Healing Hugs Get Well Card

Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Healing Hugs stamp set #146530, created by Stampin Scrapper, for more cards, gifts, ideas, scrapbooking and 3D projects, go to stampinscrapper.com, Joyce Whitman

Do you remember the beautiful stamp set Heartfelt Blooms from Sale-A-Bration this year.  Stampin' Up! introduced a new type of stamp they developed called disINKtive stamps with this set.  The stamps are flat, which is totally different from their other stamps. With this type of  stamp you get beautiful dimension on your stamped images with only stamping them once.

When I saw the stamp set Healing Hugs I was so excited for two reasons.  First, it is the new disINKtive style of stamp and the second, is the Get Well sentiment.  I have been wanting a really pretty get well stamp set with a beautiful font for a while now.  I can't thank the designer of this stamp set enough for the beautiful job they did on this set.  This is one stamp set I will be keeping for a very long time.

I originally designed this card for one of the make and takes at my catalog launch party last Saturday.  I have since made three more to send out to friends who need encouragement while they are recuperating.  I hope that this card will brighten their day!

To make this card you will need the following products:

Cardstock:

Poppy Parade

  • cut at 5 1/2" 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

Pear Pizzazz

  • cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"

Whisper White

  • cut 2 at 4" x 5 1/4"

When you stamp your flowers I first inked the rose stamp up with Poppy Parade ink and then stamped off on a piece of scrap paper.  I then stamped the flower in the bottom left hand corner first and then immediately stamped it again right next to it.  I then reinked my stamp and stamped off again and then stamped the last flower on the top right.  For the leaves, I inked up the stamp and stamped off before I stamped on the card front.  The "Get Well Soon" sentiment I did not stamp off, it was stamped right after I put ink on it.

I also used the rose stamp for the inside of my card and on the front of the envelope.

To add a little sparkle to your card, you could always add Wink of Stella to the flowers and leaves to really make them pop.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have a great day!
