Happy Mother's Day Card
05/06/2020
For Mother's Day this year I made both my mom and my mother-in-law the same card. They both love birds, so I used the Free As A Bird stamp set. I also used the Timeless Tulips stamp set for the sentiment.
My card base is the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards that come in a beautiful tin (these are on the retirement list). The make a beautiful card with no work. I added a piece of the Balmy Blue cardstock to match the blue birds.
I colored the birds with Stampin Blends, which I love to use when I color. The colors I used are Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Soft Suede. The sentiment was stamped with Balmy Blue ink.
To make this project you will need the following paper. For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.
Cardstock:
Bird Ballad Laser Cut Cards
Balmy Blue
- cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Very Vanilla
- cut at 3" x 4 1/2"
I cut out the birds with the Stitched Rectangle dies and popped it up with Stampin Dimensionals.
I love seeing your ideas for ink colors. I can't wait to see more of them.
Here is the question for Week #1:
If you could name a Stampin' Up! color what would it be?
Remember you have until Wednesday, May 6th to answer this question on my Stampin Scrapper Facebook page. I can't wait to see all of your answers.
Thank you for stopping by today. It is hump day!!! Have a fabulous day.
Happy Stampin and
