Dragonfly Dreams Eclipse Card
03/15/2019
It has been a while since I had made an eclipse card or used the Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams stamp set. I taught my advanced card making class this technique and they loved it. It isn't a hard technique, it just takes a little more time to make. It is so worth the time!
I stamped the dragonflies with Memento ink and then colored them with the Dark Pool Party and Dark Night of Navy Blends markers. The more I use the blends markers the more I like, no, love them!
When the ink was dry on all of the dragonflies I added Wink of Stella to them. They needed that little bit of bling to really bring them to life. It is a lot easier to do it now, then later once the letters are cut out. You need to let them totally dry before you use the Large Letter framelits to cut out your letters.
To make this card you will need the following paper. For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.
Cardstock:
Balmy Blue
- cut at 5 1/2" x8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
Whisper White
- cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"
To make the letters really pop I used our Foam Adhesive Strips. They are the perfect width for these letters.
It's Friday!!! Yay! My retreat is getting closer to becoming a reality. I am going to check out a couple more places this weekend. I am hoping to have the location confirmed by the end of the month. Are you doing anything fun this weekend?
Thank you for stopping in today. I hope you have an awesome Friday and weekend!
There you go!
