Merry Christmas Monday Week #3

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up!, Spirited Snowmen stamp set #148072, Frost White Shimmer paint #147046, Dazzling Diamonds #133751, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects go to stampinscrapper.com
I had so much fun making this card!  I used one of my favorite Stampin' Up! stamp sets, Spirited Snowmen.  I know you are all in shock that one of my favorite stamp sets has snowmen in it.  LOL  I made this card for Mr. Wonderful for our 30th anniversary in October.   Can I tell all of you how hard it has been for me to not share this before now!  I knew I wanted to use it in my Merry Christmas Monday series, so I have been patiently waiting until now.

I get so excited when I have a card that I really love and want to share it with everyone.   It has been killing me to keep quiet and if you know me, that is very hard for me to do.  But, I did it!  Yay!

On this card I used a few different techniques.  The first one is masking, which means that you are covering up certain areas of your projects so you can only work on a particular area.  Such as the moon and the snowmen.  For the moon I punched out a 1" circle (keep the paper you punched the circle out of ) and adhered it to the Whisper White paper with repositional tape where I wanted the moon to be.

I stamped the snowmen on the Whisper White paper and also stamped one on a scrap piece of paper.  I cut out the one on the scrap piece of paper and adhered it over the image I stamped on my project piece of  Whisper White paper.  Again, I used the repositional tape to adhere it.  Using this tape made it so much easier to take it off my project.

I then added the blue sky on the Whisper White paper using a combination of Balmy Blue and Night of Navy ink with sponges.   When I was finished I took off the 1" circle and snowmen.  Using the piece that I punched out the 1" circle from I adhered it so that the circles are lined up.  The circle on the paper and the one piece of paper I punched it out of.  I used Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry to create the moon.

Another technique I used was with the White Frost Shimmer Paint.  It is on the snow, snowmen and sporadically on the sky and moon.  On the snow and snowmen I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter after I put on the shimmer paint.  This gave the card a little bit of texture.

I used Stampin Write markers to color the snowmen and Whisper White Craft ink for the snow in the sky.

To make this card you will need the following paper.  For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.

Today I have a beautiful Christmas card to share with you!  When I saw the Winter Woods bundle in the holiday catalog I was thinking of so many different cards I could make with it.  The tree stamps in this set are so pretty and I love the sentiments.  There is a framelit that cuts out some of the branches for a fun 3D look.

We made this card in one of my Christmas card classes and the ladies really liked them!

Did you notice the white on the trees in the background?

First, you run the Smoky Slate cardstock through the Woodland embossing folder.  Then using a dauber and White Craft ink, lightly sponge the ink on the trees.  The piece of white paper is ran through the Softly Falling embossing folder and cut with one of the framelits from the In The Woods framelits.

The snow and trees are popped up using the Stampin Dimensionals.  To finish off the card I added the Metallic Pearls and the Metallic Edge Ribbon.

Anyone would be happy to get this card in the mail.  It is hard to capture the beauty of this card in a picture.  Trust me, it is so pretty in person.  I will be making a lot more of these to send out this year.

Stampin' Up! has informed us that there are 18 products that are getting low on inventory in the holiday catalog.  If you are interested in these products I highly recommend that your order them as soon as possible.  Once they are gone, they are gone for good.

I would also suggest that you order online. Don't forget to use my hostess code  W6Q7CFTS.  For every $50 order or more you will get a free gift from me.  If you order more than $150 DO NOT use the hostess code.  I want  you to get the Stampin' Rewards for yourself.

When there is a Stampin' Up! event, there is swapping involved!  Swapping means you create a certain number of cards (I made 50) all the same design.  Then you swap with all the participants and end up with 50 different cards.  I love participating in swaps and getting other beautiful cards.  I always get a lot of inspiration from their creations.

We made this card at my advanced card class.  It is not difficult, just time consuming.  He is so worth it!

I went to look this morning at my post that were suppose to be posted while I was at OnStage and realized that my post for Saturday never happened.  I will repost it for all of you on Wednesday.

I am going to be changing my days of posting to Monday, Wednesday and Friday at this time.  I am still working with MailChimp and Typepad to get everything straightened out.  I ran into a friend of mine at OnStage and she is going to help me figure out what is going on.  Hopefully, this will be what I need to get it fixed.  I know you are probably frustrated and I truly appreciate your patience.  I know I am extremely frustrated!

I hope all of you have a terrific week!  I will be posting pictures later this week of my time at OnStage.  It was so fun!  I can't wait for the next one.

The first thing I need to do is apologize for all of the problems with you getting an email when I post to my blog.  I have changed from Feedblitz to MailChimp to send the emails to you.  Needless to say, there have been a lot of problems.  Some are fixed and some definitely are not.  So, for now, I will send you an email when I post to my blog with a link to take you right to the post.

I have been very frustrated, confused, trying to learn, have no idea how to fix things, overwhelmed and wanting to walk away from all of it.  I will say Typepad (who I have my blog through) and MailChimp have been wonderful with teaching me things and helping me figure out all of this.

Another issue is trying to make sure that my stampinscrapper.com is a secure web page.  There are new laws that everyone has to comply with.  I finally have all of that fixed!  Yay!!!

If you notice any other issues, please let me know as soon as possible.  I am however, putting the email issue on the back burner until I get back from OnStage.  You can contact me at stampinscraper13@gmail.com.
