I love to participate in swaps when a new catalog comes out. You get so many beautiful cards from very creative demonstrators from all over the world. The above card is one of the cards that I made for a swap I participated in.
In most swaps you use products from the new catalog, but for this swap the emphasis was designer series paper. Stampin' Up! has so many beautiful papers to chose from I wasn't sure what one to use. I wanted to do something different this time. I didn't want to just use a strip of paper. So, I went looking at my paper and in the Mosaic Mood designer paper pack there was a sheet that had beautiful roses all over it. Perfect!
I cut out each of the flowers and leaves using my Paper Snips from Stampin' Up! They are perfect for fussy cutting. They have a sharp point so you can get into the little places. The flowers on this sheet were not hard to cut out at all.
To make this card you will need the following paper. For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.
- cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
- cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
- cut at 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"
- cut at 4" x 5 1/4" for inside the card
I stamped the sentiment on the Very Vanilla cardstock, which I cut out with the Stitched Nestled die, before I adhered the roses. I then popped the rectangle with Stampin Dimensionals since you are going to layer it over ribbon.
It is hard to show it in a photo, but the roses have a simmer to them. There are sheets of paper in the Mosaic Mood designer series paper pack that have a shine to them. They are absolutely beautiful!
It's Friday!!! Are you ready for the weekend? We are headed back home today from a vacation in the Smoky Mountains. I will be sad leaving, but also I will be ready to get back into my stampin studio and start creating projects for my Daisy Lane Class on July 12th. Check out all the details below.
Have you seen the new Daisy Lane stamp set and the Medium Daisy punch? I am so excited about this bundle that I am going to have a class that is all about them on Friday, July 12th at 6:30pm.
In this class we will be creating projects using the stamp set and the punch, which are included in the class fee. The cost for this class is $45.
Please RSVP by June 29th with class fee if you would like to attend. I only have a couple of spots left!
I am thinking of offering this class as an online class too. If I did that, would you be interested in it? Please let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org or comment below.
On Monday I will be doing my Facebook live at 7:00pm EST. I will be sharing with you how to make the June Paper Pumpkin kit and alternative projects.
Thank you for stopping by today. Have a fabulous weekend!
Happy Stampin and
