On Monday I shared with you my explosion box for the little Lindt snowman.  Today, I have a box for the really big snowman from Lindt.  I wanted to stay with the same designer series paper as I used on the first project, so I used the Let It Snow designer series paper.  I had already created this project before the paper went on the Close Out list from Stampin' Up!  This paper has sold out, but you can definitely use any designer series paper you have.

Merry Christmas Monday Week #5

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, Let It Snow designer series paper, Treat Box, Lindt Chocolate, Snowman, Christmas, Paper Crafting, Handmade, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce WhitmanThe box is created from one sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" and then you will need a smaller piece for the lid.

To make this project you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock:

Real Red

Box

  • start with 8 1/2" x 11"
  • on 8 1/2" side score at 2 1/2"
  • on 11" side score at 2 3/4", 5", 7 3/4" and 10"

Lid

  • cut at 4 3/8" x 4 7/8"
  • score at 1" on all sides

Here is a diagram of how to score and cut for the box.

You will cut on the score line from the side to the score line at 2 1/2".  Two of the sections (see above picture) are too long to fold together, so you need to trim them 1/4".  Then your box will fold nicely together.

For the lid you will cut on the score lines from the outside edge up to the 1" score line (where it says cut).  This will create the tabs for you to add adhesive and fold together to create the lid.
