New At SU - Banner Year With Stitched Leaves Dies
10/14/2020
Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are showcasing Fall Festivities. When I think of Fall, I think of the leaves changing colors.
I had to cut out a bunch of leaves from the beautiful Plaid Tidings for my Holiday Extravaganza that I had in September. I thought the negative of cutting the leaves was really neat. When I started thinking about my project for this blog hop, I knew right away I wanted to use it.
To make this project you will need the following paper. For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.
Cardstock:
Early Espresso
- cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
Bumblebee, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie
- cut at 2" x 2 1/2"
Whisper White
- cut at 1/2" x 3"
- cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
I used the Stitched Leaves Dies to cut out the leaves in the Bumblebee, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie cardstock. It is the same die that I used for the background. I then cut 11" of the Metallic ribbon in the Basket Weave/Metallic ribbon combo pack and tied it into a bow. The sentiment is from the Banner Year stamp set and was stamped using Early Espresso ink. I punched the right hand end with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch.

How cool to have the stitching around the leaves, too...That's a detail I missed the first time through. Your card makes me want to eat all the pumpkin spice and wear a sweater :)
