many times I saw the color purple. It was in every store that I went into.  I wonder if there is going to be a purple in the new In Colors?

StampinUpFloweringBloomsStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman

I used the beautiful stamp set Flowering Blooms from the Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 annual catalog.  I knew I wanted this set as soon as I saw it, because I love to color.  I knew I could use so many different colors with it. I finally got a chance to play with it when I made this for my friend's birthday.

StampinUpFloweringBloomsStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman4

I stamped the image in Memento ink and then colored the flower with the Highland Heather Stampin' Blends and the leaves I used the Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blend.  Did you notice the purple ribbon?  If you look in our catalog you will notice that we didn't have a solid purple ribbon.  So I made my own!

You can use any of our Stampin' Blends to color our ribbons.  That way, if you don't have the color you need you can make one to  match your project.  For this card I used the Silver Metallic Edge ribbon and the Highland Heather Stampin' Blend.  I did go over it two times to get the darker color that I wanted.

StampinUpFloweringBloomsStampinScrapperJoyceWhitman2

The designer series paper is from the Brights 6"x6" pack.  I love how the finished card turned out and hope you do too.

This box, Love You Always Treat box, is fun to decorate.  You can find this box in the Stampin' Up! January - June mini catalog. This box is smaller but deeper than the above box.  What is fun about this box is that the inside slides out.  I like to use this box for when I am giving someone a gift card.  The gift card fits perfect and it makes it look special.  Who doesn't love to receive a pretty gift box!

To decorate this Love You Always Treat box I used the following products:

  • Hydrangea Hill stamp set
  • Gorgeous Grape cardstock

February.  Oh, February.  Where are you?  Does anyone know where February went?  I can not believe that today is the last day.  Does anyone else feel like it was a blur?

I don't like to make sympathy cards, I don't think anyone does, but when I do, I want the card to be cheerful. The recipient is already going through so much, that I want to bring a little bit of sunshine into their day.   More importantly, I want them card to know that the card is filled with lots of love, hugs and prayers.

I was playing around with the direction of the sentiment, and couldn't figure out which way I liked it best, so I ended up making two cards.  LOL  Isn't it amazing how a card can look so different, just by changing one thing!  Which one do you like the best?

When I was creating these cards. I wanted to use two of the Sale-A-Bration products.  The beautiful stamp set Heal Your Heart and the Flower and Field designer series paper.  I am really going to miss these products and will be keeping the Heal Your Heart stamp set on my shelf, so I can keep using it.

On Wednesday night I had my Pretty Perennial Class on my Stampin Scrapper Facebook page.  It was so much fun!  I haven't done a Facebook live in a long time.  I didn't realize how much I missed it, until I was doing this one.  I am definitely going to be doing more of them.

That is one of many things I love about Stampin' Up!  Everyone is so willing to share their ideas with everyone else.  I always tell people who want to make my projects that they are giving me the best compliment ever.  To have someone love your project so much they want to make it, it doesn't get much better than that.
