New at SU - Tidings of Christmas Suite Card and Gift Card Holder
06/09/2021
Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! I love being a part of this wonderful blog hop with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world. Each month we share different crafting ideas with all of you! This month our theme is our favorite suite in the new Stampin' Up! annual catalog.
I was wondering, or should I say hoping, if Stampin' Up! was going to have any new Christmas stamp sets and/or suites in the new annual catalog. When I saw the Tidings of Christmas suite on page 88 & 89, I was so excited. I start my Christmas card classes in August, so I am very happy that I will have new products to create with for my first class.
For my project this month, I wanted to make a Christmas card and gift card holder. I originally thought I would be making two different projects, but when I saw a corner fold card that was also a gift card holder onlline, I knew this was what I wanted to make. I don't know about you, but I give a lot of gift cards for birthdays, Christmas and other occasions, so this card design will be perfect.
This is the inside of the card without the gift card inside the pocket. Now you could see how I decorated the inside of the card, especially the backside of where the gift card goes. I love the Tidings of Christmas designer series paper. There are 12 different designs in the 6" x 6" pack, which gives you so many possibilities!
To decorate my card, I stamped the sentiment in Sahara Sand ink and cut it out using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I added a little bit of color with the cutouts from the Christmas Trimmings dies using Cherry Cobbler and Soft Succulent cardstock. I finished off the card by adding a bow made with the beautiful Chevron Weave ribbon in Evening Evergreen.
To make this project you will need the following paper. For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cherry Cobbler:

If you are taking the time to make a corner-flip card, you may as well tuck in a gift card on the back! Smart thinking, Joyce!
