Last night I did my second Facebook Live and I loved it!  I am having so much fun doing them.  I hope you are enjoying them too.  If you missed it, it is further down on this post.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! The first project I made was the large gift card or embellishment holder.  I made these for my bingo attendees as part of their goodies for attending.  Inside each one there was a pack of the Heart Epoxy Droplets that are in the 2019 Occasions catalog.  I used the All My Love designer series paper along with the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets in the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  Both of the papers are so beautiful!  I tried my best to get good pictures of them to show you, but you will see them better in the video and even more in person.

This holder would work for a lot of the embellishments in the Stampin' Up! catalogs and also for a big gift card.  What I mean about a big gift card is the ones that come with packaging all around the gift card.  I didn't get a picture of the gift card with the holder as I thought of it as I was prepping for my Facebook live.  You will see the type of gift card I am talking about in the video.

To make this project you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

All My Love Designer Series Paper

  • cut at 5 3/4" x 8 1/2" score at 2 3/4" and 6 1/2" also score at 1/2" on bottom

Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets

  • cut at 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

To finish off this project I added three Rhinestones to the sentiment.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! All My Love designer series paper #148576, Be Mine Stitched framelits #148527, Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set #146667, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

The second project I made was for the Ghirardelli Caramel Duet Hearts candy.  I thought when I bought these that they were the normal size of Ghirardelli's, but they were a rectangle instead of a square.  I love to create my own boxes for things, so I was kinda happy that I needed to figure out one for this delicious candy!  I gave these to my ladies as their thank you gift for attending my Stamp A Stack class last weekend.

Young Boy Birthday Card using Geared Up Garage

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Geared Up Garage stamp set #148482, Garage Gears Thinlits #148521, Classic Garage Metal Elements #148485, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects, go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Any young boy would be happy to get this card for their birthday.  I made this card for my great nephew, who's birthday is next week.  All week you have seen me use the Geared Up Garage stamp set in different ways.  For this card, I used the stamp set again, however, I added another stamp set, Perennial Birthday, for the sentiment.

Did you notice the paper under the card?  It is a sheet from the Classic Garage 6" x 6" designer series paper!  Did you also notice the gears on the card are the same ones on the paper?  How cool is that!  Yesterday on my Stampin Scrapper Facebook page, I shared a tip on how to cut out the images on the paper.  If you didn't see it on my page, here it is.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! For the sentiment I first stamped the background image with a stamp from the Geared Up Garage stamp set.  I used the Gray Granite ink and stamped my image off on a scrap piece of paper first, before I stamped it on the Whisper White cardstock.  I then stamped the sentiment with Black Memento ink.  On the inside of the card and on my envelope I stamped the image you see in the picture above.  I, then popped the Real Red circle using Stampin Dimensionals and used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the gears.

To make this card you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock:

Crushed Curry

  • cut at 4 1/4" x 11" score at 5 1/2"

Basic Black

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Real Red

  • a piece of scrap paper for a 2" circle

Whisper White

  • a piece of scrap paper for the 1 3/4" circle
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

While I was editing my photos yesterday, I decided to play a little bit.  I have never done a picture in a shape other than a square or rectangle.  This time I decided to try a circle.    I have to say, I like it.

In this picture I love how bright the colors are.  This card is such a bright and cheery card, that you really could use it for anyone's birthday.

In the Sale-A-Bration brochure there is foil paper in the colors of Grapefruit Grove and Lovely Lipstick.  This paper is so pretty!  It is really hard to get the total effect of foil paper in pictures.  It is so much better in person!  I wish I could pull all of you through the computer so you could see it.

Embossing on Copper Tea Tins

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Spirited Snowmen stamp set #148072, Copper Tea Tins #147034, 5/8" Striped Burlap Trim #147889, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Do you need a fast gift box for a small gift?  Do you want to really impress the recipient of your gift?  I have the perfect solution for you!  You can emboss on the Copper Tea Tins in the annual catalog!

They are the perfect size for a small gift, a piece of jewelry, a gift card or to put little treats in.  I created more of these, with different designs, for some treats I was giving to friends and they were a big hit.  I forgot to take a picture of them before I gave them out.  One nice thing about these tins is, you can use these for any occasion, it doesn't have to be just for Christmas.

