Shadow Box

I have seen shadow boxes on Pinterest, Facebook and other demonstrator blogs a lot lately.  I wanted to make one, but had no idea how to do it.  Then a fellow demonstrator, Mary Ann Rossiter, put directions on Facebook and I was so excited!  Once I saw the directions, it really wasn't hard to make at all.

Here are the pictures she posted on how to make the shadow box.  I started with a 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of card stock.

Aren't her directions wonderful!!!  I was so thankful that she shared those with everyone.  I need to figure out how to put words on my pictures like Mary Ann did.  One step at a time.

I decorated the Dapper Denim frame with the stamp set Falling Flowers and Gorgeous Grunge inked in Dapper Denim.  The sentiments are from the stamp set Flourishing Phrases and I used the Decorative Label and Classic Label  punches.  I also used Bitty Butterfly, Elegant Butterfly and Pansy punches and  Swirly Scribbles and Flourish framelits/thinlits to decorate the frame.  I used the 2016-2018 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack.

To make this project you need the following materials:

Dapper Denim Card Stock #141414

  • cut at 8 1/2" x 8 1/2"

In Color Designer Series Paper Stack (Sweet Sugarplum) #141408

  • cut at  3 1/2" x 3 1/2"

Scraps in the following colors:

  • Dapper Denim #141414
  • Night of Navy #100867
  • Sweet Sugarplum #141418
  • Whisper White #100730
  • Wild Wasabi #108641 - I used this also for the mate on the sentiments.

I added a little bling with Rhinestones on the butterfly and flowers.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Happy Stampin!
