Every Monday night at 7:00pm I have a Facebook Live on my Stampin Scrapper Facebook page. Since Stampin' Up! was having a day of celebrating Lovely As A Tree, I thought I should celebrate it too! But, how was I going to celebrate it?
One way was to share with you on my blog post on Monday my favorite Lovely As A Tree and Rooted In Nature stamp sets. Another way was creating a fun project to demonstrate on my Facebook Live.
As my husband, Mr. Wonderful, and I were driving home on Sunday, I noticed how pretty the trees looked against the sky. That got my creative juices flowing on how to take that look and make it into a card. My next step was to search Pinterest for ideas on how to do a sky background and what time of day I wanted to do. After looking at a lot of different cards, I knew I wanted to do a sunset.
I really like how it turned out. I also knew I wanted to use one of the stamp sets that I hadn't used in a very long time. As I was looking through my stamp sets, I found the Calligraphy Essentials stamp set. It had some cobwebs on it, (not really) so it was time to brush it off and use it. I think the sentiment is perfect for this card. What a better way to watch the sunset and thank God for your day.
To make this card you will need the following paper. For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.
- cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
- cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
- cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"
Here is the video showing you how to do the sponging on this card.
Now, you can create beautiful sunsets yourself! What stamp set are you going to use on your project?
Thank you for stopping in today! I hope you have a terrific day! Tomorrow I am heading to Michigan to spend some time with my mom and the rest of my family. I can't wait to see them. It has been way too long!
Happy Stampin and