The first thing I did was use my Embossing Buddy and rubbed it all over the front of the tin.  I needed to make sure I got all the static off of it.  I then stamped it with Versa Mark and added white embossing powder.  I heated it with the Heat Tool, but be careful as the tin can get hot.  Once I had the embossing done, I used my Stampin Write Markers to color is some of the image.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! I hope you have enjoyed all of the Christmas projects that I have shared with you this season.  It has been so much fun creating them!

Emily is on her way home this morning!!!  I can't wait to see her!  I am going to be taking next week off to spend with my family and relax.  I hope you will be able to have time with your family and get to enjoy this beautiful time of the year.  I have some things to share with you, so check back on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Have a great weekend and thank you for taking time to stop by!

I saved my best project for last the Merry Christmas Monday project of 2018!   I made my first shadow box card!  I saw a regular folded card made with the Winter Woods stamp set from the holiday catalog and they embossed the trees in white.  That got my creative juices flowing and I knew what I wanted to do, but I needed to figure out how.

I got on to YouTube and saw a tutorial from Dawn Griffith on how to do a shadow box card.  I watched her make one and went from there on how to design my card.  Thank you for Dawn for sharing your directions!

Isn't the side view so awesome!!!  I was so excited when I finished this card, that I had to run upstairs and show it to Mr. Wonderful and Erica.  I have to say, I think I impressed them with this card! Yay!!!  This card will lay flat so you can put it in a normal size envelope.

Here is a close up of the front of the card.  On this piece I stamped the trees with Versa Mark and then used Clear Embossing Powder to give them that shine.  On the inside of the card, I used Night of Navy ink to create the background and then used White Embossing Powder on the trees.

For my snow I did use the retired white velvet paper that was in the holiday catalog.  You could use the Sparkle Glimmer paper that is in the annual catalog.  I made this card about 2 months ago and the paper was available at that time.  It has been hard waiting share this card with all of you.  The trees in the Winter Woods are so beautiful.  It doesn't matter if you stamp them with ink, or emboss them with different embossing powders, they are still beautiful each and every time.   I am so excited that this stamp set is carrying over into 2019!

To make this card you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock:

Night of Navy

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 10 1/2" score at 1/2", 4". 4 1/2" and 8"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/2"

Whisper White

  • cut 2 at 3 1/4" x 5 1/4"

To cut the opening I used the Layering Square Framelits to create a rectangle.  In the new Occasions catalog there is Rectangle Stitched Framelits that I can't wait to try.  I used the Metallic Edge Ribbon in Whisper White to wrap around the front of the card.  I then took another piece of the ribbon and used it to tie a knot.

I really, really, enjoyed making this card and have already come up with ideas to make another one with this shadow box type of fold.

I hope you like the card I created and would love to hear your feedback on it.  Please let a comment below.  I ended up making this card for both our moms for their Christmas cards this year.   I know they are going to love it, because moms are suppose to love whatever we make.  Right?

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you are all finished with your Christmas shopping.  If not, I might see you out shopping later this week!

Dandelion Wishes Get Well Card

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Dandelion Wishes stamp set #146747, Created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects, go to Stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

It is so striking when you use white embossing powder for your stamped images against a darker color.  On this card I used the Dandelion Wishes stamp set and stamped it with Versa Mark ink.  I then added the white embossing powder and heat set.  It is so striking, which I tried to get in the picture, but it is hard to get the full effect.  Trust me, it is beautiful in person.

To add a little texture to the card, I added a piece of the Basic Gray cardstock (the same size as the front of the card) and embossed it with the Subtle Embossing Folder.  The first time I tried just embossing the front section of the card base, but I didn't like how it made the front of the card almost seem thin.  So, I decided to emboss a separate piece of paper and attach it to the front of the card.

Do you have any special plans for this weekend?  I am going to try and finish up my Christmas shopping and do my baking this weekend.  Every year I make goodie bags for each daycare family.  I usually put between 10-12 different goodies in their bags.  They look forward to it each year.  Tonight I am finishing up my mother-in-laws famous nut roll.  It takes me two days to make it, but it is so worth it!  Do you have a favorite recipe you make each year?

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a terrific weekend!
