Fall Friday

UPDATED ON 9-12-2020 TO INCLUDE VIDEO

Welcome to my Fall Friday series!  I am so happy you stopped by to check out my first project this year.  I have never made an impossible box before, so I thought this was a great time to try it.  Surprisingly, it was easier to make than I thought I would be.

You might be asking what is an impossible box.  It is a treat box where the lid is attached to the bottom part of the box.  I had a lot of request for a video on how to make this project, which made my day!  On Saturday night I did a Facebook live showing how easy it is to make this box.  Here is the video.

To make this project you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock:

Early Epresso:

  • cut at 8" x 8 1/2"
  • on 8 1//2" side score at 2,4,6,8
  • on 8" side score at 2,5,6,7
  • scrap for 1 1/2" circle

Cajun Craze:

  • cut 4 at 1 7/8" x 1 7/8"
  • cut 4 at 1 7/8" x 7/8"
  • Scrap for leaf

Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron:

  • scrap for leaves

Very Vanilla:

  • scrap for 1 1/2" circle

Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper:

  • cut 4 at 1 3/4" x 1 3/4"
  • cut 4 at 1 3/4" x 3/4"

Here is a picture of what your paper will look like.  The areas colored in is where you will be cutting.

Love your project! It's fun to create things that are different! Do you have instructions how to create this? I see pieces that we need and the scoring, but not sure what to do to create the top part. I'd love to try to create one of these. Thank you so much!

Fawn

Ditto Deanette's request. Can we get instructions? Fun project as always Joyce!

Joyce Whitman

Hi Deanette and Fawn! Thank you so much for your kind words. I will look and see when I can do a Facebook live or video on how to make this. I will let you know by doing a blog post, so you will be notified. It will be within the next week.

Deanette Linville

Looking forward to learning how you created this project! Will be watching! Thank you so much!
