A friend of mine, Robin, sent me a picture of this adhesive holder and said I want to make this.  I agreed!  It was perfect to hold your adhesive on your desk and also small enough that you could carry it anywhere you were going to craft.   I would like to thank Sally Stampers for sharing this project on Pinterest.

Good Morning Magnolia

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Good Morning Magnolia, Stampin Blends, Thank You, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I know the new Good Morning Magnolia stamp set is going to be very popular when the new Stampin' Up! annual catalog goes live on June 4th.  It is such a beautiful stamp set with coordinating dies, designer series paper, ribbon, embossing folder and so much more!

I saw this card online, but it wasn't watermarked, so I don't know who created it.  Isn't it beautiful?  I love to color, so this card caught my eye right away.  I used the Petal Pink - light and dark and light Mossy Meadow blends.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Good Morning Magnolia, Stampin Blends, Thank You, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

I tried to color the magnolias to match the designer series paper.  I have to say, they turned out better than I thought they would.  I just love the blends markers.

To make this card you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock:

Whisper White Thick

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"

Petal Pink

  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4"

Whisper White

  • cut at 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"
  • cut at 4" x 5 1/4" for inside the card
  • scraps for flowers

Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper

  • cut at 2" x 5 1/2"

After I stamped the Thanks sentiment, I used the Stitched Shapes framelits to cut it out.  To give the Petal Pink cardstock texture, I embossed it with the Layered Leaves embossing folder.  I also used the new 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon to wrap around the cardstock.

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Good Morning Magnolia, Stampin Blends, Thank You, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

To adhere the sentiment I used Stampin Dimensionals to give it a little bit of lift off of the layer below it.

Most of the products that I used on this card will not be available for purchase until June 4th when the 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! annual catalog goes live.

Lovely As A Tree Facebook Live

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Lovely As A Tree, 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, Calligraphy Essentials, Sponging, Facebook Live, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Every Monday night at 7:00pm I have a Facebook Live on my Stampin Scrapper Facebook page.  Since Stampin' Up! was having a day of celebrating Lovely As A Tree, I thought I should celebrate it too!  But, how was I going to celebrate it?

One way was to share with you on my blog post on Monday my favorite Lovely As A Tree and Rooted In Nature stamp sets.  Another way was creating a fun project to demonstrate on my Facebook Live.

As my husband, Mr. Wonderful, and I were driving home on Sunday, I noticed how pretty the trees looked against the sky.  That got my creative juices flowing on how to take that look and make it into a card.  My next step was to search Pinterest for ideas on how to do a sky background and what time of day I wanted to do.  After looking at a lot of different cards, I knew I wanted to do a sunset.

I really like how it turned out.  I also knew I wanted to use one of the stamp sets that I hadn't used in a very long time.  As I was looking through my stamp sets, I found the Calligraphy Essentials stamp set.  It had some cobwebs on it, (not really) so it was time to brush it off and use it.  I think the sentiment is perfect for this card.  What a better way to watch the sunset and thank God for your day.

To make this card you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Cardstock:

Crushed Curry

  • cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"

Basic Black

  • cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"

Whisper White

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"

Here is the video showing you how to do the sponging on this card.

Now, you can create beautiful sunsets yourself!  What stamp set are you going to use on your project?

Thank you for stopping in today!  I hope you have a terrific day!  Tomorrow I am heading to Michigan to spend some time with my mom and the rest of my family.  I can't wait to see them.  It has been way too long!

Today I am celebrating Lovely As A Tree!  Can you believe this stamp set first came out in the Stampin' Up! 2001 annual catalog.  It is hard to believe that a stamp set has been around for so long.  When I first started being a demonstrator for Stampin' Up! I ordered this stamp on my first order.  I loved it then and still do.  I am going to miss this stamp set.

Here are a few of the cards I have made with the Lovely As A Tree stamp set.

Finally, a card that isn't a Christmas card.  LOL

Lovely As A Tree With Woodgrain Embossing Folder

I promise I have made a lot of cards with this stamp set that weren't Christmas.   I used it a lot before I started my blog on different projects, but I don't have pictures of the projects.

Since we are saying goodbye to Lovely As A Tree, which I love, we need to say hello to Rooted In Nature.  I know if I needed a tree for any of projects I would go to Lovely As A Tree, but now I go to Rooted in Nature.  One thing that I really like in this stamp set is that there is a variety of stamps in this set.  You have sentiments, leaves, trees, a wood stamp and you can also purchase coordinating dies.  Until June 3rd you can get it as a bundle and save 10%!

Here are a few projects that I have made with the Rooted in Nature stamp set.

For my blog post today I wanted to show you which bundles are carrying over to the new catalog (two peas in a pod).  However, in the new catalog they won't be together as a bundle, you will have to purchase the stamp set and coordinating dies or punch separately (soon, just friends).  I wanted to come up with a catchy title for my blog post and all that kept coming to me was two peas in a pod.  I have to say, I think it is kinda cute.

I love doing my Facebook lives and am always looking for different ideas for projects to create during them.  The other day I saw a post on Facebook that was talking about different techniques using vellum.  I haven't really used vellum that much lately, so this would be perfect for my Facebook Live.   The first project I demonstrated was how to do the Stained Glass technique.

This technique really does look like stained glass as you can see in the above picture.  The trick to making this card is, making sure when you do the embossing on the front with the Black Embossing Powder that you make sure it is totally set before working with it.  I have a tip in the video further down in this post on how to do this.

I stamped the images using the stamp set Falling Flowers, which is retiring at the end of the month.  The Stampin' Blends markers are perfect for coloring with this technique.  I colors I used were Bermuda Bay - dark, Daffodil Delight - dark, Flirty Flamingo - dark,  Highland Heather - dark, Night of Navy - light Old Olive - dark.  You could use so many different color combinations on this card.

To make this card you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Doesn't it look like stained glass?  I love this technique!

To make this card you will need a stylus or something similar to it.  Stampin' Up! doesn't sell just the stylus anymore, but if you have the Stampin' Up! Score Tool  there is a stylus included with it.

I used the Lovely Floral embossing folder for my image on the vellum and Lemon Zest stamp set for the sentiment.  Both of these products are on the retirement list.  So, if you want them, don't wait, everything is while supplies last.

Who is going to miss the Gingham Gala designers series paper?  I sure am!  I am happy to let you know that the Butterfly Gala stamp set and Duet Butterfly punch are going to be in the new Stampin' Up! 2019-2020 annual catalog.  I don't know about you, but I absolutely love punches.  When I see there is a stamp set that has a coordinating punch, I get so excited!

I designed this card for one of my card classes and it was a big hit.  You could use any color in the Gingham Gala designer series paper for a total different look.  For the butterflies on this card, I stamped them in Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight and Highland Heather.

There is one thing that I absolutely love about this stamp set.  The butterflies (small and large) are one stamp that fit perfectly with the punch.  You don't have to try and line up the two butterflies to fit perfectly with the punch.  Below is a picture of the stamp set and punch so you can see what I am talking about.
