My Mom's Birthday Card Using Good Morning Magnolia
04/27/2020
My mom's birthday was last week and I wanted to make her a special card. She turned 87 years old, which is a miracle. My mom was not suppose to live past 3 days old. Here she is 87 years later and outlived all of her 7 sisters. She is definitely a miracle!
Here is a picture of my beautiful mom and me at Emily's bridal shower in March.
I used Stampin' Up! Blends to do the coloring of the magnolias. I used Old Olive, Rococo Rose and Petal Pink. If you want any of the Blends individually, order now as they are on the retirement list as available for individual purchase. When the supplies run out or the new Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 annual catalog goes live on June 3rd, you will only be able to purchase them as a combo pack. In the combo pack you will get one dark and one light.
The above picture shows how the top flap of the card looks when you open the card. You will cut your paper as shown in the diagram below. You will then cut out the large magnolia flower and adhere to the top flap. It is such a striking and beautiful card. I know she is going to love it! I sure do.
When you open the card this is what the inside looks like. I had so much fun coloring the flowers on this card.
I added Wink Of Stella to give them a little bit of shine. I wanted them to really sparkle when she opened up the envelope. I used the Peaceful Moments stamp set for the sentiment.
To make this project you will need the following paper. For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.
