Rooted In Nature and Giveaway! (CT#150)

It is so fun to use new stamps to create projects with! Today on CASEing Tuesday we are using a beautiful card on page 142 in the new annual catalog as our inspiration.
I used the Rooted In Nature stamp set along with the gorgeous Garden Impressions designer series paper on my card today. Since I wanted two different colors on my tree, I used the Stampin Write markers to ink up my stamp. I wanted two colors on the leaves of the tree so I first colored it all over with Old Olive and then dabbed Shaded Spruce, with the wide end of the marker, randomly over the tree. For the tree trunk I used the Early Espresso marker. When you use a marker to ink up your stamp you need to huff on it before you stamp your project. This will help the ink stay wet so you will get a clean stamped image.
To make this project you need the following products:
Cardstock:
Early Espresso
- cut at 5 1/2" 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"
Whisper White
- cut 4" x 5 1/4"
Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper
- cut at 3 3/4" x 5"
- cut at 3 5/8" x 4 3/4"
I used the Burlap Ribbon to make my banner on the top and added one of the leaves from the Leaves Trinkets embellishments. I have to say, these are my favorite embellishments in the catalog.
I am having my One Sheet Wonder class on Friday, June 15th at 6:30pm. We will be making 10 cards from a sheet the Nature's Poem designer series paper. Each attendee will receive a pack of this paper and all the supplies to make the above projects including envelopes. The cost for this class is $30 and is due by June 9th.
