I know another Snowman card. What can I say! I love them! This card is one of the four we made at my October Christmas card classes. I have been drawn to the Smoky Slate color lately and thought the new Balmy Blue was a perfect match for a card with snowmen.
I used Stampin' Write markers, so I stamped the snowmen in Stazon ink. I used Balmy Blue, Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Shaded Spruce, Smoky Slate, and Soft Suede markers to color them. I added Wink of Stella on the snowmen and on the snow under them.
To make this card you will need the following paper. For a complete list of all the products I used, please see the end of this post.
- cut at 2" x 5"
- cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
- cut at 1/2" x 5"
- cut at 3" x 3"
- cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
- cut at 2 7/8" x 2 7/8"
- cut at 3 3/4" x 5"
- cut at 4" x 5 1/4" for the inside of the card
I used the Swirls and Curls embossing folder on the strip of Smoky Slate cardstock. I popped up the 3" square using Stampin Dimensionals. On the inside of the card and on the envelope I stamped snowflakes using the stamp in the Spirited Snowmen stamp set.
They are really concentrating on their cards. Did you notice the Spirited Snowmen stamp set on the table? LOL Yes, we did make a card using the stamp set.
They were working on one of the projects that used either embossing powder or heat tool to set other inks.
I can't wait for the next class. I already have a list started on techniques I want to teach.
Tomorrow night I am going to have my Christmas bingo. I have had so much fun working on the Christmas cards we are going to make, wrapping the gifts and decorating my studio. The daycare kids love the Christmas things I have put out already. I will take pictures and share them with you next week.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous Thursday!
