At my catalog kick off event, I had a display of samples featuring the new Stampin' Up! 2019-2021 In Colors.  The above cards are one of the projects I made for my display.  I also had my attendees make the in color,  Terracotta Tile,  for one of their make and takes.

I added the coordinating 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon in Pretty Peacock.  I popped the layer over the ribbon and the daisy flower itself with Stampin Dimensionals.

Due to quality issues the Purple Posy ink pad and refill are not available.  You can use the 2019-2021 Stampin Write Markers to color your stamp before stamping.  If you do use your marker, do not forget to huff on your stamp before stamping.  By doing this you are keeping the ink wet so you get a better image.

On Wednesday I am going to have a card for you that coordinates with the above card.  I will be using the same stamp set, Daisy Lane and Daisy Punch.  Come back on Wednesday and check it out!

Thank you for stopping in.  I hope you have a great day and

At my monthly card class I always feature one stamp set and demonstrate how to use it in different ways.  This month it was the Sail Away stamp set, which I also used to make my treat holder.  The designer series paper is also from the Come Sail Away suite in the annual catalog.

To make this card you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Designer Series Paper:

  • cut at 3" x 5"
  • on 3" side score at 3/4"  and 2 1/4"
  • on 5" side score at 3/4", 1 1/2", 2 1/4", 3", 3 3/4" and 4 1/2"
  • cut at 1/2" x 2 1/2" for the handle

Cardstock

  • scrap piece for 2 - 1 1/4" circles

On Friday night I had my monthly card class and I featured the Come Sail Away Suite.  At this class we make 3 different cards using the same stamp set, framelits and designer series paper.  This is a great way to show how versatile our products are.  The above card is one of the cards we made in class.

Do you know where I got the layout for this card?  I had used it in another card with the same theme in May 2016.  I use the Open Sea stamp set.  Here is a picture of the card I originally made.

When Stampin' Up! has a new catalog it can only mean one thing.  Swap time!!!  By swapping, I mean you make a certain number of the same card and you send it to the organizer.  The organizer then send you back the same number of cards you sent in, but they are all different.  It is so much fun!

I used dimensionals under the top two layers since there is ribbon wrapped around them.  I then took another small piece of ribbon and tied a knot around the piece I wrapped around the cardstock.

My Facebook live this week was putting together the May Paper Pumpkin that was designed by Shelli, the co-founder of Stampin' Up!  This kit was so fun to play with!  I created 7 additional cards and still had supplies left over.

Actually, I ordered two kits, one for me to play with and one to share will all of you on my Facebook live.  After I made the cards from the kit, I had enough embellishments to make the same exact number of cards again.  The only things I used from the second kit were the card bases, the feathers and some of the flowers.  Everything else came from my first kit.  Imagine what you could do with the left overs.

I have to say I love the stamp set that is included in this kit.  The font is beautiful!

Here is the video on how to make all of the cards:

The only stamp set that I used that wasn't in the kit was the lighthouse from the Sailing Home stamp set.

At the bottom of this post  are the products that I added to create the cards in my video.

These are how the cards were designed to be made in the kit.

I am going to be doing a monthly Facebook live for Paper Pumpkin.  I will be honest with you and say that June's kit Facebook live will probably not be until July 8th.  I am going to be out of town a lot between the time I receive my kit and July 8th's Facebook live.

Here is information about June's Paper Pumpkin kit.

Care about someone?  Why not tell them?

Paper Pumpkin and Stampin' Up! are all about  sharing kindness through creativity.  As crafters we like to make a difference with our paper crafting, but sometimes we just don't have a card on hand when we need it the most.

Enter June's Paper Pumpkin kit!  You can share random acts of kindness whenever inspiration stricks - and in a fun and easy way.  Check out how to use the June kit to spread kindness in the video below.

I love to hand out little cards to people when I got out.  I give them to servers at the restaurant, to the person who makes my coffee, to my nail tech or my hair stylist. You can give them to whom ever you want.  I love to see their reaction when I give it to them.

Not a subscriber to paper pumpkin?  Now, is a great time to join!  You will get a pretty box in the mail each month with projects for you to create.  It comes with picture directions and all the supplies you need to create the projects, except adhesive.  You have two options when you subscribe.

  1. Pay As You Go - pay monthly with flexibility to suspend or cancel at anytime.
  2. Prepaid Subscription - you can get a  1, 3 6 ( save $1 a month) or 12 month (buy 11 get the 12th one FREE) subscription.  The longer you subscribe, the more you will save.
